Beowulf replies to Walben after hearing Fletcher recite the other task at hand. Looks like we can do a lot of things here. We should get everyone since it sounds we could be busy.
Looking around the bar seeing who has arrived.
I think we are only missing the girl. The strange one fiddling with things all the time.
He then starts to walk out of the bar then turns back to the others.
A pack should stick together, its safer that way. Has anyone seen her?
Gino walks back with a new face. And meets the captain on the deck.
"Sorry sir but it seems the mage that we were supposed to meet here never showed. He sent this fellow in his stead probably hoping to curb your hirk." he turns to the gnome and smiles sheepishly. "Nothing against you my friend but we had an arrangement and it seems the man who sent you didn't fulfill his end of the bargain."
The captain holds up his hand to placate both the Halfling and the gnome.
"Tell me what you can do. We are always looking for more people. Our crew is light."
Ooc: time to make a description and start playing. A mage Fendrel, asked you to take a job in his stead. He did say it would be well paid but would take about a year of service on the Crimson Blade. He was rather vague on the details. Now you know why.
Ambre finally wanders up to the deck, bored. Seeing the new person, she approaches. She salutes the captain, and explains, "I had a hard time figuring out the magical part of this ship," she admits, a little embarrassed, "it's all a little foreign, I'm not sure how much Cannith was involved in the building of this ship, but I managed to screw down the lose bolts and stuff. I'm thinking if I walk away from it for a little bit I might have a better grasp of it Sir."
Back at the bar Marcus had just finished speaking to eldritch and getting the information about his missing man. Once fletcher had informed the others, and the likely informed them of the details of the other job, Marcus had decided to take a seat and relax. Upon hearing Beowulf inquire about Ambre, Marcus waved off the concern saying Ah the Cannith girl? Believe she is on the ship. Someone should go get her, bring her up to speed. Someone else anyway, I'd rather review these notes our dear fletcher took and commit them to memory. Once we are all together, we can decide on a course of action.
Thom stands as straight as humanly possible, and with an exceedingly seirus voice says “I shall run back to the ship and get her as fast as I can, then meet you outside of this establishment.”
The captain looks at Ambre and nods. " Thanks for taking care of this. ... Would you mind waiting for a second and hear what this gentleman has to say. " He mentions to a gnome waiting next to Gino. "I would like to have your input on something. "
The three foot tall red headed male gnome dressed in studded. leather shield and a strange short spear like weapon
set in the usual points you would mount gear to travel. You can tell he is young due to the scraggly beard that are no more than wisps of hair he looks up from studying a book a mouse looks on like its reading the pages
"The name is Fizzelbit I'm a mage of sorts kinda like the young woman over there."
He takes a pebble from his pocket mutters a few words and an illusion of bluebells flower out of it and he hands it to the human woman if she accepts.
Ambre takes the pebble flowers, and smiles a forced smile. "Ambre d'Cannith,"she says between clenched teeth, "and I would argue the magic of artificers is significantly distinct from the magic of a traditional mage."
"Yes Mi Lady d'Cannith, You are right those flowers you hold will last till I die or break the magic if it were a normal illusion of my people only a minute or two.
I do love to tinker and infuse normal things with magic"
Looking on he wonders what he did to offend again? Thoughts of staying to long in the workshop to socialize come to mind
"Please forgive if my greeting was too coarse for a fellow Artificer I don't get out much."
"Something that has torn my House into factions, but might be the only way to bind it back together,"Ambre says, "working it though, I've never felt more alive. It's like... taking a brand new just made lightning rail out for it's first run, you're never quite sure if it's going to work until it does," she gives a little smile, and her dragonmark, which starts on her hand and trails up her wrist, much larger than any other mark she's ever seen on any other heir, seems to glow briefly. "I wouldn't trade it for anything else."
She turns to the Captain and Gino, "Terribly sorry there Sir. What did you need of me again?"
Fizzelbit sees the dragon mark his background gets the better of him (Simic Scientist) and takes out his tinkers tool selecting his magnifying glass he moves closer to study the dragon mark
Ooc: you ll have to decide where you are going next. But you can also stay.

“I never saw her get off the ship.” Walben provides, helpfully

Ambre, you might be on the deck. Or if anyone has come looking for her you might arrive at that time.

The captain and Gino look at each other.
"Well, that went rather better than I thought." one says to the other nonchalantly.
