This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Raist floats along behind the group making sue nothing else tries to sneak up on them and begins to wonder where the group will go from here. He will also send Hoot up in the air to circle the group to help keep an eye out as well.
Amathile shoves his sword back into its sheath and grabs his shield. He casts a sour glance at the dead creature as he heads back with the others. He wipes his wet hair out of his face and realizes it's already starting to freeze in place. "Let us hurry then. Wet clothing and cold weather is sure not good for anyone living."
Once back at the cabin Masimar seems to regain some of his old self. You would have all noticed he is missing the small toe on his left foot, which explains the bloody footprints you found earlier. He quickly explains the situation. The creature came to his home 7 days prior to this, and the two struggled mightily. The creature struck some lucky blows, and, eventually had Maximar to an inch of his life. At this point Maximar looks ashamed as he relates that he called out, in his near-dead state, for the group of them. The creature, hearing htis, decided to use him as bate for the group of you.
"I know how to get the creature to come out in the open." Maximar says once finished with his story. "If I go out there and call it out, it won't be able to keep from coming to face me."
Jown Sno says, "I think it is a good idea. Though I would have liked to have a rest before we fight something like this, I don't think we have the time. We will have to fight it as is."
"Can we at least wait until my clothing drys... or can someone magic them dry? I just prefer not to go out in the cold and fight risking hypothermia." Amathile complains.
Gilra ... nods I guess. It's pretty hard to see though, his head is about the size of the building and mostly in the dark of night. (btw, how much time roughly has passed? The shapechange lasts an hour)

"So, I'll need to first give one of you my sword." Maximar says, pulling a cord from aorund his neck. "Hold this up to the door as you approach the shed. It will allow you to open the door to the shed and retrieve the sword."
When someone retrieves it they find:
4 Arrows of Slaying (Monstrosities)
one Potion of Invulnerability
Equalizer - Weapon (Long Sword)
Let me know who would like to wield this legendary weapon. It gives you a +3 to attack and damage, and you attack with advantage as long as you have less HP than your target. If you have more HP you attack with disadvantage.
Gandolph listens "So are we going to rest for the night or are we just going to take a short rest? I'm ready to go whenever the rest of you are ready."
Sorumar will hold onto his spear, "A rest wouldn't hurt, if this cursed area will allow us to actually feel rested, but I'm good to go if we're ready."
I am waiting until I get a post from everyhone, before moving on. We have the majority, but I'm going to wait a bit longer to make sure we have everyone's post. If you have no feedack on the above posts, then just post you are ready.
As a note you can all tell that Maximar is on his last leg, he is barely able to sit in a chair let alone stand on his feet. His plan has him going outside, alone (at least at first) to draw the monster out. He expects to die in doing so.
Gilra is ready. Before the shapechange fades he will spend a few minutes preparing the surrounding area (couple hundred feet) for battle, should it happen here.
He will warm the place up by using his fire breath in various directions to melt the snow and ice and possibly torch some nearby trees to make the area light up. He will also use his claws to gauge out some trenches in various directions, about 3-4 feet deep, just so someone could duck and move in one, then stand up and do their ranged attacks, etc.
Then drops the form (assuming it will fade anyway before the Wendigo shows up) and gains 80 tmp HP through Symbiotic Entitiy.

For the kraken swimming in the lake, you don't find anything out of the norm.

Gilra switches to an ancient red dragon and follows the group, curling up around the cabin and listening in through the window.
"Seems like a bold move." Vaden says with a grin. He flips a coin and catches it...
coin flip: 1 1 = heads, 2 = tails.
"Definitely a good idea." Vaden says as he takes in the heads-up coin. "What do the rest of you think?"
Jown Sno says, "I think it is a good idea. Though I would have liked to have a rest before we fight something like this, I don't think we have the time. We will have to fight it as is."

I'd say it is finishing up about now.
Raist casts Prestidigitation onto Amathile and then says, "A rest would be nice, but I am ready when you all are."
"I agree, " Six Coins says. "A rest would be nice, but we should deal with this creature as soon as possible."

Lot's of stuff ...

If no one else wants it, Jown would like to have the Potion of Invulnerability.

That reminds me. Please do any buffing, battle area prep, etc you wish to do, prior to the time Maximar leaves the cabin to draw out the monster.
