As soon as Matilda feels the water pull her in a different direction than she is going, she will look up to Mouse (waiting for Jack to be on board).
In Mouse's head, you hear "Sweet Susan I am being pulled! These damn orbs are doing something to the ocean! Pull me up, Mouse!" As soon as Mouse makes eye contact, Matilda will shape back into her normal form and grab onto the broom.

As soon as Jack catches the broom, Mouse's deft hands begin working furiously. He's able to loose the knot around his waist and securely tie the rope off on the side rail of the boat. ((Fast Hands))
"Quickly now Jack!" He yells down to the Monk, reaching one hand out in aid, while the other grips the rail tightly. He felt his voice carried clearer than it should have. What had happened to the sea? All was too still.
((I'll extend the help action if i can, and let Rogue roll to climb. Then i'll react to the rest of the orb effects and roll to pull matilda up))
Gunher holds onto the side of the boat and watches Professor Lionhart grab the twins. "This boat trip has gotten more rocky. I'm glad I didn't drink before the race."

As the seas begin to swirl and pull their craft in, Mouse braces with his legs against the inside of the boat. Reeling the rope in hand over hand to pull Matilda up as she attempts to scramble back in to the boat.

"Gunner help with the sail!!" He yells as he notices the two people struggling with lowering the sail.
Jack realizes that if they want to get out of here they would need to get the engine running!
Guhner effortlessly pulls the sail close and ties the rope down! Captain Kane seems to be losing control of the boat and Guhner sees on of the orbs being whipped towards them by the water!
Mouse begins to pull Matilda up but he still having trouble! He manages to get her up out of the water and to the railing, but cant seem to get he up any farther!
Mouse cant find the strength to get Matilda over, but at least she had hold of the rail now! "Guhner! Come help Matilda now! I'll get the engine going!" Taking the excess rope he has, he ties another knot around the rail. So that as long as Matilda is able to hold her grip, she shouldn't slip back into the sea.
Then in a moment of high stress, Mouse shifts into his more rat-like form, ears growing into points. Nose, teeth and nails extending out until he resembles a giant rat standing on two legs!
In an instant he goes from where he was at the side of the boat, to the stern.
Investigation roll to see if Mouse can ascertain how to start the engine: 8
Matilda dangles from the side of the ship an d is almost thrown off as another orb collies with the hull!
"The metal box at the back of the ship!" The captain shouts back to Guhner.
Both Mouse and Jack rush to the metal box and try to figure out how to work it. A small handle attached to a cord sticks out of the side and on top is a small lid labeled in weathered letters "Fuel". Next to the engine sit a large glass bottle full of murky brown liquid. From these clues the two of them figure that they'll have to fill the engine at then pull the cord to turn it on. Of course, they don't have long, for everyone can fell the boat getting pulled closer and closer to the center to the whirlpool!
Mouse doesn't wait for an answer. Stepping to the other side of the engine, he opens the 'Fuel' labeled top. Then grabs hold of the large bottle with long clawed hands, and does his best to pour the fluid into the small opening, while the boat spun and rocked hard with each orb striking. His tail brushed the deck, nervously swaying, trying to help him balance.
The metal box roars to life, the sound overpowering the wind and waves! Immediately the boat lurches forward and starts to make progress out of the whirlpool! With Guhner's strength and the force of the boat, Matilda is quickly lifted aboard.
But there is no time to relax, as another wave brigs forth several more black orbs!
