Round 2!
Ireniana lands a critical hit, and you can see Iymrith actually notices this hit!
Umbriel lands two Eldritch Blasts!
Uthor shouts out "Iymrith! Stop!" and then tries to stab her with his Trident: 34, 31, damage: 22, 22
Iymrith curses again in Draconic, then stands up straight, utters some draconic sounding words and vanishes in a flash of light.
You are all familiar with teleportation magic since taking the teleportation circles throughout the land a few times, and you recognize this as a teleport spell.
Princess Serissa stands there for a moment: "Where did she go?" before Uthor answers "She teleported out of here. To where, I don't know. A damn dragon! Right in our midst!"
We're out of initiative for the moment. How do you respond?
"Princess Serissa, are you hurt? Our apologies for the upset, but when the Oracle of the All-Father told us to root out the evil in this court, I don't believe any of us suspected it would be one of our old enemies. Tell me, is your mother's body, rest her soul, nearby? I have certain abilities granted me by the Raven Queen, and if you have five questions for her, we can see if Iymrith acted alone or if she had conspirators," Umbriel offers.
Princess Serissa shakes her head as if to clear it, then sits back down on her throne. Uthor remains standing.
Uthor nods grudgingly. "Thanks for your help, it seems you all have some surprises when put into a fight."
Serissa agrees: "indeed. Iymrith, she was like a surrogate mother to us. We will have to think back, Uthor, and figure out how we let this happen and what we can do to see ot doesn't happen again."
She turns to the group, responding to Umbriel: "powerful magic, that is, yes. I can think of a few questions for her, although it might be too painful for me to ask her directly. "
"And, the All Father told you to root out the evil here, aye? Tell me more about what he said and how you came to have a discourse with Annam."
Assuming you relay everything you did before iyrmith was revealed:
"Yes, there has been evil afoot here. And not just dragons. My mother slain, and my father kidnapped..."
Serissa continues, "tell me about this ability of yours. Can I ask her anything? Is it really my mama that you are talking g to? How long does it last?"
Baeshra resumes his lizardfolk form and looks thoughtful for a moment before turnign to the princess, "Do you happen to have something that belonged to your father? The more personal the better, such as hair or perhaps a drop of blood? If you do, then tomorrow I may be able to try and search for him magically. Unless you've already done so and he's shielded somehow?"
"Princess," Umbriel begins gently. "First, please understand as a Shadar-Kai, the sanctity of those in the Raven Queen's embrace is of the utmost importance. My powers enable me to bring the animating spirit of the deceased back long enough to ask five simple questions. The answers are only what it knew in life, and this is, to be perfectly clear, not the return of your mother's soul - this is simply a means to learn what your mother knew in life. Her spirit is not required to answer me truthfully, especially since she does not know me, and if I cast an illusion to make myself look like you, she may see through the glamour and be distrustful of the questions. You do not need to be present, but if there is something specific you'd like to know, and can write it down for me, I can try to ascertain the answer."

Serissa responds, "We have tried to scry...wait a minute! Iynrith said she tried to scry on my father to find his whereabouts, but was unable to. She was probably lying! Yes, if you have that ability, I think it would be well worth the attempt, and I would be very appreciative. "

She nods gravely. "I appreciate the care and respect that you approach this endeavor with. Will you Give me the night to yhink upon the right questions? We have guest quarters for small folk that you can stay in with plenty of refreshments and food."
Baeshra nods, "I cannot actually cast the scrying spell until tomorrow anyway. I will also need a focus for the spell, I have not used it before, just remembered. A focus worth at least 1,000 gp, such as a crystal ball, a silver mirror, or a font filled with holy water, something of that sort."
"Of course, Princess. Take all the time you need. We thank you for the hospitality and generosity of your court." Umbriel steps back and waits with the group.
"We must stay vigilant. If Imyrith was with you for so long we have no idea what she has stowed away here or for that matter, how easily she can sneak back in. Also, and I hate to mention it, if she was working alone or with others..."

When alone Lyngheid will confirm with Umbriel that his ritual will have no ill effects on any later attempts to raise the queen from the dead....she's still fairly new to the restoring life part of her job.

Uthor suddenly claps his hands. "Yes! You, pretty little one, are right!" He turns to the Princess: "I suggest we double the guards in the Portal Chamber, and it is probably time that you grant an audience to the waiting giant lords."
Princess Serissa purses her lips, then nods. "Good thinking yes." She calls for a guard "Zendere!" And a young storm giant enters the room. "Escort this group to the small folk guest quarters, and see that they are provided with whatever they need. Baeshra, here, will need a fancy focus of some sort."
She turns to the group. "Thank you all for your help so far, it seems my mother's and my faith in the small folk has not been misplaced. Join me for breakfast in the morning and we'll lay our plans for the various spells, won't you?"
Lyngheid swung around to regard Uthor and stepped slightly in front of Nyx then caught herself and awkwardly resumed her previous position....damn giant was just using his eyes you daft bint...
Lyngheid thanked both Uthor and the Princess and then moved to follow Zendere.
Once in the quarters, Umbriel assures Lyngheid that there is no ill effect from casting Speak with Dead - but once cast, the same body can't answer questions for a ten-day. Resurrection is unaffected.
The night passes without issue, everyone completes a long rest.
Breakfast in the morning, is a whole host of sea plants, sea food chowder and kelp juice. Princess Serissa seems tired, but anxious to get on with the days events.
"I have a list of questions for you to ask my mother, Umbriel. I won't accompany you, but Uthor will." The Princess hands you a slip of paper.
She turns to Baeshra: "And we have a focus that should work fine for your spell. This is my personal mirror, a gift from my mother, so I would appreciate it back when you are done." She hands you a giant's hand mirror, which is quite large, but it is framed in silver and embedded with diamonds.
Once breakfast has concluded she asks "What should we try first? Speaking with my murdered mother, or locating my kidnapped father?"
Baeshra nods his thanks to the princess, "I only need it to cast the spell for you, do you have anything belonging to your father that I can use to help guide the spell? I've never met him so every little bit helps. As for which first, the questions might help us understand what we see when we scry, but the scrying might give us better questions to ask."

Baeshra and his dragon move a little away from the throne, but remain on high alert in case she comes back.
Ireniana steps away from the throne and scans the area incase Iymrith comes back.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Lyngheid winces as Umbriel speaks, knowing it is necessary but worried about the princesses current state of mind...
" Well, that was bracing..."
" Everyone alright? Princess? Uthor?"
Princess Serissa shakes her head as if to clear it, then sits back down on her throne. Uthor remains standing.
Uthor nods grudgingly. "Thanks for your help, it seems you all have some surprises when put into a fight."

Lyngheid looked to the others approving of the Princesses intelligent questions.
" Perhaps we can locate your father? Where was he last seen?"
