You leave the farm, and head out across the fields towards the woods, following the faint tracks you have seen. It's early afternoon now, and you are starting to see grey clouds in the distance suggesting rain perhaps overnight.
You reach the edge of the woods and enter. Please make a fresh Survival check as you make your way between the trees following no discernible path and scaring the birds and small critters as you go.
Magnum, you follow the trail through the woods, helping Silent from time to time as he gets a little lost. But the woods are small, and soon the trail emerges on the other side. Ahead of you are cultivated fields, though crops have already been gathered. It's muddy enough that you see the trail continuing. It's now late afternoon, and the trail seems to be heading north and west, around the town but not getting too close to it.
Make another Survival check. Are you travelling at a normal pace, fast pace, or trying to be stealthy?
(OOC: Ah right, forgot Magnum has armour integrated into his body. Yeah, I guess a big half-orc and automaton probably wouldn't be the most graceful hunters around)
You follow the trail without any problems, but it does take time. The animal tracks seem to be leading towards another, slightly larger area of trees, though this one appears to be a cultivated orchard rather than wild woodlands. As you get closer, this becomes clearer, and as you reach the edge of the orchard, with its trees planted in neat rows, the sky begins to turn orange; you are not far from sunset.
You follow the trail, under the trees, as the light from above grows dim; the sky is quite overcast now, and light from the night sky is minimal.
You emerge from the orchard into a small woods that feels quite different, much older, with much more life and the noises of a forest at night. And now you see more than a trail; there is a faint path leading ahead, round and down a small depression in the ground. You hear the sound of gently trickling water, and ahead of you a small stream flows down to the north away from you. Looking east to its source, you follow another sixty feet where between the trees you get a glimpse of a cave mouth, perhaps four feet wide, large enough to admit you. The trail, and the path, lead inside the dark mouth of the cave.
Silent grins and starts whispering to Magnum. Now things get interesting. Neither of us need light to see so we might be able to stay hidden. You want to run straight in or should we come up with something more... uh... clever?
I can set up a magical trap. It takes a minute to set up, but we might be able to lure it into it. It'll be restrained temporarily which should allow us to attack it more readily.
I think we have a few options if your hunch proves true. Kill or capture the creature seems about it.

Magnum would suggest a stealthy pace.
Survival - 17
Silent agrees to a stealthy pace (though he knows his size and clinking armour might make him a weak link).
Survival 15
(OOC: We’re both noisy AF.)

Silent wants to press onward into the orchard and says as much to Magnum.
Magnum agrees.
You enter the orchard, and make your way through the trees as the sun sets.
What is Magnum doing for light?
He has goggles of night on.

Sounds like a plan, anything to move the odds in our favour. If this bugger could tear through those silos, we're in for a beating.
Magnum spends one minute casting Snare. He uses twenty five feet if rope to set up the trap.
He also uses Magical Tinkering to make some loose odds and ends in his pocket smell like a rotting meat.
Okay, so Magnum is able to set his snare spell.
