Fletcher

As one of the men come through Fletcher, his eyes glint in a small portion, and the warhammer comes down into an opponent's limb. 

Attack of Opportunity: roll to hit value— 18   damage roll: 8

Fletcher's weapon slams into the man' back shedding blood and sending him tumbling forward. He turns anger in his eyes.

Take your turns 

As one of the men stays at to attack Beowulf he quickly blocks the blow with one of his swords. Releasing a another growl to intimidate his opponent before using his other sword to stab at the man followed by a diagonal strike from the other blade. 

(using Walbens bless in attacks)

Stab Attack: 14 Damage: 9  (+4 to hit from bless)

(BA) Diagonal Attack: 17 Damage: 8  (+4 to hit from bless)

If Beowulf takes him down he would follow the remaining two hooded men. 

Marcus will take aim at one of the men going after the dwarf (ideally whichever one Beo didn't attack) and loose an arrow his direction.

Attack: 16 Damage: 8 (bless + 2 to hit. If applicable 2 dam from sneak attack)

(Right. In that case aiming at the one Fletcher attacked.)

(ooc two ran past me and one of those was hit a little by Fletcher, so you should be able to hit either of those)

The combined action of Marcus and Beowulf bring down the two hooded figures leaving one to spring at the still lying dwarf. 

( Waiting on Ambre since she has the highest Init. ) 

Ambre takes aim and shoots one of the men approaching the dwarf.

Crossbow Attack: 18 Damage: 5

Ambre shot hits the man in the shoulder, spinning him around but not stopping him.

At  last, the hooded figure manages to get close to the dwarf only to be flung back by the force of three magical missiles slamming into him. A goblin girl in dark yellow almost green colored skin moves in. She is young but is flanked by two huge bugbears with heavy maces. They nod at you all and move in to protect their charge. 

The goblin speaks to the closest to her in a clear but irritating pitch, " You have been marked by the House. You must go and tell your employer. We will hide in the depth of the city. Thank you for saving him. Now go. Run." 

Just out of the corner you see the driver of your coach making grand gesture o you all.

Walben doesn’t think twice, and runs for the coach

As does Marcus

Beowulf sees the others leave and follows his pack to the coach, jumping on board. 

Calming down after the fight he grunts as his skin shifts back to his human form. He sits down holding on to the chair as it takes its toll to shift back. After a short moment he sighs looking around in the coach.. Not this again

"What House has marked us for death?" Ambre asks, very confused.

The driver looks at you has you jump in the coach and doesn't wait for you to settle in really. 

The boat-like cart speeds up and gains altitude fast. In the plaza as you see it receding a patrol of guard enters. They are wearing the emblem of Sharn but you only catch a glimpse of it. The color of their cloaks, a washed blue flied with a sparkling silver sword in the middle.

Amber's word are on everyone's mind. The ride passes rather quickly and you are all surprised when you see the Crimson Blade looming a feet hundred feet away.

Gino waves at you cheerfully but looses his usual grin when he sees your faces. 

Without a word he helps you disembark and takes you hurriedly to the captain's quarters.

Though the night is fairly advanced the light of Sharn bath the deck of the ship in a soft glow. Out of the corner of the eye you can see the minautor move toward your driver. 

Inside, the captain stands when you enter. "Do you have it?" are the first word that leave his mouth. 

"One of the Houses just marked us for death," Ambre says in way of an answer. "I'd like to know which one."

The captain looks at you strangely and shakes his head.

"That was rather quicker than I had anticipated but it was bound to happen."

He gives a quick "OK" to Gino who leaves immediately.

"It is not a House, but a faction of people from Houses. They are a group of men and women who are determined to see that the war rekindles. They made a fortune selling to the highest bidder. The one I know about is Baron Krim Cannith. We have been at odds for a long time. But things have escalated in the last year. He even tried to have me killed. "

He looks at Ambre and then at te rest of you." Sorry it started like that but we have an idea now of where we need to go. He shows the envelope."

You all feel the deck shudder and a distinct smell of ozone in the air. The soft glow coming from outside as turn blue and you can here feet hitting the deck as sailor start to move to their stations.

"I ll check what you brought me and we will talk about it in the morning. For now go to the kitchen and grab something to eat. Then go rest you have earned it. I ll tell Gino to give you your reward."

Ooc: you may ask questions to the captain or go and rest. Long rest for all. The ship is leaving Sharn and it is a spectacle in itself. 

(Would Ambre know anything about Baron Krim?)

Marcus has to take a moment to process everything that just happened. Once the ship starts moving he realizes this whole thing may be a bit messier than anticipated but he will just have to roll with the punches. Marcus walks over to Ambre to ask So Krim d'Cannith, one of your own? Don't suppose you know anything about what the hells just went on down there or why your own house would be involved. Marcus pauses for a moment realizing he may sound a bit like he is making accusations, and quickly attempts to correct himself. Not that I think you're involved mind you. You clearly didn't expect that. Just curious if you know this Baron is all.

Ambre looks at Marcus, and starts to say something but pauses, before rephrasing what she wanted to say, "House Cannith built everything used to fight in the war. After our leadership... broke apart... things got more complicated. Things can sometimes go unnoticed. It doesn't surprise me that some people want to go back to the time before the House started a succession war."
