!!Lost Mine of Phandelver Campaign Thread!!

Baesra/dinosaur will claw at the door and look at someone to open it for him.

Umbriel will hold in his innards, and open the door carefully.

Umbriel you see a long room.

Baeshra will revert to his normal self and back out, realizing he might be a little disturbing, tap Whistler on the shoulder and go check that secret door in the corridor from the northern room we'd seen earlier, then head back to the crevasse.

Umbriel will enter, and speak to the prisoners in a soothing and calm voice. "Have no fear, we are here to help you. Quickly, tell me - are there any traps or guards we should know about?"

Whistler follows Baeshra, Not Goblin.

Umbriel: The older female responds: "Hello, are we safe?  Did you kill the Redbrands?  I am Mirna Dendrar, my husband, Thel, is the town woodcarver and they captured him too, but we haven't seen him.  Will you get us out of these cells?  My son, Nars, is in the other cell and this is my daughter, Nilsa."

Baeshra, Whistler: You go in the corridor and confirm it is the secret door that you went through earlier by Glasstaff's room.  The door opposite the secret door is locked.

(Did anyone find a key and/or has thieves’ tools? If not, Baeshra will help whistler break it down.)

Umbriel replies, his voice low but calm. "We have killed all the Redbrands we found, save one - he is tied up and unarmed in another chamber, in case we have need of more information. We will do what we can to get you out of these cells. Did the brigands say why they captured you?"

Turning over his shoulder, he'll whisper back to the group. "Rosie? Lyngheid? Did anyone find a set of keys? Maybe check those caskets - We need to get these folk out of here."

" Oh, those poor dears. Keys? I don't think I found any keys....though I've had a few belts around the head today so my memory may not be the best."

She wondered about the womans husband and the childrens father...there was a body in the ravine....

She came in next to Umbriel, " Don't fret, we'll get you out....no problem." She cast Light on the bars to make things easier to see.

"They came back the night after they abducted Thel, and took us from our home!  They said they were going to sell us into slavery!"

 Droop speaks up: "Bugbear had key!  Yes, you took key!  Yes!  KEY! "

" Wee Goblins right. I believe Whistler has the key."

Whistler hearing his name moves over to the dwarf, digs into his pocket and produces the key. He looks at it puzzled before attempting to put it into the keyhole, missing a few times until he inserts it on the third try and twists.

"Whistler has the key!"

The jail cell opens right up.  Mirna and Nilsa rush and hug Lyngheid "Oh thank you!  Thank you!  Please open the other cell for my son!"

While Whistler is opening cells, Umbriel will poke through the pile of rags to see if there's anything hidden there.

Rosie rushes over toward the boy. "Oh no, you poor dear! Are you okay?" 

Umbriel, the pile of rags turns out to be a heap of clothing.  Based on the amount of clothes, you figure it must be from about a dozen people or more.

Rosie , When Whistler opens up the boys cell, he rushes out exclaiming his thanks and runs to his mom.  Mirna hugs both her children in tears, then turns to the rest of you:

"Thank you, thank you!  I don't have anything to offer as a reward.  But I might know where a valuable heirloom is hidden.  When I was a young girl, my family and I fled from the town of Thundertree after undead overran the place.    My family had an herb and alchemy shop there.  Beneath a section of the storage shelves was a hidden case with an emerald necklace.  The shop was in the southeast part of town.  If you go there, please, take the necklace as my thanks!"

Baeshra, when Whistler unlocks the locked door that you are standing in front of, you see Racks of weapons lining the walls of this chamber, including spears, swords, crossbows, and bolts.  A dozen dirty red cloaks hang from hooks by the door.

Baeshra will try and collect the weapons and cloaks and pass them off to the others. He'll then head to the crevasse with someone to check out the chest, wildshaping into a giant spider to carry them down and back up with the chest.

Whistler climbs onto Baeshra, Not Goblin's back to grab the chest.

Once back up, Baeshra will revert and open the chest.
