Silent wills his Echo to move into the space adjacent to Balassar on his left, before he himself maneuvers around Art's prone form to get in melee with Warrior 1 (ending his movement directly above Art on the grid).
He yells Can anyone get the half-elf back up?!before taking a wild slash at Warrior 1.
The warrior staggers under the massive blow of Silent's greatsword, but keeps its balance. The eyes turn and face the half-orc, glowing briefly before returning focus on Art.
Alton, hearing that Art is down looks over in half-elf's direction and says while casting Healing Word, "You're not getting out of this that easy Art." He then turns to look at the skeleton that Silent attacked and casts Vicious Mockery, "Where did they dig you up from? The discount section of the graveyard?"
Bonus Action: Casts Healing Word at 2nd level, healing Art for 8 Action: Casts Vicious Mockery on Warrior 1, DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or take 3 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn. Movement: Alton will hold his ground
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Balassar just lets out a guttural roar as the creature hits him, his instincts driving his scimitar towards the creature. He quickly adjusts himself as he lets out a chilling breath from his next roar at the majority of his enemies.
OOC: Reaction: Vengeful Assault when hit to make an attack on Horse 2: Attack: 16 Damage: 9
Action: Breath Weapon (15ft cone of cold) directed so it hits Horse 1, Warrior 1 and Warrior 2. Con save 12 for half damage. 6
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Just to confirm, Horse 2's attack was on Alton, not Balassar (my mistake, which I have now corrected above). Balassar's vengeful attack reaction won't happen.
The breath weapon does happen though:
Horse 1 CON save: 7 Warrior 1 CON save: 4 Warrior 2 CON save: 9
Will wait for Alton's concentration saving throw before continuing...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Con save for concentration: 21
Alton takes the hit, the wind getting knocked out of him as he did not expect an undead horse to hit so hard. He still holds his concentration on his bane spell despite the hard hit.
(OOC: Just a heads up DM, Silent and his Echo moved on his last turn - Silent should be above Art and the Echo should be beside Alton)
Thanks - I'm struggling with this at the moment, I hope it's not affecting the game too much. Please do keep pointing out where I've missed something. I've adjusted the map below - I hope it's reasonably in line with where we are now.
Horse 1 will now attack Balassar, as the only enemy within range. Once again, it rears on its hind legs and two deadly hooves lash out at the tall dragonborn warrior:
Attack: 7 Damage: 12, minus 2 to the attack roll for Alton's Bane.
That hits but does not penetrate Balassar's heavy armour, and though the hooves knock him about a bit, he takes no damage.
Art appears to be in shock; he's been knocked unconscious, healed and then badly wounded again. He just lies still, barely able to see through eyes hidden by the blood that covers most of his face.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As a bonus action Wash uses another healing light on Art, healing him 1 hp.
Wash then disengages and moves up to the right of Silent, readying to drag Art out of melee range of the skeletons (I believe Art won't get opportunity attacks if dragged, as he is not moving himself).
Trogdor disengages and flies over to land on Alton's shoulder.
Magnum, you punch that horse right in its ugly, ugly face. You think you see a couple of less important bones get shaken loose and they drop to the grass.
Wash, you evade the warriors and horses that surround you and reach Art's side, and he's not looking great even with your healing.
(Yes, if you move him away, you might take an Opportunity Attack, but Art won't.)
Alton, you now have a really small dragon on your shoulder.
Warrior 2 strikes a glowing sword at Art, twice:
Attack: 7 Damage: 9 minus 4 for Bane. Attack: 13 Damage: 11 minus 1 for Bane.
First attack misses. Second attack looks like it might miss too, but the skillful undead warrior changes the direction of his swipe and cuts deep into Art's flesh.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Horse 3 continues its private battle with Magnum, hooves rising to bash at the metal man (with disadvantage from the thunder gauntlet attack):
Attack: 9 Damage: 8
You've never wondered what a disappointed undead skeletal horse's face looked like, and now you don't need to. The horse snorts in annoyance, and moves up a little, so it is within striking distance of Art.
Warrior 2 once again strikes twice at Art:
Attack: 24 Damage: 5
Attack: 17 Damage: 8
Minus Bane 3 and 3
Both strikes still hit, and Art is down, going limp and bleeding profusely.
Horse 3 runs in to attack Magnum; Magnum please make your attack with your gauntlets first.
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Slam!! The thunder echoes through the trees, startling birds all around. :)

But the horse continues on its intended attack, at Wash:
Attack: 8 Damage: 15
Hooves flail in the air, and Wash dodges easily to the side, avoiding contact.
Auspex flutters over to bother the attacking Horse 3.
Silent and Alton are up.
Silent wills his Echo to move into the space adjacent to Balassar on his left, before he himself maneuvers around Art's prone form to get in melee with Warrior 1 (ending his movement directly above Art on the grid).
He yells Can anyone get the half-elf back up?! before taking a wild slash at Warrior 1.
Attack 27 Damage: 24
Edit: Thanks to a half-orc's Savage Attacks Silent gets to roll one more damage die on a crit, so add 2 to the above damage
The warrior staggers under the massive blow of Silent's greatsword, but keeps its balance. The eyes turn and face the half-orc, glowing briefly before returning focus on Art.
Alton is up.
(OOC: Horse 3's attacks against anyone other than Magnum are at disadvantage because of the Thunder Gauntlet strike.)

Action: Casts Vicious Mockery on Warrior 1, DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or take 3 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
Movement: Alton will hold his ground

Art coughs blood, but revives on the ground, still tied up and terrified.
Warrior 1 WIS save: 19
Alton, you feel your spell chip away at the remaining strength of this undead creature.
Warrior 1 responds by making two further attacks against Art:
First with disadvantage, and with bane: Attack: 12 Damage: 12 - 2 fpr bane.
Second normal, with bane: Attack: 21 Damage: 9 - 3
The first sword slice misses, the second connects and Art howls once again - though he is still just conscious on 1 HP.
Horse 2 moves in to attack Alton:

Attack: 22 Damage: 15
A hoof connects with your head and knocks you back two feet. Make a CON save DC 10 to maintain bane.
Round Three:
Balassar
Horse 1
Art (restrained)
Wash, Magnum and Trogdor
Warrior 2 and Horse 3
Silent, Alton and Auspex
Warrior 1
Horse 2
You hear the sound of more riders approaching from the south.
Balassar is up.

Alton makes his save and Bane stays up.

Wash, Magnum and Trogdor are up.
With Auspex harrying Horse 3, Magnum uses the opportunity to punch it in the face with his Thunder Gauntlet.
Attack: 25 Damage: 11
As a bonus action Wash uses another healing light on Art, healing him 1 hp.
