((I guess every group is different, and I think the DM maybe have at least hinted to this previously, but normally intimidation, persuasion, and deception checks don't work on fellow PC's. Some DM's allow it though I had a DM that called for Deception checks here on a board, it was quite a fun scene, but I don't think I'd like to be told that my character is scared of another's because of a botched roll))

"FIne, if it'll shut you and your insistent questioning.....my earliest memories are of living on the streets, begging, stealing whatever I could to survive. On one particularly spectacular job, I made the mistake of stealing from the wrong man. But instead of turning me in, he saw potential in me, and began to groom me in the fine art of burglary. I quickly grew in the ranks, easily out earning my fellow urchins, eventually my mentor invited me along on jobs with him. One time however he got sloppy....didn't do enough research and when we went in, we were confronted by the proprietor of the establishment who wasn't supposed to be there. He got the drop on us, and had my mentor at the end of his blade. His first mistake was dismissing me as nothing but a cutpurse....in the blink of an eye I leapt upon his back and slit his throat and we got away with the goods. This however upset my mentor because I had broken his cardinal rule - no violence - instead of returning me to the streets - he gave me to another, a man named Felix where he said my new found talents would be of more use. For Felix was a member of the Citadel of Assassins, there I learned how to impersonate, infiltrate and assassinate whomever the contract was for. I became particularly adept at the use of the longbow, thus allowing me to complete contracts from a distance with less chance of being caught. My success rate with the bow garnered me my nickname Elwarith the Accurate. I was also taught the fine art of poisoning, for when striking from afar was not an option...."

((An excellent observation, I try to avoid having people force players to do other things. Deception, performance, physical checks are all good though, because that makes sense. Just Persuasion and intimidation are things I like to leave to the players to decide.))

It's around this time that the mists around you grow thicker, you can still see the road, but anything beyond that is difficult to make out. All those who are outside the wagon, I will need a Perception check from you.

Though most of the team was distracted by Elwarith's antics, Davmorn never once loss his sense of focus. Therefore, he is not even slightly surprised when he sees a figure through the mists. Whatever it is is walking straight in the path of the wagon and pays no attention to the oncoming wagon. They seem to be crossing the road from one side of the forest to the other. Because Davmorn was so perceptive, he is also able to notice two pinpoints of red glowing in the mists near the figure's head.

Bry feels the wagon 'screech' to a halt as he is jostled a bit by it's stopping, he then hears Davmorn call out. He looks to the others riding in the back as he places his hand on his dagger and winks, "Just in case ya know"

"Ho, there!" Davmorn pulls on the reins to halt the wagon.
He stands in his seat, narrowing his eyes and staring at the red pinpoints that caught his eye.
"Good day, fellow," Davmorn calls out to the figure.
