Forbi/Dorbi: Try as you might, you can't think of anyone acting suspicious around you in the last little while, and you aren't sure where you would even start to sell odd creature parts to.
Hercule: The only people you can think of offhand that would purchase odd creature parts would be a mage generally, though there would probably be a criminal market for such things in Waterdeep, as big as it is.
After struggling to remember any shady groups, Dorbi has an idea “What if we start a rumour that we have possession of an orb. We could call it ‘The Orb of Well-being’ or something like that. We rent out a building or a room in the city and each of us goes out to local taverns and bars and ‘accidentally’ mentions that this orb is being transported there tomorrow evening. We see which group comes for it, take them down without killing them and then question them to find out who they work for”
“Perhaps check with gate captains first about suspicious cargo coming in to town? Then look for alternative entrances... smugglers and the like.” Pelaios will go to do just that with anyone else who’s interested
Rose made a skeptical noise "The problem with starting a rumour like that is that if we made the Orb sound good enough to chase, then we'd likely have everyone from the Zhentarim to Bregan D'aerth to the Cult of the Dragon on our butts. I don't know about you guys, but I like my butt where it is and I'd rather not have it on Manshoon's wall." She nodded at the suggestion to speak to the gate captains and replied "That could work, and would at least be something to start with."
Admora wipes her mouth after easing her empty plate away from her. "A sound plan, in truth. Perhaps gain an insight to see if members of the guard are even working with any... suspicious groups."
Forbi takes a big slurp out of one of the bowls as the brown, gravy like substance drips off of a section of his moustache. “Speaking to the Guards sounds like a sound plan to me. The more we learn about these ass holes, the easier it will be to take them dow… hic!” he finishes his sentence with a slight hiccough, brought on from eating too quickly.
Rory nods as you hash out your plan to talk to the guards. "We should talk to the guards at the north and east gates to be sure, just in case the wagon was trying to be inconspicuous. They had a pretty good lead on us though and more than likely the guard changed since then, so maybe we check with the morning guard tomorrow to ask our questions. Make a decision and let me know. If you decide to sleep on it, I'll have us baths drawn and quarters set up to get some sleep. It's been a pretty rough day to be honest."
Cautious of hiccoughing once more but with a sigh of relief at the thought of sleep, Forbi smiles “A nights rest does sound good. Don’t worry about a bath for me and my sister and rather than organising a room, is there any chance we could sleep on the rooftop or somewhere else out in the open. We prefer to see the stars when we sleep rather than these ceiling things”
Hercule's ears perk up at the idea of resting. "Yes, we need some rest after the day we've had." He shakes his head at the idea of sleeping outside, though he likes the idea of looking at the stars. "I would like a room with a window if you have it."

Rory has staff show you all to a large barracks room with around ten bunks and they leave to prepare bathes for anyone interested. One of the staff comes back shortly after and take Forbi and Dorbi to the roof of The Magic Mouth, promising that they should not hear to much noise from below as they have been given two tents and sleeping bags on the quieter side of the establishment. You find that despite all the hustle and bustle of mercenaries coming and going, the walls (and ceilings) are quite sound dampening.
You wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to go. Meeting Rory and Finn in the feast hall, you grab some breakfast and begin to discuss your plans for the day. Finn begins to speak as you dig into your food, "I'm thinking we should split up and not waste too much time, half of us could go to the east gate, and the other half can go to the north."
Nodding at the man, Rory looks at everyone else. "How does that sound to the rest of you?"
After having such a great sleep and feeling refreshed, Forbi and Dorbi had de-rigged their tents and returned them to the establishment before making their way down to everyone else. Forbi sits with a sharpening stone in his hand, running it over the edge of the axe. Dorbi maintains a couple of her arrows. Forbi looks up after hearing the question “Sure, splitting up and going to a gate sounds good to us”
Admorafeels her body ease as she transcends into her meditation. A spiral of metallic colours in shadow as she rises, they eventually fade into a place of warmth and light. Not the loudest, she hears Her voice in song as she descends back. She reads and recites prayers to herself as she waits for the others to wake...
The elf joins them for a modest breakfast of oats and milk. She nods in agreement to Finn's suggestion, "I would like to go the east gate."
Rose, freshly bathed and armour polished, came out gleaming. She had completed her daily prayers in the bath as proper for a Sunite, and was now ready to face the world. As the conversation started during breakfast Rose nodded and added "I'll go for the North Gate."
Forbi smiles “We’re happy to go with Admora to the East Gate, right sis?” Dorbi sighs and mutters “You always go for the good looking ones” She then raises her voice “Sure, East Gate is fine with me”
“If that’s the case, I think I’ll head to the East... Admora could use the assistance talking to guards, rather than the help of the gremlins.” Pelaios puts his hands together, hiding them in his sleeves dramatically.
Rory nods as everyone chooses gates, "Ok then. Finn, accompany Rose and Hercule to the north gate and the rest can come with me to the east gate"
You split up and begin to navigate the busy streets, noting the travelers passing through, wandering merchants selling their wares, and bored looking guards apparently walking a well defined path as they barely watch where they are going, preferring to allow their guard status to clear a path through the crowds while watching for all manner of people misbehaving.
Rose/Hercule: As you near the large northern gate, you see ten guards and one officer in total. Four of the guards are stationed on the wall, all wielding heavy crossbows, and three guards along each side of the gate, greeting people as they come in. The officer is in a guard shack tucked into the inside of the left wall and stands up to greet you as he sees you coming. Finn asks you to talk to the officer while he checks with the guards on the right side of the wall. "May I help you with something today?"
Forbi/Dorbi/Pelaios/Admora: You make it to the eastern gate to find basically the same set up, four up top, three on each side below, except there is no officer present here at the moment. This gate is generally not quite as busy as the north and south gates although it does see its fair share of use. Currently there is only one wagon waiting to get into the gate and four of the soldiers are gathered up near one side of the wall talking and laughing. When they notice you walking towards them they get a more serious look on their face and step forward to greet you. "Well met ladies and gents, what can I do for you this morning?"
Forbi/Dorbi: Try as you might, you can't think of anyone acting suspicious around you in the last little while, and you aren't sure where you would even start to sell odd creature parts to.

Admora expresses approval of a night's rest before actioning any plans, "A bee that rests to feed on one flower is ready for a hundred more."
Rose nodded. "A bath and bed would be very welcome."
