(Actually Burl chose glorious death, so he's hanging around in the background. Divine sense only detects celestial, fiend or undead, doesn't give any insight into alignment. You can make an insight check to see if there's a trick)

Guenhyvar will glance at the ghosts and chuckle slightly, "Sorry, but even if I die here, my soul is already spoken for. I would not remain as your company."

Lavena moves back to the dollhouse and looks it over.

Thorn whimpers and tucks himself somehow further behind his sister. She says, in a voice filled with rising panic, "NO! No! We can't leave...the monster...." Tears fill her pleading eyes.

Lavena, you see all the secrets this house has as well, including the stairwell that seems to lead down to the basement in the next room.

Rontevich tries his most soothing voice We are going down the cellar, we will try to take care of the monster for you. We need to find a way out too. The monster should not hurt you now that you are ghosts. You can come with us, or we can come back after the monster is gone if you'd rather

"Maybe we need to lay their bones to rest."  Lavena comments as she takes in the dollhouse.  "I see the way to the basement, let's go and see if the next room indeed has the stairway in it..."  She pauses though as she is about to leave.  'We could take the bones with us if you wish to try and find a place to lay them to rest, I would question our ability to return here for them after the fact."

"We should put them to rest." Unfurling his bed roll Saxis will gently place the bones onto it and roll it back up before reattaching it to his bag. "These children didn't deserve this."

 Can we tell which bones are which? we don't need to mix them up.

Rontevich will help, forming bedsheets into a proper shroud for each child, talking calmly to the ghosts, and invoke a solemn prayer for natural cycles. Then once the moment is over he ribs Saxis I thought you did not believe in gods n' things

It's pretty easy to, they're laid out next to each other. The girl looks at Rontevich. "Do you...promise?"

 As soon as I can, I promise I will come tell you if we get the monster. If it gets us, well, you could come with and help us, you'd know sooner.

Looking at Ront trying to contain his fury at the situation "Of course I don't believe in the gods... Had they been here to help them maybe I would." Fastening the final buckle onto his bed roll and turning to Ront "What could these children have done to deserve to starve? How could the gods turn their back on them? It's only us, the gods left this place long ago."

You believe in something though - "put them to rest" you say. A couple gods effed over both my dads, s'how I got to the Old Faith myself. There is a lack of innocence in evidence about this house, only these two seem without guilt. 

Listening to the discussion of the god, Guenhyvar smiles slightly, "I can't speak for the others, but my goddess doesn't need your belief, she simply is and always will be. But perhaps when you meet her, then you will believe. As for them not acting, why didn't anyone else? Mortals are capable of nearly as much good and evil as any god, do you believe in them? Anyway, we can probably talk more on this when we aren't headed toward our doom. Would you like me to lead the way down the stairs?"

Rolling his eyes and standing up "Yes but I can see them, I've never seen these.... Gods." stepping into the hall "I can lead the way, that way you'll have something willing to act protecting you."
