Baeshra attempts to hide and watch over the rest of the group while Lyngheid and Nyx make way on the side of the road. Droop also attempts to hide: 15.
The first thing you see are a pair of mounted warriors turning the corner. Close behind them comes a cargo wagon, with the cargo covered by tarps. Another pair of mounted warriors follows on the side.
Three more wagons, all covered come after the first, each with a pair of mounted warriors on the side, and a final pair taking up the rear. The 3rd wagon has a robed rider.
The lead guard spots the party and shouts "Make way and stand aside! Coming through, no stopping! Make way!" He spots Baeshra: "You there, lizard man, stay where you are, no funny business!"
The caravan shows no signs of stopping, does anyone do anything as they attempt to go by?
Nyx steps to one side, "No funny business here, just heroes of the north heading to our next port of call. We mean not harm..."
OCC: Can Nyx make out any insignia or iconography what would give them some clue as to who they are?
Perception 23
Yes, you see all the people are wearing a curious looking patch with a falcon and a mouse. The wagons have a different insignia, a shield wrapped in vines.
Anyone can make a history check to see what they know about these.
Nyx, with that perception roll, you also clock a lanky figure about 30 feet behind Baeshra with the same insignia. He's holding a bow with an arrow nocked, but not drawn, and it is pointing at the ground. He seems to be some sort of scout.
"I assume you are also warry of giants? No need to fear then as we are clearly not such creatures, in fact we have slain many. Hill giants, fire giants, frost giants, such as those that raided the city we have just come from. So you may as well tell your scout to top skulking behind my friend Baeshra, and Baeshra will also come out of the woods to prove we are honourable. "
You recognize the crest on the wagons as the emblem of The Shielded Gauge, a manufacturer of high quality, often times magic, armor.
You also recognize the insignia on the guards and escorts. It's a group called the Copper Talons, they are a private group that hires themselves out for high risk and high reward jobs.

The lead guard nods, but doesn't stop riding. "Well done then. Keep up the good work." He raises his voice a little in the direction of the scout, "Alright, Jareth, onward."
The wagon caravan continues on down the road. The trailing guards turning occasionally to look back at you until they are out of sight around another bend.
Lyngheid is momentarily distracted by somewhat consuming thoughts of Nyxs tingling skin then comes to with a start, " I don't think so. Its all still on her."
The rest of the day's journey goes without a hitch. And then, in the late afternoon, the High Road starts to dip down back towards the sea. You smell it before you see the City of Sails, but eventually you see in the distance, rising out of the fog a large tower branching into thinner spires at the top. If you didn't know better you might think this was a giant, leafless tree, but you can tell it's not made by nature.
To the west of the tower, a thick black cloud of smoke billows up out of the harbor.
Umbriel nods, his brow creasing. "In some cultures, the deceased are buried with their earthly goods, either in the hope of resurrection or in the belief that the owner makes use of them in the next life. Whatever Ireniana's belief, I don't know that I would have felt it appropriate to assume anything about her belongings. Those are my thoughts, at least."
Baeshra shrugs, "We have a different view on the dead. Once dead, they have no use for anything anymore. Goods and flesh go to the tribe. I have learned that the rest of you feel different though, I try to follow along until I'm back home."
"Do we go straight into the city? Or would the airship be outside it somewhere?"
You find the gates to the city are open, with a handful of guards around them letting people through. Most of the guards are looking down towards the wharf, where the thick black cloud of smoke is rising.
You over hear something about a flaming giant longship.

Umbriel stands by, out of the way, quietly noting the robed rider, but otherwise deferential.

The scout watches Baeshra step up to the road and then slips back into the trees and starts walking ahead. Stealth: 14

" Could have bought some armour from them....but I doubt they would have wanted to stop on the road no matter the price offered.", Lyngheid mused.
" Onward?"
"Onward my friend, the day is still young and we have a great distance to cover yet."
Nyx points up the road and starts out again.
"Ohh I would have love to see what they had on them... magic makes my skin tingle. You know we didn't keep any of Irenianas' effects did we?"

Walking and talking?
No one is able to see any signs of the airship above or around the city.
Walk and Talk.
( Have any of us been to Luskan before?)
Not that I know of.
