MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

Grim goes downstairs, and attacks the weird lady caught in a whip. 

Action: attack- 8. Damage- 9.

Bonus Action: flurry of blows- 17. Damage- 5.to hit: 8. Damage- 8. Dexterity saving throw or become prone.

As Grim throws his first punch toward the weird lady, she actually catches your arm. Oddly enough, Grim feels scaly skin that betrays her wrinkled visage. She grins, “Don’t you know to never hit a lady?” With that, she throws Grim back a bit, throwing off the rest of his attacks. Unfortunately, none hit.

Bry’s up! Currently, he sees George grappling an old woman while being beaten by Grim and choked out by a lady in heavy armor.

((*high voice* 15 doesn't hit? Oh no.))

((Tough old bird))

((Grim wait.  George knock prone.  Then Grim have advantage.))

Bry, seeing the old lady and his teammates attacking her, lights up his hand with a firebolt. "What's that smell?" he says has he chucks the bolt at the lady 

Attack: 9 for 6 fire damage

The firebolt goes wide as the woman struggles with George and strikes one of the locks on the chicken coops. The door opens and a chicken strolls out of the windmill. The woman cackles at your attempt. You determine that the horrid smell is definitely coming from the blackened substance that was in the barrel. You’re to sure what it is, but you could make an Arcana check if you’d like.

Elwarith will draw another arrow and shoot it past his companions in to the crazy old lady...

The arrow thud’s into the woman’s chest as George pushes her into its path, and you hear a long, rasping, gasp for air. See is still standing, but she is looking incredibly rough. As Elwarith backs away behind a table to hide, she shouts, “I can see you! You moss-headed ninny!” And returns to struggling with George.

The arrow sails into the woman’s shoulder, she winces as natural magic seems to pulse with a flash of Adanmar’s brand. Then, the MistBusters see an unnerving sight. You’ve all seen Adanmar change into his shifter form, but this is... different. Bone and sinew snaps, realigning and piercing through hardening flesh, covering Adanmar in chitin-like armor, Adanmar’s jaw unhinges and realigns, splitting at the cheeks, and those piercing red pin dots seem to completely cover his eyes. It seems that being undead has an interesting effect on his natural shifting. Adanmar gains 4 Temp Hit Points.

SAMUDRA IS UP NEXT!

Samudra gives up trying to attack with her scimitar, and instead casts Flame Blade as a bonus action on her turn. Then she lunges toward the pinned old lady being grappled by George, Attack: 16 Damage: 11

As Samudra swings her blade down, her mind travels back to that fight... those bats... so... many... bats, and with her Druidic might, she ignites her hand into a furious blade of flame! THE CURSE IS BROKEN! The blade arcs into the woman’s side as more blacked ichor flies out of her side. She screams and will now act. With a wave of her hand, “Hulking lug with brain of mush, return to your home within the brush, cease your traits befitting a buffoon and take the form of a young baboon!” Morgatha will cast Polymorph on George! George needs to make a Wisdom save! ((According to George, he rolled a 13, which is exactly what he needed)) Morgatha’s eyes go wide as the magic swirls around George, but dissipates with a poof. The woman lets out a horrid scream of frustration as she fails.

MEANWHILE! Viorela acts simultaneously with Morgatha, so it is also her turn!

"Foul creature, you don't frighten me," Viorela lashes out again with her whip. "You and I have unfinished business. Instead of failing to cast a spell, why not try me on?" 

(Attack: 10. Damage: 14. No smite this time around.)

How do you want to do this?

As the whip connects on the hag's wrist, Viorela spots Morgatha give a small look of terror. Fueled by her righteous rage against evil monsters, Viorela tugs on the whip hard and pulls off the old woman's hand. Morgatha screeches as she clutches her stomp with her other gnarled hand. Before she could react, Viorela whirled her whip back, careful to avoid her strange, new allies, and brought the whip down with thunderous and righteous fury. In an instant, the woman was cut in twain and died with a shriek.

Viorela breathes heavily from her labor but has a grim smile upon her face. If anyone gives her any strange looks, she merely replies, "Um... my whip has been blessed..."

(and that is how you explain why your whip is a d6 instead of a d4.)

The body shimmers and reveals a green, horrid creature under the guise of the woman. This is a green hag. You all wait for a moment, waiting for the daughters to seek you out, but there is no such response. All hangs quiet.
