Though your bolts do less damage than you hoped, two spellcasters within moments of each other makes Voskiir react. He calls up to Three Earrings: Damn you, a trap is it? He seems to ready himself to plunge his dagger towards Keyo, but's a feint. Instead, he whirls and dodges and moves away out of your reach, jumping up to the rail of the ship where there are now wooden boards that will allow him to escape, though he doesn't have enough movement yet. (He has disengaged, provoking no Opportunity Attacks). The last remaining other attacker does the same.
Silent throws down his sword. This orc filth will be waiting for a rematch, Lieutenant, he yells in a hoarse voice before collapsing on the deck and staring up at the sky.
Keyo sees Volskiir retreat towards his vessel. Keyo moves to get the other ship in range of his spell. He concentrates on the arcane energy within him and mutters something unintelligible under his breath. He focuses his will to manifest the image within his mind. A great roaring conflagration explodes out from Volskiir's ship.
The frost covers Voskiir's back and he shudders. Then he halts in shock at the image of the explosion before him, staring at it: Investigation15
You hear him swear: Sodding mages.
And then he runs right through the image, reaching his ship and ducking behind cover. The gangplanks come free and splash into the water as Voskiir's ship begins to pull slightly away, but you are still within reach if you wish to attack him, or follow him.
He retrieves his sword and starts wiping Voskiir's blood off.Threw away his men's lives and turned tail like a beat dog... if I said I was surprised I'd be lying. He's a far better swordsman than me but weak where it counts.
He'll be back, with friends. I say we take him out or take him down. It'll buy us the most time and if we take him alive, we can see what he wants from the captain here.
We know what he wants. He wants to arrest and/or execute her. We can disable his ship by taking out the sails. A few well placed fire bolts could get a fire going. If the crew is worth a damn, they’ll be able to control it but it will slow them down considerably.
Keyo looks a little uncertain about how everything escalated. "I understand trying to defend the ship from those pugnacious mariners, but setting fire to their sails seems a little extreme. What if the flames overtook the whole ship!" Keyo then glances around for the captain. "Besides, don't you think Three Earings also has some explaining to do? At the very least we need to demand more compensation for our services!"
It very well could burn the whole ship down. These things are floating tinder boxes. But that’s why I say a crew worth a damn could contain it. If you serve on a ship, you better know how to properly put out a fire.
Silent continues cleaning his blade pensively.I've got enough loyalty to this Captain to defend her ship, he says (loud enough for anybody within earshot to hear). But I am with Keyo - as far as I'm concerned, my fight here is done. I've got no interest in killing a man fleeing from a duel.
I’m not advocating killing him. I’m suggesting we stop an avowedly antagonistic vessel from getting away, re-arming and returning in force. That’s all.
I’m with Pockets. Stop him now or there’ll be more fighting later and we’re more likely to be outnumbered. He didn’t know we had magic, they won’t make that mistake again. Burn it all.

Attacker 3 was already badly wounded, and drops to the deck.
Voskiir grunts as the magical bolt impacts him.
Keyo is up.
Keyo does the same. He concentrates upon his arcane will and summons 3 motes of energy to strike at Voskiir.
Bolt 1: 1
Bolt 2: 1
Bolt 3: 1
(OOC: OMG that is awesome.)

Silent and Pockets are up.
I wouldnt have expected such cowardice from you, Voskiir. I sure hope this doesn’t make you feel unmanly.
Pockets shoots him in the back.
Attack: 20 Damage: 5
Silent throws down his sword. This orc filth will be waiting for a rematch, Lieutenant, he yells in a hoarse voice before collapsing on the deck and staring up at the sky.
(OOC: Wait, how did Keyo's magic missiles do one damage? I thought the damage on that spell was 1d4+1, it shouldn't do less than two. Right?)
(OOC: That's true, they would do 2. I hate that I can't see the rolls any more.)
Pockets, your bolt hits his left shoulder as he flees. But he's not away yet.
Three Earrings shouts: Run, pup. And tell your masters how easily we defeated you!
Round Five
Keyo and Arael
Voskiir
Silent and Pockets
Keyo and Arael are up.
Are we killing him, letting him go, or taking him prisoner? I don't really care, just don't want to piss anybody off.
Arael casts Frostbite again at Voskiir.

(OOC: Kill him, his crew, take their stuff, scuttle their ship. Yarr.)

Keyo casts Silent Image
(OOC: this would be centered where Volskiirs gangplank reaches the ship. Hoping to scare him into staying.)
Voskiir's CON save: 7

Silent and Pockets are up.
Pockets decides to letVoskiir live with his cowardice. He walks over to Silent and casts Cure Wounds, healing him for 11.
Silent sits up and salutes Pockets. Much obliged.
