The eerie silence that follows the crashing of the rocks all around you and your near misses is broken only by Thalion's determined movement in the lead of the group. The elven ranger moves with an assuredness that was not as evident in the city, and soon he is nimbly picking his way up along a different path, clambering his way forward.
After a few minutes, it becomes clear that Thalion got the group back on track, and as you scramble upwards, you start to see some changes in the environment -- the air, though thinner, is noticeably clearer as you get higher up the mountain. The decaying vegetation that defined the lower part of the path now gives way to lichen and mosses, in an array of greens and blues. A slight fog (or clouds?) descend upon the mountain, and as you reach a small brook at a fairly flat part of the mountain, you sense you all are very close now, and Dr. Aleksei is nearby.
(Who will lead the last leg? Remember to add Grin's guidance to your roll too...)

Huffing slightly but glad to be back on track Nevlav takes the lead albeit grudgingly. His fortitude and training letting him use the best choices when it came to pushing through, or overcoming the rare obstacle.

2 - Encounter Table
Nevlav takes the lead at a march, his military training coming through as he leads the group at a brisk pace along the Alpine level. Unfortunately, a heavy layer of fog is settling in, and as you march, it becomes harder and harder to see. At a certain point, the visibility becomes so poor, you can only see the person in front of you, and Nevlav --in the lead--can see nothing but a few inches of hard mountainous terrain in front of you. After what seems like forever, the fog starts to lift, and appearing about 10-15 feet in front of you, resting on a rocky outcropping that is slightly above you, is a Harpy. It doesn't seem to have realized you are there yet, as it seems to be preoccupied with grooming its large, black wings. It makes a strange, discordant sound as it does so, that is very unnerving to hear.
As the rest of the party starts to move carefully around the harpy, what can only be described as a comedy of errors occurs. First, Alden kicks a rock that goes skittering right pass the harpy's perch. The creature pauses from its grooming, looking up and cocking its head, uttering a low growl. Then Thalion nearly drops his bow as he tries to draw it while walking, the ranger's sigh of relief apparently catching the harpy's ears. She leans forward, gripping the edge of the rock, looking ready to leap off. It is at this exact moment that Yoric is seized by a sneezing fit. The harpy lets loose a howl and flaps her massive wings, flying upwards into the air.

Thaliontries to hide among the trees and bushes like he normally would in his woodland home, only to realize he's basically just standing against a rock, a brown and green-clad elf perfectly outlined against the grey stone.
"Why did it have to be harpies?!" he laments in elvish before knocking an arrow.
(If its okay with y'all, we can do combat as we did last time -- anyone listed in green can post their action at any time so you don't necessarily have to wait for your turn in the order. Everyone cool with that?)

Alden
Alden will keep his arrow notched and aimed at the Harpy but, move off to the side of the creatures view. Once a bit off to the side he will let an arrow loose at the target:

The harpy hisses at you all as you hear its big, feathery wings flap, all of you feeling the gusts of air moving off of them. As Nevlav bellows, the creature looks around nervously and seems to identify you as the main threat, its eyes narrowing.
As the creature seems to focus in on Nevlav, one of Grin's magic stones finds its mark, hitting it right at the point where its wing connects to its monstrous body. It dips in flight as you hear the impact, and Grin, you notice a ripple of black, decaying energy dissipate through the wing.
Unfortunately, the erratic movement caused by the magic stone's strike causes Alden's arrow to go wide, and it disappears into the mist.
WIS saving throw: 5
Yoric, as your insulting, vicious mockery of the creature find its mark, the Harpy's eye slightly twitches, and you can tell that your words certainly hurt its monstrous feelings.
Little late, but Grin will offer guidance to whomever is in the lead. 4

Thalion draws his bow and using his innate ability to blend into the wilderness he tries to hide himself from view as well.

Nevlav fidgets, ever so slowly reaching behind him to don his shield. He looks to his comrades behind him for confirmation on their next steps.
Seeing the group attempt to be stealthy the gnome nods along and too tries to step lightly.

Yoric grimaces at all the noise from the others, but does his best to hide anyways
