Celica sighs and shrugs. “Well, it wasn’t a total bust all in all - apparently there’s a bandit crew known as the Shadowless out on a place called Hawk Ridge. That’s the only lead I was able to find. It’s likely they’re our arsonists. Did you two find anything?”
Balassar just looks around and nods at Kef "Offer still stands, I'll be training tomorrow morning if you'd like to learn how to be more confident with that weapon of yours."
Balassar just shakes his head as she speaks "Everyone is too afraid of whoever is causing this trouble - I'm surprised they even have the CrownsGuard running with their tails between their legs. Don't know if we are going to have any luck."
The boy looks stunned, wide eyed, and then nods sharply before resuming his previous activity of staring straight ahead and pretending not to listen to you all.
(Definitely not in the presence of the crownsguard haha)
Celica nods at Belassar. “Yeah… I think we’re best off investigating on our own. It could be real dangerous though - you both prepared for that?” She asks with her arms crossed.
"Sounds like a plan to me! I'm starving. I hope this inn has some strong stew and a radler to wash it down!" Celica exclaims, rubbing her hands together and licking her lips. "What do you boys like to eat? If you could eat anything in the world, what would it be?"
"If we are talking anything, then I'd have to go with me mum's homemade rose apple and blackberry pie, but a hunter's stew with chunks of potatoes and vegetables is good too. Oh, and can't forget fresh baked bread on the side." Alton replies with a smile.

Celica looks even hungrier now. “Rose Apple and blackberry pie? Remind me that, in the event this little trio becomes more than just a one-time thing, we need to stop by your mom’s place!” With that, Celica leads the group into the inn.
You enter the inn, and find it rather busier than the last time Alton was here, even though not much more than a half an hour has passed. It seems that the evening rush starts early, or at least this is a popular place in Feltyr. The drunk gnome is now asleep and snoring quietly. The humans are still at their table, playing dice. New customers have appeared - a trio of dwarves chatting amiably - and loudly - about the success of the harvest, a halfling woman and what appear to be her two teenage children sitting at a table eating, and a half-orc and a human sitting together and holding hands. None of the groups look interested in you as you enter.
The halfing who was working here before is at work again, bringing more plates of food over to the halfling family. The innkeeper is standing in one corner, arms folder, observing the scene; he is the only one who notices you, and nods to Alton as you all walk in.
"We'd better grab a table and some eats before we're outrun by the locals!" Celica declares, marching right up to the innkeep with a winning smile."Good evening! This is a lovely inn you have here. This is my first time in Feltyr and I'm very impressed, it's such a nice little town! My companions and I require lodging for the evening, but we'd like to eat first. Could I get a radler and whatever soup or stew you have that's hot and fresh?"
Alton nods back and follows behind Celica as they go to the innkeeper, "I've already got the rooms for us, at least for tonight." He turns to the innkeeper, "Anywhere in particular you'd like me to set up at and do you want me to wait a little longer or is now good to start?"

"I can get you a trost, or we have a variety of ale and wine from across the Empire," the innkeeper replies to Celica. "And the bear stew is excellent, fresh from the market this morning, and the hunters only got in two nights ago, or so I'm told. Please, have a seat."
He turns to Alton: "Oh, anywhere and anytime you like. Over in the corner perhaps? I know you performer types have different tastes. We had a half-orc bard who insisted on jumping from table to table. Made it work, too. At least, I think he was half-orc. Might have been full orc, from the size of the fellow. Didn't touch a drop of drink though. Anyways, I'd best be getting to work - bear stew for everyone?"
Alton grins, “That would have been some performance to see.” He finds a spot for their group to sit at. While he waits for the food to come out, he fishes out the lute that was gifted to him and begins checking the strings and tuning. “I think something fun and light would be good to start with for both a warm up and to get people’s attention.”

"Sure, I'll write them a letter," the woman says, clearly intending to do no such thing. "Now stop wasting my time. Be on your way, please."
She looks to be done talking with you, for the moment.
Alton nods and takes his badges back before following Balassar out of the office. Once outside he says, "Well, she wasn't much help."

Kef, the new recruit, ignores you all and resumes his rigid standing-to-attention outside the door.
The three of you are standing in the street; you can move away from Kef if you wish, while you talk.
Celica, is this delivered within earshot of the young Crownguard Kef?
Balassar just looks around and nods at Kef "Offer still stands, I'll be training tomorrow morning if you'd like to learn how to be more confident with that weapon of yours."

Balassar looks at them "Yeah, wouldn't be the first dangerous thing we wonder into."
Alton nods, "Yeah, we've gone into plenty of dangerous places before and came back out. Let's rest up for the night and head out in the morning."

"Meat, potatoes and trost." Balassar says just smiles "But I don't know if they'll have trost here. Hopefully someone will want to talk to us."

Balassar follows Celica into the inn "It is a pretty cozy place and the cooking was good."
