Umbriel drops his concentration on the Darkness and runs toward the door. As he runs, he says to the group "One left, trying to get away!" and assuming he can see him, he'll use a bonus action to cast Hex (with disadvantage on Strength checks) and he'll follow that up with two Eldritch Blasts.
" So... how many slaves? And how many Yakfolk left?", Lyngheid asked the elves, looking around for a drape or spare clothing for them.
Lyngheid, towards the southern wall where the table of food is there are also cushions and blankets. Under the pile of cushions and blankets you find four wooden chests.
The nude elves drop their makeshift pottery weapons and start wiping their hands on the carpets and take the offered blankets to drape around themselves.
The female moon elf introduces herself. "Hi. Thank you for defeating these evil beasts. I am Halani, that is Jevin and Vandar. There are many slaves, all the non Yakfolk are slaves."
"There are even more slaves in the mines below. The giant water wheel over in the creek turns a millstone and lowers an elevator that leads down to the fire giant forge. There are slaves working in the mines and the forge."
"I am glad that we found you and thank you for your brave assistance. "
"I am too. I've wanted to end that vile creature for a long time now. Kartha-Kaya and all the Yakfolk are evil creatures! I've seen them bring slaves in here and perform a ritual that lets them possess the slaves by crawling under their skin."
She shivers.
"Most recently they did this to a group of several dwarves from Citadel Adbar. They possesed these dwarves bodies and sent hem back to Citadel Adbar to kill the king."
Halani takes the cloak swings it over her shoulders as she walks over to Kartha-Kaya's body. She picks up his greatsword and takes a few practice swings. "Too unwieldy for me. Here!"and she tosses it to Whistler.
You can see the large double entry doors in the village wall are open and you catch the reflection of the Yakfolk Warrior running down the top of the stairs leading to the valley floor below.
You also notice the fenced in area with the barn across the way from the Chief's hut. What you thought were animal cages you can see now are oddly human sized, and you see two human bodies slumped on the ground inside the fenced in area.
Baeshra sends his elemental off to chase the yakfolk and turns to Lyngheid, "Isn't that one of your people's places? Can you send a message to the king?"
Umbriel tells the group what he sees, and then heads over to see about the figures in the cages - if it'll do any good, he'll cast Spare the Dying on anyone who needs it.
Baeshra's Flame elemental eventually catches up and finishes off the Yakfolk Warrior as he flees down the stairs of 12,000 steps.
Umbriel casts Spare the Dying on both humans, and then notices the bodies of all 4 halflings that were in the fields. They are all now lying on the ground, motionless.
Nyx shivers,"Foul magics... it can be so useful and yet so many being turn the weave to evil means. We should see what we can do here by saving those we can, send a message to Citadel Adbar if possible and then raid this nest of fire giants before they realise we are here."

Halani nods. "Yes, evil can corrupt even the best of things. We will help you check the rest of the village, but I fear the other slaves are all dead. The Yakfolk usually kill them when the gong rings. Once we check on them, will you escort us back to our tribe in the Moonwood? It's a couple of days from here, but I don't feel safe with just the three of us."
If we burn down this village and then take them home with our airship, it will surely be noticed. While it will alert them, maybe they will send some of there number out to try and find who did it. I image it would anger the Duke having his authority challenged... especially at this time.
When we return, they could be less in number, but also more prepared."
Nyx thinks for a second, "Do we have any parts of the Dragon left over? Maybe we could are it look like a Dragon attack?"
Lyngheid swung at the Yakfolk warrior.
Action: Lighbringer- Attack: 22 Damage: 7

The party is up!

" Let him go....he's the only one thats shown an ounce of brainpower since we arrived. And that includes us."
Umbriel lands one of his Eldritch Blasts and Hex's the creature.
If you let him go, we're out if initiative.

Umbriel lets the warrior go, but will take up a defensive position at the door of the hut, keeping an eye out for reinforcements or new threats.
Nyx gives Halani her cloak.

Lyngheid heads out following Umbriels voice though she's tapped out of prayers and blessings she'll do her best to help.
" I can't send anything at the moment. ", she calls over her shoulder to Baeshra.

You also notice that the village is strangely quiet. Except for the occasional bleating of a goat and clucking of a chicken.

"I agree Baeshra, we can't just abandon them.
