"Nooooo, I don't think so." He looks back at the elf girl, but she just shrugs in response. "If people had gone missing I think the fog would have been investigated by now."

At the mention of staying on the boat, Verrynia stops staring out to sea and turns back to the group. "Will this boat have cargo tonight? I don't expect we will find thieves otherwise." Then looking at Krumdak, she asks, "You said the ship was broken? The figurehead?"

"Yes. It looks like parts of it, the head and the arms, have been sawed or torn off."

Verrynia addresses the elf girl, "Did you know about this damage?"

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that! Yeah, the figurehead got destroyed the first time the fog came around the ship. A shame too, carved it myself in my youth..." The man looks toward the bow of the ship. "Used to be a beautifully carved nymph. Now its just.. eh.." He sighs a sad sigh. 

Let me guess: made out of ivory?

"Just the eyes and finger nails.. the rest was is.. was wood.." He tilts his head. "Never thought about that before."

After a few minutes of looking Khurah finally finds Slim. Little did she know that he was kind of a big shot, proprietor of the Weaslery, and salesman of finer goods. After delivering the message for the elf girl you she had a brief conversation with the energetic, eccentric and rotund gentleman. He claimed the whole fog ordeal was bad for his business and made Khurah an offer of 100 gold for getting rid of the fog, the coins would be paid after the job. 

However, Khurah proved to be quite the businesswoman herself and after a brief battle of bidding she convinced Slim of paying her 55 droplets and the remainder would be paid upon completing the task. There was a catch to the deal, though. For each additional day the party uses, not completing the assigned quest two droplets will be deducted from the pay. With both Khruah and Slim agreeing to the terms of the deal the druid heads out into the streets of New Oyjan. Back towards the party who are currently in a conversation of their own.. 

Verrynia looks to Xarprax. "So I assume you've solved the mystery by now. Enlighten us."

Xarprax looks startled, but quickly recovers and even winks at the tiefling. "Now, if I just told you everything, what would be the fun in that? What we have to do is lay a trap, and then you'll see what the mystery is." He looks around at the others, rubbing his scaly palms together. "Whose got a treasure to use as bait?"

(The eyes of the party just go to the man in the magic armor)

"I reckon we could use the magic armor..." Krumdak suggests looking at Gunnar. "If that's fine by you?" "And then we could all be close by, ready to step in".

Watchman Ryefield and the elf stands by listening to your conversation. "I don't know if that big of a bait is necessary. Just a pile of fish will do, considering that they've stolen mostly fish and whale teeth." 

"Whale teeth," Xarprax says a little dreamily. "I've never wrestled a whale before ... I don't think."

INT test: 8 — Then that's all he says about that

 “Touch this armor and I will use your hands as bait for this fog.”

"We simply need to get our hands on a few fish, then. Ryefield, are there any left in the hold that we can move above deck?"

"Or we could go fishing!" Xarprax says excitedly.

"It was only a suggestion...", Krumdak says looking at Gunnar.

Any ivory should work as well.

 Gunnar sighs, “One that we will move on from swiftly. However, I am not opposed to being the bait itself. If needed, I will wait for the fog to attempt to consume me. I can then exorcise it.”
