The Elven Ranger continues his assault on the ghoul before him. With his magical focus already on the foe, he is able to throw a two shot combination—faking a kick again, Rhane throws a roundhouse punch with his free hand at the undead’s face, then quickly follows with a front snap kick at its already-weakened ribcage.

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
You stand in a room full of corpses - now properly dead, it seems. There's no other door that you can see, other than the one you used to enter. What would you like to do?
Alton checks himself over, "Yeah. I wasn't expecting a ghost to show up." He looks around the room, "How did all of these bodies get in here? I bet there is a secret door! Creepy places like this always have a secret door. At least in the stories I've heard." He'll begin investigating for a secret door.
There is no secret door. You are very confident of that. In your thorough investigation, you do also confirm that none of the remaining corpses are undead and likely to attack you.
Once he has sifted through the bodies for loot or clues to the undead’s purpose here, Rhane stands up and says, “Seems to be a dead end. Let’s backtrack,” and walks out of the room.

You return to the room with the ladder, and try the door to the other room. It opens, and reveals a large room with no people in it, alive or dead. There are however a great many corpses - of mostly birds in cages that line the wall. It's a grim sight - cage after cage stacked high, each with a single, very dead occupant. From the smell and the appearance of the little dead birds, you would guess they have been dead for quite a while. Alton can also make a search here, and find no hidden door.
This appears to be a dead end, with no obvious way to enter into the basement of the house you were originally intending to investigate. Though presumably it is on the other side of the wall in this room - you just don't see an easy way to get there from here.

Balassar's first attack is enough to destroy the last zombie, so he transfers the second strike to the ghoul, also hitting.

Alton, the ghost glares at you. It seems like that one hit the mark, and it takes full damage.
Rhane is up.

Two solid hits, but the ghoul is still standing. Probably one good hit would finish it off now.
Claw scratch, but to no effect - the ghoul's claws meet Balassar's armour (15 against AC).

Alton, Balassar and Rhane
Ghoul 2
You're all up.
