(OOC: Sorry Jakob! I missed your post and then this weekend happened and I appologize)
The figures do not move as the burly man quickly transforms into an elk and snatches the Kobold by the back of his clothing and flings him on to his back. They race down the drive and turn south. After racing for a couple minutes you turn and look behind you to realize that you are not being followed.
The Elk and Kobold quickly gallop down the twisting and overgrown road. the road is heavily shaded as the surrounding forest tries to reclaim the winding path. After about fifteen minutes of hard riding, the two of them see an opening up ahead. Quickly the two of them spot Oscar hard at work repairing a fishing net outside his shack as the trees open up and they find themselves in the intersection where they encountered the stampede not so long ago.
Elk-Jakob bugles in response and continues galloping toward the inn. Arriving outside the door, the elk halts and waits as Mith climbs down. Wild shaping back into his human form, Jakob breathes a sigh of relief as he draws out his rag and wipes his watering eyes and running nose. "I think we avoided some trouble," he says, winded. "Let's see if the others are here." He pushes the door open, but waits for Mith to enter first.
Mith climbs off the elk quickly as Jakob starts to make his change. He dusts himself off and then moves to enter the inn hoping to spy his friends.
If he sees them he quickly scampers over to hop on a chair and sit with them.
"Uh, yeah so we found a creepy house filled with rotted bodies but beat feet when creatures started coming after us. It was up the road from where we fought the first stampede."
A few townsfolk are more than surprised as a kobold comes riding into town on the back of a large elk. As they stop and front of the inn, a small little girl laughs and claps as the elk turns back into a human before making their way into the inn. When they get inside they see their companions talking among themselves and eating a late lunch. As they approach the table the goblin barkeep gives them a nod before quickly crinkling his long green nose and sniffing the surrounding air.
"Hey guys. Are you alright... uh... you may want to take a bath before sitting down..."Tempest says in greeting noticing the looks of the others in the inn and seeing that Jakob and Mith seem to be, at least physically, alright.
Jakob tries to sniff himself, but his nose makes a raspy noise, and he shrugs. "My nose is too stuffed up for me to tell." He looks at Mith and then the others. "I don't know that we have time for that. I think it would be best if we ate quickly and then returned to the house to investigate it together as soon as possible. We may have tipped our hats a little, and I'd hate to give them time to cover any clues."
OOC: I'm heading north tomorrow morning and will be away from home all of the next week. I hope to be able to continue to play, but if I disappear, feel free to bot me if you so desire.
Mith looks blankly at the others, then gives a bit of a sniff as he raises his left arm in the air, his nose pointed at his pit. "Why you making those faces? I don't smell nothin'. We need to get back to that house, troubles brewin' there but it was too much for us to handle without you."
Norge looks up from his meal, swallows, and says, "That house sounds like all sorts of no good. You're probably right. We better get there sooner than later." With that he shovels the last few bites of food into his mouth quickly and stands up from the table. "To the creepy death house we go."
Azure stuffs his face and grabs a couple pieces of meat and extends it out to Mith and Jakob. 'If we're going to fight you'll need some energy." he mumbles with a full mouth.
”I agree, we should make our way to the house while daylight is upon us. It does not sound like a place where we should want to find ourselves after dark, especially after last night’s episode.”
”Although, given what we have just heard, it would seem that the daylight hours add no comfort from the effects of this plague. Either way, let us be off now.”
Did we get away?

Jakob uses a hoof to scratch "TOWN?" into the dirt so that Mith can read it.
Mith nods, "Yeah, town. We need to tell the others and come back in strength." He holds on tight as he rides.

(I assume they head to the inn?)
"Try the inn first, that's where the rest most likely are at this time." Mith says as they reach the crossroads.
Elk-Jakob bugles in response and continues galloping toward the inn. Arriving outside the door, the elk halts and waits as Mith climbs down. Jakob follows Mith in and sits, but lets the kobold do the talking.

(So you going to the house or are you going to see Iron-Tail?)
Jakob votes for the house, but he doesn’t know what they saw on the bar bot yet.
(I'll go for house too.)
Azure stuffs his face and grabs a couple pieces of meat and extends it out to Mith and Jakob. 'If we're going to fight you'll need some energy." he mumbles with a full mouth.
Mith reaches out and snags the offered meat and stuff it in his mouth. While chewing he mumbles "To the house then right?"
are you all planning on leaving immediately or waiting until tomorrow. right now it is probably getting close to 4 or 5 pm
