Whistler being the ever so not trusting bird watches the area for another ambush.
Perception Check:18
You are still surprised at the lack of animal or bird noises. Your nostrils are still full of burning zombie scent, so you don't pick up any other dangerous smells. You do notice that the foliage around the whole area is growing quite well. Everything is lush and green, except for a smattering of dead bushes around the run down cottage to the south.
"No bird noises. Whistler dislike." he mimics, taking a swig from his trusty firewater skin, whilst inhaling the vapours from it to mask the smell of death.

"Quelline is good, she and her boy are doing quite well down there in Phandalin. She told us you may be able to help us locate a place called Cragmaw Castle. Ever heard of it?" Looking around, Umbriel sees Whistler on edge, and takes note. "What is it that you do up here, Reidoth?"
"Glad to hear Quelline and Carp are well. Good people."
"Cragmaw Castle. Humph. Ayup, I can give you directions."
"I'm a member of the Emerald Enclave. We preserve the natural order of things and root out troublesome threats. I'm here investigating a few things for the Enclave. You know about the twig blights and Ash Zombies, I reckon."
"Well, there's also dangerous spiders in the ruins at the base of the hill over yonder."
"And someone is hiding out on the eastern side of town. Folk in black mask and cloaks."
"As if that isn't enough, there's a dragon that moved into the old tower since the last time I was here."
"You folks should probably leave this area before you get yourselves killed."
Ireniana turns to everyone. "We certainly can't take all of these threats, but I'm all for taking out the folks in black masks and cloaks, assuming their cultists."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
" Some miscreants and spiders seem more our speed..."
" Master Reidoth, you live alone out here do you? Such a fine figure of an older man, that magnificient a beards quite sought after in some circles......no Mrs Reidoth on the cards?"

"I do. Not all the time though."
"I mean, I don't live out here all the time, I get around."
Umbriel looks over at Lyngheid, the very barest hint of an amused look on his face. Turning back to Reidoth, when the conversation allows, he'll go on."Yes, Cragmaw Castle is where we fear a group of miscreants are holding a prisoner, one that has been missing for about a week, so we don't want to delay too long. If the Emerald Enclave is interested in preserving the integrity of this town against certain threats, in exchange for your help locating the Castle we would be happy to deal with these cultists and spiders for you. Coincidentally, have you ever heard mention of anyone named the 'Black Spider'? Maybe a local gang leader or trumped up thug?"
Umbriel looks around the remains of the town. "If Cragmaw is some distance, we may want to rest here tonight - perhaps scout out these other locations (giving the dragon's tower wide berth, of course). Is there a building that's reasonably intact and free of ash zombies and ambulatory bushes?"

"Not just the town. The Emerald Enclave protects all of civilization, and protects nature against said civilization."
Reidoth pauses and thinks for a moment.
"Haven't heard of the Black Spider, no. Just giant ones. I'll give you directions to Cragmaw Castle, as I mentioned. I can handle the Giant Spiders and cultists on my own."
He thinks some more. "Since you are intent on staying here the night, what I really need help with is to drive this confounded dragon off. We don't need any of it's types around here."
"As I said. I'll provide the directions to Cragmaw Castle to you regardless. But if you could drive the dragon off, the Emerald Conclave would be in your debt."
"Far as places to sleep around here. The only one left with a roof besides mine here. Which is too small for you, by the way. The only one left is the building the cultists are holed up in."
Lyngheid, hoping against hope, queried, " Uh....when you say dragon....I don't suppose that no one got a good look at it? Is there a chance its something like a wyvern....or a pseudodragon.....a drake?"
Baeshra will watch the others talking back and forth, "I don't think we have a great chance of killing a dragon, but perhaps we could persuade it to leave? After we clear out the cultists and spiders?"
Umbriel stops and thinks on what Baeshra said. "Reidoth, by any chance are the cultists here worshiping the dragon? If so, then if we clear out the cultists, it provides us three things: a place to sleep tonight out of the elements, information about the dragon, and leverage in the instance we need to convince it that no one wants it nearby."

"It's a young dragon. A green dragon, if anyone knows about those?"
OOC: Those who want to can make an Arcana or Nature check to recall any information they might have on Green dragons.
DC10:
You've heard a little about green dragons. They love the forest, and sometimes will compete with black dragons and white dragons for territory. Most green dragons are evil.
DC15:
The spoiler above, plus you know that a young dragon won't be fully grown yet, which means it won't be as hardy, and possibly won't hit as hard. A green dragon is recognized by the crest that begins near its eyes and continues down its spine, reaching full height just behind the skull.

"Odd. Plants."
