Darren moves aside, and Balassar moves up. Balassar you hear nothing from behind the first door, but you do think you hear shouting from down the corridor, muffled as though from behind a thick closed door.
Balassar just nods as he stays quiet answering Alton’s question “Even if they may be empty, no point in risking an ambush. Especially in this corridor.”
Rhane moves up and peeks around the corner into the hallway, hearing the sounds at the darkened end of the long corridor. As Darren casts his spell, Rhane recognizes it and says, “Cast it on the crossbow bolt”.
Based on his judgement of the sound, Rhane tries to estimate the length of the hall and sends the bolt downfield, intending to more or less land it at the end of the hallway where the sounds are originating.
He then ducks back around the corner so as not to remain in the straight hallway line lightning bolt formation.

Rhane, your arrow hits, and illuminates, a closed door at the end of the passageway. No doubt the sounds are coming from beyond it.
Kef moves up to join you.
(Let's say if you're going through the now illuminated door at the end of the corridor, you can all take one turn to reposition yourselves as you like, and we'll resume with Alton, Swin, Darren and Bazavur up. If you're going anywhere else, same people are up, but from where you are on the map.)
Swin steps forward, eyes alert and tapping her rapier with precision as she moves, investigating as she walks forward for any traps, mundane or arcane, in the hallway. "Allow me," she says, moving through the column and trying to notice any traps or ambushes along the way (but will allow anyone who wants to move through her space to the front of the line).
No traps, not here. You recall the traps you encountered in the building that stands above this hideout, but there's nothing like that here. The corridor is safe, and well-travelled by the brigands. As you pass the doors you listen, but hear nothing. As far as you can tell, the brigands - those still alive - must be up ahead.
Darren, you see a long, straight corridor with stone walls, floor and ceiling, a couple of doors on either side, and a fleeing brigand.
Darren calls out to them, “stop running!”
if they continue running they’ll get hit with a fire bolt
They keep running. Make your attack.
(27 to hit for 16 fire damage)
Dead.
You see no enemies. But you are still in initiative.
(Darren will make room for his allies to move past him)
Balassar will move in and hold his shield in front of him as he moves slowly, stopping at the first door he comes across.

Swin and Alton?
Alton moves up to the corner of the doorway that leads to the corridor, his hand crossbow at the ready. "Same a before with the doors?"
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Balassar just nods as he stays quiet answering Alton’s question “Even if they may be empty, no point in risking an ambush. Especially in this corridor.”

Swin follows and joins you.
The shouting gets louder, and you hear, despite the muffling, the shouted word: "Traitors!", and then
BOOM!!!
Another explosion, down the far end of the corridor. It's dark, and further than 60 feet so I'm not sure if any of you can see that far?

(If a light source is needed Darren will cast light. Though I think we are still in initiative?)
You are. Rhane and Kef are up I think.

Is everyone joining Swin? If so, let me know where on the map you are positioning yourselves...
Rhane:
Rhane will move up at the tail end of the group. He has a bolt loaded and ready to go if the spellcasting brigand shows his face.
