Heilamin approaches quietly and respectfully and waits to see if the female monk who is meditating or any of the other monks approach or else signal that they are the one to whom he should address his questions. Heilamin waits for 10 or 15 seconds -- long enough that anyone would have noticed the group's presence -- and if there is no acknowledgement from those in the temple, then he approaches the altar, and sits and begins to meditate along with them.
Heilamin you sit next to the woman and mediate. After about 5 minutes she takes a few moments to return her mind to the material plane, looks to you all and greets you. "Peace admist Chaos travelers. How may I help?"
You explain that you were sent here by Roze of the Diamond House, explaining that the house was robbed. You also mention you are looking more into this legend of Hearth and these cultists/werejaguar.
"Ah, yes...Arrow Diamond...he is my father. I had not seen him in many years, but I was not surprised he sent me his journal. It contained a lot of information and secrets. To be safe....I burned the journal shortly after receiving it." Jannell says with a straight face.
Noticing your concerned/confused faces, she smiles and explains, "My father sent me this journal because I knew I would keep it safe up here at the monastery. I burned the book because I have perfect recall. I need only read a book once and I remember every detail and if it were open before me. Within my mind, my father's secrets are safe. And as a servant of the Glass Hand, not even the gods can steal my thoughts."

OOC: Heilamin - you around - will see if we can keep this moving....
Mackenzie quietly responds "We have just made the journey from your father's estate, one of his staff was murdered and we fear that your father is in danger. Cultist's were the ones that attacked the manor, could it be that they were looking for some secret, such as your fathers journal? We know you have no reason to trust us other than our word, but we are looking to help in any way we can...and finding these cultists or your father are at the centre of that....is there anything you can share?"

Heilamin you don't see a reason to distrust Jannell, especially since she seems to have information you do not have. Heilamin you show Jannell the golden Medallion that Moop the goblin gave you.
"This medallion is called the Herald's Key. This key is what is giving you this trouble with these cultist, I must assume. Not only is it a literal key to the temple of Hearth, where the treasure and tales of great evil are abound, but it can also reveal the location of the Shunned City of Hearth. We all must travel to the Obsidian Plain, to a place called The Well of Secrets. There, I will show you how to use it to find the shunned city. I insist that I go with you, as you must rely on what I read in the journal to progress further. We must hurry, these cultist seem to have similar goals to you."
"To show my allegiance, take this. My father sent me this with the journal. Being of The Glass Hand, I have no use of weapons. You all seem you could make great use of it."
Jannell hands you this elegant weapon (will determine type).

"Well, yeah. But a person can be smothered ta death with a pilla or choke on a lovely piece of cake. So it's more 'bout the person using tha tool than it is 'bout tha tool itself."
"Perfect! That weapon might come in handy on the way over. We had an unwelcome group of fish people try to board our ship on the way over. We won't say no to powerful weapons, that's for sure! We'll tell Cap'n Andy the heading and be off. Any of the other priests like to join us?" Heilamin asks.
Jannell laughs softly, "No, I don't think any other monks would join us. The only reason I am leaving the scared place of the Glass Hand is to help you with this task. According to my father's journal, it is imperative you succeed...there is more to this story than you realize."
As you turn to leave and begin to exit the temple to gather your footwear, the friendly bearded monk that initially greeted is walking towards the temple holding his abdomen. Blood pours down his robes, splattering the stone ground by his feet. With tears in his eyes, he tries to speak, but no words come—he collapses, dead. Just behind him, you see a group of cloaked and armed figures.
The leader of the mob, a woman with three scars across her face like claw-marks, hisses like an angry cat when she sees you. "Take the girl. Burn the temple. Leave no survivors." The woman says, first staring at Jannell...and then her amber eyes gaze upon the rest of you. She begins to shift and turn into the same creature you encountered at Arrows Oddities. This werejaguar is larger and more bulked out than the previous, and you can still see the three scars across the werejaguar's face. Let's roll for initiative!
There is one werejaguar and 10 cultist. All are 30 feet to the south of you in the temple grounds. You stand in the doorway leading into the temple, still bear foot.

Cursing himself for being so stupid so as not to leave a guard Mackenzie defiantly pulls out his halberd and advances to within 10ft of the Werejaguar (which I think will enable him to capture all of the opponents within a 30ft range) and draws upon his divine bond to send forth a wave of terrifying power shouting "Begone"(Channel Divinity: Conquering Presence - As an action, force chosen creatures within 30 ft. to make a WIS saving throw (DC 14) or they become frightened for 1 minute. Creatures can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns) before backing up his remaining 10ft of movement (puts him just of the steps by my reckoning) and bringing forth a glimmering force around him (Bonus Action: Shield of Faith giving +2 AC [concentration]) then sets himself to receive an attack (Reaction: Polearm Master - Opportunity of Attack on anyone entering within his reach - will wait for attack before rolling)
OOC: Figure he has to make the first round count!

The three of them must make a constitution save or be blinded (DC 15). As a bonus action, Heilamin will use Bardic Inspiration to inspire Renee, and sings out:
"Everybody was kung fu fighting! Renee your mind becomes fast as lightning. Although the future is a little bit frightening, it's for the City of Hearth that you're fighting. You're a diamond in the rough, a brilliant ball of clay. You could be a work of art if you just go all the way. Now what would it take to break? I believe that you can bend, not only do you have to fight, But you have got to win!"
