With Adanmar’s undead sense of where Strahd is, it is clear that you have a direct idea of where the vampire waits for you. The room, meanwhile, is essentially empty aside from the water-ridden floors. Roughly an inch of standing water covers the molding stone. Viorela’s divine sense curls out through the carverns and, from what she can determine, there are no immediate creatures of those kinds within sixty feet of her. Of course, this is Castle Ravenloft, and you’re sure that that could change any minute. The group continues forward. Making their way throughout the underground labyrinth of tombs and burials, I’ll need a Survival check from whoever is leading to continue onward amidst the winding curves of the tunnels.

This is vhat you are looking for then?” Sure enough, amidst the darkness, the vampire scourge holds a book bound in thick leather and steel. “I grow tired of this game, MistBusters. Your pathetic attempts at defiance will end only in a pain beyond death for each of you.”

As you loose the arrows, Strahd simply backs away into the wall and vanishes. Meanwhile, the arrows find purchase... firmly in the wood paneling. You hear a voice like thunder surround you all, “Do you really believe that you hold any form of power over me? You stand solely upon the ever-shrinking ground of my mercy, amidst the all-consuming tempest that is my rage! You live because I allow it. You will die because I will it.” With that, silence falls upon the room.
