Eoni screams in rage at having been mauled and incapacitated by the bilgehook. Her eyes glow red with anger as the beam of moonlight shifts suddenly, focusing on the bosun who injured her.
With the second vicious attack Rollo cuts down the last of the real opposition. Looking around the deck you see the various remaining pirates surrendering to the crew of the Vagabond. Their ship still attached to the vagabond and ripe for looting
Eoni stands up straight, dusting herself down, before straightening her pirate hat. She nods in thanks to Rollo and then marches over to the enemy ship to see what loot can be found.
Within the hold you find little of value, clearly these reavers were on the fringes of desperation when they attacked. Moving into the Captains Quarters Eoni finds an ornate short sword on a rack alongside a large great axe, the blade shaped like the fanged maw of a roaring dragon. On an armour rack sits a peculiar looking set of scale mail, unusually it is made of some kind of hide instead of the usual metal links
Diomedes wanders off towards the direction of the lower decks, muttering much work to do and Chief. He is so wrapped up in his thoughts, that he seemingly hadn't noticed the bilgehook still embedded in his shoulder until it stops him getting through the narrow door.
A few spare crew members from the Vagabond are left to operate the pirate vessel and return it to Ryder's home port in Regalport to either expand his fleet or sell for a profit. He congratulates you all on a job well done for repelling your share of the raiders and gets busy ordering crew into treating the wounded, clearing the decks of the dead and starting minor repairs to the Vagabond. By the next day it almost seems as if the attack never happened.
After about a week you awaken to see a storm cloaked island in the distance but crystal clear waters below you. In the depths below you can make out a dark shadow, like a stain on the seabed, nestled against an underwater ravine.
Rollo spots only natural wildlife making its way around the ravine underneath the surface. Ryder and Qura meet you all on the foredeck. All right me hearties we are here. Below us lay the wreckage of the Dread Pearl. What we are searching for is down there in the depths. Qura has made us some potions of water breathing. There’s enough for us to have one now and another in case we are down there for longer than an hour. Drink up and we’ll be on our way
