Silent clasps Keyo's hand. You already proved yourself well enough on that beach. Jumping in and laying your lives down... you're all pretty wild people.
I've gotten used to working alone but hell, I can't turn down the prospect of working with a bunch of magic-users. Seems like too much fun to miss.
Numbers can be an asset. And we did save some lives, that is worth celebrating.
She smiles, large and brilliant,
Pockets, you know your way around a ship. Do you think they've got any booze on this boat? A toast to new companions? After nearly dying, I think we could all use a drink.
Pockets wakes up at Arael's question. Booze? I can all but guarantee it. Most of the crew probably has some squirreled away somewhere for their private use, but the most likely place to find some would be in the Captain's quarters.
If the other 3 have moved to look for the captain, Silent will sheathe his sword and walk over to Aurelio and Joao to try to engage them in a conversation.
You complete your short rest while conversing. Keyo, Arael and Pockets walk towards a set of stairs leading down, only for Boerth to block the way with a somewhat friendly smile and a very firm arm across the doorway. Nah. You don't go see the captain. Captain calls you when she feels like it. You can talk to me, though. I'm passenger liaison, he says, his grin getting wider, and there's a muffled laugh from a nearby crewman. So, you got questions?
Silent, Joao and Aurelio look exhauasted, but Aurelio has been tending his two friends' wounds and clearly has some training in medicine and healing. They are both sitting next to the now sleeping form of Elanza, and they look up. Hi, Joao says. I...um... I... think we owe you our lives, right? I don't even know your name. He stands up, a little shakily, and offers his hand. I'm Joao.
Arael flashes Boerth her most charming smile and deliberately rolls the orb from one shoulder to the other,
Passenger liaison! That is such excellent news, and I know you can help me out. We had such a rough time on that beach, we were hoping to have a toast to you and the rest of the crew for helping us escape. After all, nothing says 'let's have a drink' like a near death experience.
(OOC: This is a very different tone than you've heard Arael take before it's almost unsettling. She is trying to flirt her way into some booze. Hopefully this works...)
Boerth gives Arael a long, considered look. Captain's got the only drink n board. You can ask her. Won't give you any, but you can ask. Later, that is.
Arael, you can make a Persuasion check if you wish.
Pockets, you can spend some time observing the crew and their interactions if you wish. As you've barely stepped onto the boat or talked with people, it's kind of hard to ascertain. If you want to make an Insight check you can.
Silent clasps Joao's hand firmly and nods to him and Aurelio. You can call me Silent. And you don't owe me anything, 'cept maybe a drink and some conversation when we have a second.
He smiles at Joao in particular. You're a bit of a hothead, eh? Not half bad with that spear, but I reckon you haven't fought many beasties like that before. I sure as hell haven't.
Arael, he grins some more, but doesn't give any ground... or any drink.
After a few minutes, a voice calls from below: Boerth, our guests, if you please.
You recognise the captain's voice, and Boerth nods, withdraws his arm, and gestures for you to go below. He also turns and calls over to Silent: Hey, warrior boy. Down below. Captain's calling.
Silent, Joao shakes his head emphatically. Never, sir. Um, Silent. Never even seen one before. Heard of them, of course. There was a raid back when dad was my age, smaller of course, but the old folks talk about it sometimes... he stops, and looks stricken. My parents. Oh Gods, do you think...
Aurelio speaks quickly: They were in the woods, most likely, up over the north shore. Probably fine. They'll be worried sick if you don't get back. Mr Silent, can you find out what's going to happen? The sailors are nice but, they won't tell us anything and...
At that point, Silent, you hear Boerth calling you.

We did save her navigator, I can't imagine she'd begrudge us one drink would she?
Arael says with more than just a hint of mischief in her voice.
(OOC - Silent's opinion of these people has risen considerably after they brought up alcohol)
That Boerth guy said she was going to want to speak with us. Maybe she'll just offer us some.
I suppose now is as good a time as any. Shall we?
"Indeed, I could certainly use a drink to calm my nerves. Chances are pretty slim that they have Elven wine on hand, huh?"
Pockets approaches the door to the captain's quarters (if there is one) and knocks. Permission to enter, Captain?

(OOC: Does pockets get the impression that this is a less than reputable crew?)

Insight - 15
A little shady, maybe. It's hard to say.

Yeah, I'll do some digging around. Sit tight - things will turn out okay. Silent walks over to Boerth and joins the group.
