Since entering the busy town of Orlane, Yed will have resumed his habit of trying to remain out of the center of attention as best as possible. He will ride along with the caravan as they head towards the Lionshield Coster, his head down the entire time as he whispers to himself the lyrics of an old song about finding gold and achieving untold riches. Entering the building, Yed will follow at the back of the party and definitely avoids eye contact with the young woman who’d appeared to address him and Shamash. Seeing in the children playing in the street almost has Yed distracted as he seems stuck in memory. Is in almost autopilot as he follows the party, staying silent when entering the building. The entire time they stand and converse Yed will be standing head down and eyes to the floor, posture hunched over as to make himself seem smaller.
Linene answers Big Bear's question. "We're a merchant company based in the city of Yartar, off to the East. We ship finished goods across hundreds of miles, and some of them end up here in Orlane and other small settlements throughout the region."

"Pardon Linene," Doc says politely, "But would you or someone within Orlane be willing to purchase this statuette we found within the goblin's hideout? Its craftsmanship is quite nice and I anticipate it would be worth something in Neverwinter proper."

Linene inspects the statuette. "Not the kind of thing that people in this town usually buy, but I'm sure some wealthy noble in Neverwinter or Waterdeep would appreciate it. Shall we say... 40 gold?"

Having delivered the Lionshield shipment, the group goes to Barthen's Provisions to complete their contract.
On the way Sildar says "I'll get that money I promised you tomorrow. And I'll have to talk to the Townmaster about Albrek tomorrow anyways, so you're welcome to join in that meeting."
Barthen’s is the biggest trading post in Orlane. Its shelves stock most ordinary goods and supplies, including backpacks, bedrolls, rope, and rations. The proprietor, Elmar Barthen, is a lean and balding human male shopkeeper of fifty years with a kindly manner. He greets you when you come in. "Hello! You must be the fine chaps delivering Gundren's wagon." He takes out a small wooden box and carefully lays out five stacks of ten coins, one for each of you. Calling out behind him, he shouts "Ander! Thistle! Cart to unload!" Two clerks emerge from the back room and drive the wagon around to the back of the store, where they start unloading it. "Thanks very much for your help. By the way, do you know where Gundren is? I expected him a few days before you arrived, but haven't seen any sign of him yet. Maybe he went straight to his brothers' campsite."

"Actually, it appears Gundren has been kidnapped by some goblinkin. We're searching for him, but the only names we have to go on are 'Cragmaw Castle' and 'Black Spider'. We are hoping to find out more here..." Doc says, gesturing to the numerous wounds many of the party currently sport.
Elamr frowns. "That is worrying indeed. I sure hope Tharden and Nundro are ok! I've been expecting them to come in for a resupply in the last couple days, but they haven't shown up. Maybe they're just late, or maybe it's something more sinister... At any rate, this is very worrying. I already have more than enough to worry about what with those Redbrands shaking everyone down and ignoring the Townsmaster." He looks up at the party. "Of course, you're new in town, and you have your own problems. Just stay away from the Sleeping Giant, and you should be fine."

Shamash was really nervouse about getting his job done properly, but now that the supplies have been delivered to Phandalin, he is happy. Happy to have done something right. He is even more glad to have been able to help the Lionshield people as well. Something just sits well with him whenever a job is done right, and people are helped.
He turns to Yed and Big Bear and whispers, "I don't like the sound of that Sleeping Giant, but all the decent people say we should avoid it, that is probably where we can find out more about the golbin fortress we are looking for."
However, Something has been bothering Shamash for a while, once Doc seems done with Elmar, Shamash speaks up, "How much for 5 torches? and 5 days rations?"
Elmar collects the torches and rations for Shamash. "That'll be 2 gold, 5 silver and 5 copper." He's willing to give you change if you need it.

“This Sleeping Giant inn sounds like a perfect next stop.”
Big Bear turns back to the merchant.
“Is the cart and oxen your property? Would it be possible for us to get some kind of deal to purchase them from you? We intend to track down Gundren and his relatives from whatever may have happened to them, and the transportation would be very helpful.”

"The cart and oxen are indeed mine. If you want to buy them, it would be 50 gold. Since Gundren trusted you, I'd be willing to let you pay 25 now and the other 25 later, if that's easier. And I'd stable the beasts here when you're not using them, for just one silver per day. Otherwise, you can rent the cart for 5 gold a day." Elmar is pleased, this seems like a good day for business.

Yed remains silent as the party negotiates and receives the pay they’d earned. Thoughts swirled through his head as he worried for Gundren, he’d been kind to Yed before and he hopes that this group will be able to help save him, if they’re even willing to. Hearing Shamash address him and Big Bear he jumps slightly in surprise, but replies very quietly “I’ll do whatever we have to to save Gundren, the Sleeping Giant sounds like a fine next step to me”. He then resumes his staring contest with the ground, his left hand unconsciously fiddling with his bright blue feather earring and his right touching a healed wound from the Goblin ambush. Yed will wait silently until the party is ready to leave Barthen’s.
Well, gang. We've survived some particularly nasty goblins, I think we deserve some peaceful rest, a few mugs of lager, and a warm meal. What do you all say to the not-so-dangerous inn for tonight? We can continue our investigations tomorrow,
