"Let's see if we can scrape that into some sort of container..." Lia suggests to the group. She sighs at the work involved. "Best take what we can back so the kings can see it, at the very least..."
Xarrothquietly exhales tension that he felt as he watched nearby, arms crossed. As he exhales, he notices its a noticeable black smoke... A tell-tale sign he was often that he was worrying.
Lothlién gets back up, restored after drinking the healing potion. You begin to notice that the mimic remains are emiting a foul stench, which is starting to overpower the alcohol smell from the spilled wine.
"At least tell some of them they need to come and clean it up." Lia agrees, holding out the cloth she has some of the goo in already. "Let's get to the kings first though, I don't want to hold this any longer than is truly needed."
Lothlién coughs while getting bak on his feet. "Another close one... I'm lucky to have reliable folk like you guys around".
After he puts his mind back in place, he replies to Lia "Yeah, let's get to the kings, We may tell what happened to people on our way, but I don't see reason to take a deroute"
You walk back the same way you came, leaving the unexplored hallway going south unexplored. The rotating crossbow contraption is partly disassembled and you can see the mad gnome half buried inside it, tightening bolts. She is so focused on her task that doesn't react at your passing. Aiming for the kings, you take skip the dining hall and kitchen area, going directly outside instead, crossing the river to the western side of the mountain and climbing back up through the sleeping chambers.
From there you walk into the inventors' workshop, where Fibblestib and Gnerkli are still working on their respective projects to cure king Korboz from his madness. It's up to you if you want to stop to speak with the inventors or keep going directly to the kings' bedroom.
Gnerkli and Fibblestib see you pass through the workshop. Gnerkli makes a motion to talk to you, but after hearing Rokh goes back to his work.
You keep walking and reach the main door leading to the kings' bedroom. After knocking on it and identifying yourselves to king Korboz, the king asks for proof of the monster's demise. You explain where it was found and how you fight it. King Korboz replies "talking is easy, do you have any proof that the monster is really dead?" hearing that you have the monster remains he opens the door a bit and looks at the group.
OOC: to convince the king you'll need a good explanation and a Charisma (Persuasion) check.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Your highness, Lothlien discovered the shapeshifter as we examined throughout Gnomengarde in the Wine room. It had changed its shape to that of a Wine barrel. As we poked and searched, Loth's bolt became stuck. At this time is when it attacked us. He fell unconscious in the battle with the beast, however we did manage to slay it. We also have its remnants, as it turned into a purple goo, similar to that in your throne room" Rhok tells the King

OOC: we're out of initiative order, but Lothlién is still unconscious and may need to roll death saves if no one stabilizes him.
Lia moves to their fallen companions and tries to stabalize him... medicine: 1
"I am not good at this..." Lia says as she works.
Rhok rushes over to also try to stabilize, and also shouts "give him the healing potion!"

Not sure who has the healing potion. If Lia does she will give it to him.
Rhok pours the potion of healing into Lothlièn's mouth
OOC: I don't think we had it identified for strength, what dice amount to roll?

Lia takes a step back to let him work and scoops some of the purple goo in a piece of cloth.
OOC: the healing potion restores 2d4+2 hitpoints. Roll for it.

Rhok begins to stand as well "You ok?" he says to Lothlién with a steadying hand on his back
"Should we show these remains to some of the other gnomes as well while we inform the King?" he asks the group in general

OOC: I guess we would tell them what happened, but also make it clear that we want to take the news to the kings ASAP, so no chatting around...
Lia is carrying a cloth soaked with goo, she is continuing straight on to the kings.
Rhok while walking past the inventors tells them over his shoulder "We've solved the issue with the King, we can bring you up to speed when we return"
