Xarrothis feels a weight lift off him as he cleans himself with a bursts of spells, making a scent of an old pine. For dinner, he dons the fine vestments with the leftward facing silhouetted head of a dragon in a silver-like material on top of layered materials of shades of grey and trimmed with the same shimmering material as the crest. Awaiting the others to attend supper...
Lia would take her turn to wash up, but would spend part of this time working on the two magic items she got from the vault.
As Lia inspects the magic items, she notices that she is holding a clockwork amulet and a pole of collapsing. You are now aware of their magical properties and can use them yourself or pass them to someone else.
After a refresing bath, you find Roondar again. He leads you to the dining hall, where extra tables have been set. It seems that most of Gonegarde's population is here. He announces your presence both in gnomish and common "here are the heroes that vanquished the monster in our home, let us raise our cups to them!".
A few moments later the kings arrive, dressed in clothes far more elegant than what you had seen before. They take seat at the head of the table and motion you to take seat near them.
The feast is splendid, but the food tastes strange. The plates are vividly colored and the taste feels off, but not unpleasant. There are flagons of mushroom wine for you to taste and halfway through three gnomes wheel in a machine that sounds just like a harp, but you only see a confusion of gears and rope.
Now that the place is safe, king Jebbedo asks you what brought you to Gnomegarde in the first place "by the looks of you I doubt that it was just to purchase some of our wine."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rhok, seeing Lia explain the items, shows her the silver tipped bolts that he found "I found these as well, any idea if they're anything special?"
Hearing King Jebbedo's question, Rhok looks to his companions, and he begins to apologize for not having great news "Your Highness, Your wine is wonderful, and would be well suited in the best Taverns in Phandalin! and the Realm! However, you are correct, we were sent by Town master Harbin, from Phandalin. He wanted to let you know that a Dragon has taken up a roost somewhere in the mountains so that you would not be caught unawares"
"That pole could've saved from a lot of trouble a moment ago, huh?" Lothlién says, thinking that the monster wouldn't be able to take him down so easily if he poked it from further away. If no one else wants it, Lothlién will keep the collapsed pole for now.
After the king speaks, Lothlién completes Rhok's answer: "Also, we've heard words about the marvellous machines your people can build, and we wondered if there's anything especially useful against such ville creature."
Xarroth eyes up the amulet, "How peculiar. Someone might consider these of incredible value, perhaps to the Townmaster back in the human town, he might find it impressive. Heaven knows if he's brave enough to step out from his door to find out..."
"Indeed, these two speak the truth. The human townmaster has gained interest in your fascinating contraptions and see what particular purposes they hold. Unfortunately the latter is also true; a dragon has been said to inhabit these lands currently... If we do not act swiftly, this place... will be in danger." The dragonborn clears his throat, forgoing any poetic details.
King Jebbedo hears your tale and replies "a dragon! I have heard of those creatures, but never seen one myself. We would have to fortify our dwelling just in case. Thank you for the warning." He thinks for a while and signals Roondar to come closer. The king quietly says something and his aide disappears from the room. "We have nothing here that could take out a dragon, but there is something that I've been saving for a while."
The feast continues for some time and Roondar returns holding a small chest. King Korboz recognizes and turns to Jebbedo "you wouldn't dare!" Jebbedo turns to him and replies calmly "in your own words, they have saved our people, and they have certainly saved me. I feel grateful" he turns to you and opens the chest "long ago, a wizard visisted us. He provided entertaining to our court for months, and vanished one day leaving this objects behind" The chest contains an ornated hat and a small wand "None of our people has figured out how to make them work properly, we prefer mechanical machines, but you may find a use for them." With that, the king gives you the chest, along with its contents.
Lothlién'seyes shine when he looks to the objects and listens about a magical mistery. He bows slightly. "That sounds quite interesting! I'd love to spend some time with those, starting tonight, to see if I can learn anything!". He can't help it to sound too curious, even more than really interested in finding an useful way to deal with the dragon;

Xarrotheyes up the chest, an eyebrow is raised before giving the gracious bow fo the head towards the kings, "Most generous, your highness. We were only acting as any decent persons would. If the object is of magical origin, I wouldn't mind a closer inspection..."
Xarroth notices that the artifacts are most likely magical, but can't concentrate enough to determine their exact use during the party.
The feast eventually dwindles, the kings retire to their bedroom and only the youngest gnomes remain. When you feel it's time to rest, a sleepy looking aide guides you to the sleeping quarters.
Before resting, Lothlién and Xarroth work together to identify the objects, which turn out to be a Hat of Wizardry and a fully charged Wand of Pyrotechnics.
OOC: you gain the benefits of a long rest and go up a level.
Rhok looks forward to some rest, he thanks the gnomes for an excellent meal. He sees if there is anything he can do to help his companions with the new artifacts. Otherwise he gladly finds his bed for the night and drifts off to sleep
You wake up refreshed. Even if the beds were a bit cramped for your size, they made up for it in comfort. You hear what seem to be normal mechanical sounds coming from the inventors' workshop. Going out of the room into the common area you find the remains of a fire in the pit, with a kettle hanging over it.
Rhokbegins prepping his things, as well as making sure he keeps a lookout for any more mistletoe on the way back to give to the healer, as he awaits for his companions to wake, and looks for something for breakfast
"I believe so, we need to let the Town master know we've warned everyone on his list. Perhaps we swing by the healer along the way and drop off the mistletoe we found heading down here. Perhaps we find a bit more on the way back." Rhok replies
Xarrothrises finding himself refreshed from such off-beat hospitality, "I cannot think of another reason to stay. Leisure reasons aside, of course." A huff of white smoke stems from his nose.
Rhok also cleans up best he can and looks forward to some good food and drink

Lothlién has some nightmares about objects trying to eat him, and the smell of wine everywhere... but he wakes up fine and ready to go.
"We heading back to Phandalin then?" Lia asks the others as she climbs out of her cramped bed.

"Seems like a good enough plan to me." Lia confirms and gets ready to head out, unless something else happens to change that.
