You all stand around the giant, with Captain Fray looking on nervously. You will need to wait 4 hours or use some sort of magical healing to wake the giant. I would assume that Alton would oblige, so...
The giant wakes, and hears Balassar's words. Wuh?, he says.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If it would be a long wait for the giant to come too, Alton would use healing word at first level to wake it up. "Hey, big guy, wake up we need to have a chat."
Balassar, the giant looks at you in confusion, and responds in giant: Ummmm... did not attack small folk. Small folk have nasty metal that cuts and stabs. We stay away from small folk. He looks over the various wounds of his body. Where am I?
Balassar just nods and gives a quick wave "All he remembers is being hungry, going into the forest to eat and then waking up here." he says pointing in the direction of the hills.
Alton watches the giant walk off, "I would say we should investigate the forest, but we're already on another job. We can at least report about it for now and come back later."

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Talking bush? Captain Fray frowns at you. That sounds like a story I should hear. Anyways, I reckon we're about ready to get underway again, if you think it's safe enough. Heh. Safe. She looks around the countryside warily, shakes her head, and then walks back to the wagons.
Balassar just looks at his companions and nods "If that bush keeps making trouble we may need to look into it."
He just looks at Captain Fray and shrugs "Not much to tell. Was looking around a tower one night, a bush said to stop and did something that made me stop. Then we met a bunch of giants and helped them get their home back."
OOC: Is that the same direction of the tower that Balassar had his incident with the bush?
OOC: It's not really the same direction. That was much further to the south. The only common factor would be proximity to the mountains and border with Xhorhas.
I see, Fray responds. Magic of some kind? Did you report it?
As you continue your conversation, the wagons get underway again, maneuvering past the corpse of the dead giant and continuing their journey. You reach the end of the day peacefully.
OOC: Feel free to continue any conversation as we go through the next days of the journey.
Can I have a Perception roll from everyone for keeping watch overnight, and a d20 roll from the first person to see this, plus a d12 roll if it's 18 or above.
(OOC: I feel like we've collectively rolled more nat 20s on these random encounter rolls than on attack rolls for the entire campaign LOL)
One thing's for sure Captain, there's some devilry afoot. we might wanna send word to anyone else planning to travel these roads.
At some point during the trip if the trio have some privacy, Silent will bring up the incident with Art and the Seekers of Shadow back when they first met. Seems like we've been dogged by a bunch of weird happenings, eh? Makes me wonder if there's somethin' connecting it all...
Alton nods, "It does, doesn't it. You think it is connected to that seeker group?" He does a quick look though his bag to make sure everything is still there. "It could just be all coincidental, but it seems like all the weird things have happened after running into Art. On the other hand, we are close to the border so maybe they are using tricks to fight." Alton puts his things back into his bag once he is sure he has everything. "I've heard about a great library ran by some kobolds in Zadash, I think. We can go there if we wanted to look into them more."

Balassar looks at the Giant and just sighs slowing his speech down a little bit "Why did you attack us?"

Balassar keeps his gaze locked on the giant "You attacked the small folk and they knocked you out instead of killing you. Where did you come from?"
Uhhhh, he looks around, still a bit groggy, but then looks to the east and the hills there. Home, he says.
Balassar just nods “Okay, why did you come all this way from your home?”
The giant looks around again, even more confused. Not come from home. Was at home. Don't remember.
Balassar just looks at his companions "Seems friendly. Says he doesn't remember even coming here or attacking us."
He looks back to the giant "What's the last thing you remember?"
Um... Hungry. Went to the forest to catch deer. Um... Yeah, that's it.
The giant stands up. Talking makes head hurt. Go home now, he says, and starts walking off to the east.
Balassar just nods and gives a quick wave "All he remembers is being hungry, going into the forest to eat and then waking up here." he says pointing in the direction of the hills.

Silent scratches his beard, bemused. Guess it's a good thing I didn't kill the poor bastard.
Hey, this ain't the first time somethin' weird was hiding in trees or bushes, though, right? Wasn't there a talking bush we ran into a while back?

Alton scratches his chin, "I don't think we did. We really didn't find anything when we went back to look."
