Reggie, you look out into the crowd. It is filled with commoners and traders pushing wares on interested parties. Some are decked out with arms and equipment (maybe adventurers?) and seem to be browsing different vendors. You notice there is a man that is leaning against the wall of a building at the entrance of the alley and he seems to be looking at the ground at first glance, but you look closer and they seem to be watching the alley way to Arrow's Oddities.
Broadhorn you grab a book off a shelf on the east wall. It is titled "Marriage is a trap!" by Clekess Zonbi. The forward reads this as a book of a gnome bachelors love life.
Grovalder looks at you all, a gleam in his eye that he has visitors. "Ah, you seek the owner of Arrow's Oddities...Mr. Arrow Diamond! The lad is quite a busy traveler you see, which is why he's left me in charge of the store! I find joy and comfort in reading books of lost knowledge and inspiring tales of great adventures past. Though I may not seem it, I was an adventurer, like you all seem to be, back in the day! Though, those times are long well past me. I enjoy sitting in the shop and reading a good book...there's plenty to choose from!"

Reggie, about 30 seconds have passed since your party has entered the shop. There hasn't been loud voices or sounds of a scuffle. You keep your crossbow ready and you train your eyes on this person at the other end of the alley. There is still foot traffic on that road as people leave and enter the market space. A woman commoner breaks from the traffic and starts to head down the alley. They are wearing a handmade dress and is carrying a book in their hand. Let me know if you do anything.
Inside the shop, Grovalder responds to Drummer "Ah, hurried adventurers. I remember the days where I had to be quick and get from place to place. My livelihood relied on it! Do I get the pleasantries of know who you all are? Do you personally know Mr. Diamond? I have not seen you all in the shop before..."

Broadhorn closes the book, blushes and answers Ardeth. "Well.. My place was a mess too, it was a real rats nest. I real one. I had plenty of mice living in my cottage." He drops the book straight down to the ground. "I don't know much about marriage, okay?"

“My name is Drummer. My friends and I were having breakfast when we were interrupted by a goblin fellow with a connection of some sort to Mr Diamond. He was then chased down and attacked before we could intervene.”
The women walks down the alley and doesn't seem to notice you Reggie. She opens the door to Arrow's Oddities and walks in. The man at the end of the alleyway hasn't moved, head still tilted to the ground.
Inside Arrow's Oddities: Grovalder gasps. "A chase of a goblin? That can't be....was it....was it a goblin named Moop? Please.....please tell me it was not a goblin named Moop...."
A bell rings as a women enters carrying a book. "Oh my, Grovalder you have a full house today! I am stopping for a new drama, and wanted to show you this...but tend to your customers first, I will browse." She move around the edge of the shop and browses a different shelf on the opposite wall of Broadhorn and Ardeth.

Ardeth moves away from Broadhorn chuckling slightly as he realizes that he did sort of smell like mice and sawdust.
He nears the woman customer interested in the book she wanted to show diamond. Trying to take a peek at it to see if there is a title on its cover or binding. (Perception: 10)
Ardeth, the women has the title to her hip and her fingers cover the beginning of the title, but you can read "....Flora and Fauna"
Grovalder looks grimly at Benagol. "Oh Moop, the poor lad...He had come to me a few weeks ago with concern he was being watched. He didn't frequent town, he usually stuck to staying at Mr. Arrow's estate. But his paranoia was real. I must admit, I thought he was just seeing shadows...I was greatly wrong." Grovalder looks visibly shaken and turns away for a moment and starts mumbling to himself.

Ardeth, overhearing the conversation at the counter and losing interest in whatever the book was saunters over to the shopkeeper to join the conversation.
“Any reason someone would want to chase down and kill ol Moop? Maybe to get him to talk, or send a message to Mr Arrow?”
Pausing for a second Ardeth asks “What was he so paranoid about?”
Reggie, you see a man approach the other man you've been keeping watch on. They both exchange a few words, gesture to the alleyway, and both begin to walk down the alley...towards Arrows Oddities. You guess that you have 30 seconds before they reach the door.
After composing himself, Grovalder responds. "I am unfortunately not sure. All Moop told me was he believed he was being followed and that the Arrow estate was being staked out. Mr. Arrow has been gone for a few months now...come to think of it I haven't heard from the man in well over a month. This isn't unusual per se, as Mr Arrow can get deeply invested in his excursions."

Ardeth stands near the door and keeps his ear on the conversation between Reggie and the shopkeeper.
He leans over to Broadhorn and whispers “Place is a bit of a mess huh?”
As he noticed the book Broadhorn’s holding he whispers “Interested in discourse on the cons of matrimony eh...?” ribbing the big guy gently.
Benagol is totally out of place in this kind of shop, so, instead of looking around, he pays attention only to the conversation

Assassinate
20 to hit
7 Damage, with assassinate its a crit, I did not double to the dice. so 8 damge, such a bad roll.
14 to try and rehide so that I'm not seen, or if I screwed up and shot someone who is not shady I am not known as the guy killing people.
