So, I'm starting a new Play by Post campaign on this website. It will be a game taking place in Theros, so you here are the rules for character generation:
Races only available in Theros, such as Leonins, Humans, Centaurs, Satyrs and so on. (If you want to play something else, ask me, and I'll allow it if it makes sense and you give a good reason.)
No Blood Hunters or Critical Role content.
No Unearthed Arcana unless you ask me first.
No Homebrew unless I make it. If you have an idea, ask me, and I will make a subclass or background for you if I approve of the idea.
Any official class and subclass allowed from any book. Artificers are allowed, and so are subclasses from any book. If you want to play something atypical, give an explanation as to why you're playing that.
Use Point Buy or Standard Array to generate ability scores.
Develop a backstory that I can help you develop after you are confirmed to be in the campaign.
Start at level 3
I will have around 5 characters. (I am open to doing an all-one-class campaign, but would prefer cleric if you want to do so.) The game will start next week.
Post a link to you character below as well as any question that needs to be asked here.
Sorry, forgot to clarify the level. Make your character at level 3. We will also choose a Supernatural Gift upon character making. Be sure to note what your character's faith is, if you have one, and explain how you follow them/interpret their purpose.
Possible characters pending group dynamic and/or which you find most interesting to be worth developing (I can make the character sheet once/if I am picked):
Strength based Hunter Ranger Centaur worshiping Nylea, Outlander Background most likely Path of the Zealot Barbarian Minotaur worshiping Iroas, Inheritor background (have something in mind which would need to be discussed of course) Oath of Glory Paladin Leonin, not actively worshiping any god, Athlete background. College of Eloquence Bard Satyr, worshiping Xenagos (possibly doesn't know he is dead?), Entertainer Background Also possibly if you allow the UA a Lurker in the Depths Triton Warlock, worshiping Thassa, Pirate Background
Class: Hexblade Warlock - Hex Warrior/Pact of the Blade
Backstory: Grixeor has lived by the sea his whole life, and having come of age followed his father into the militia guard (hence the martial direction with Hex Warrior) only to stumble upon a bottle washed up on shore that contained a corroded key. With curiousity getting the better of him he unstoppered the bottle and shook the key into his palm. Much to his horror he found himself suddenly unable to move, with the key somehow burning into his flesh. Screaming in pain, his mind was joined with another "WELCOME TO MY SERVICE MORTAL...SERVE ME WELL" to only words he heard before passing out. Waking, he opened his fist to find his palm bearing the brand of the key, and only a faint recollection of the presence that he experienced. Over the coming weeks he began to feel different, a latent dark power brewing, and had episodes of memory loss, being unable to account for time, and occasionally finding himself somewhere that he had no idea where he was, and with an urge to seek out, something.....and with that Grix finds himself leaving his community in search of something or someone, but not knowing exactly who or why.

Backstory
Fillipos lives his life by a very simple motto – ‘Laugh, Love, Live’ – a motto that embodies the Satyr view of the world. Like most Satyrs he has a nickname, his “Tisto” (prounced Teessto and which translates as ‘What the’) is a common phrase used when he is around. For most of his life the satyrs of Skola Vale were very accepting of the strange things that happened when Tisto was around. However, the last straw was when he inadvertently turned the Sibyls’ fur various shades of blues and purples. He was banished from the Vale for five years, five months, five days and five hours, ostensibly to learn how to better control how the way destiny warps itself around him. Innately curious about the wilder world, Tisto has taken this as an opportunity to learn about other people and what makes them tick and why generally they are such a group of ‘Stick in the Muds’ rather than about himself which is what the Sibyl’s hoped when he was banished.
Saelyn grew up in the Siren Sea to a fairly high born family. Her father was the captain of the guard of her home city, and as such, he trained her in combat, while her mother taught her the ways of Thassa. With several elder siblings, Saelyn had never had too many responsibilities, but had always been fascinated by the land and the people who lived there. One day she felt pulled, as if the tide itself were drawing her away. She followed it, leaving a note behind to explain her disappearance and took her first steps on dry land.
withdrawn, seems you only want certain class/role for picks. Understandable since its a new setting/world so many DM's will want to do a oneshot adventure. So the picks make sense then for the traditional short campaign life for pbp tryouts. If you like the setting and want a long term campaign let me know!
Backstory: Kefe lives out her life in search of fun, gold and pranks. She's a charlatan, selling forged documents, such as bill of goods, to merchants and nobles all alike. Her path as a cleric for Phenax after gaining his favour through a daring con.
Backstory: Raised in Skophos, I found companionship with a priest of Ephara. He introduced me at a young age to a Leonin blacksmith who taught me the trade. I have much respect for the Leonin, and wish my people to become more civilized. I have set out from my home to perfect my craft, and prove that Minotaurs are not all evil bloodthirsty monsters. I despise this axe, and can not wait until I hang it up for good.
Class: Druid (Circle of Dreams or Shepard still deciding)
Faith: Nylea
Background: Acolyte
Backstory: Born in the Skola Vale, Yanna spent her early years in the constant party that is the saytr life. She'd never taken a step outside the Vale even as a young fawn, hearing stories about the world outside only from storytellers and the occasional outsider that had wandered into the Vale. They always sounded interesting... if a bit dull. As she grew older, she began to wander the woods within the Vale itself, learning to use the magic that it offered, along with the powers that Nylea blessed saytrs with. Using these newfound magical abilities, Yanna began to train with Nylea's Favored, the Saytrs who helped protect the forest that made up the Vale. Though, by the time her training was completed, Yanna's wanderlust had begun anew, and she decided to set out into the world to see what Nylea wished for her to do, spread her word, and maybe try to help with the dullness that seemed to plague the people who lived outside the Skola Vale.
background: Shira Vires was part of a forest tribe comprised of humans and centaurs until it was attacked by an army of undead from then on Shira has lived with a few survivors from the attack and has sworn to kill all who oppose the remnants of her clan. She has learned how to hunt and is well known in the surrounding towns after kidnapping officials to raise awareness of the people living in fear outside of the cities. She also renounced the gods and is disgusted by their treatment of the earth.
born in Sitrium, Keenan was raised by a family of moderately powerful nobles, with ties to the line of the oracle in Meletis. his family scraped their way up the ranks of the nobility, until they could afford to send Keenan to the foremost academy in the whole of Theros:The Dekatia. Keenan studied there under the watchful eye of the head philosopher, until one day in an argument with the son of a powerful merchant prince from Akros, he lost control, and something snapped inside him. some boundary that called forth a primordial magic that has slumbered for millennia. he maims and cripples his opponent, and is charged with assault and attempted murder. he is sentenced to die until Erebos, god of the dead took an interest in the magic he wields and ,through the oracle, tells the mages school of the academy to accept him into their ranks. keenan literally through a divine miracle is saved and starts his term as a mage adept. all of the other adepts despise him thinking that he "cheated' to get in. keenan also struggles with his magic, as it is dangerous and out of control as well as possessing properties that have rarely been seen before. the professors (unbeknownst to Keenan) are afraid that his powers may have come from the ancient enemies of the gods. The Titans. Keenan has just left the school and is now trying to find the source of his magic.
Keenan's family worshiped Heliod but Keenan is skeptical about the gods and their motives
Okay, we currently have a Triton Storm Sorcerer, Minotaur Zealot Barbarian, a Satyr Druid, and possibly a Human Necromancy Wizard.
We still need at least one more character, probably a second as well. I have contacted the people that are in the campaign. If you haven't been accepted yet, it's probably because the character is too similar to another, or something doesn't quite fit in with the campaign.

Backstory:
When Zenon was born on xxx to Drusus of Altriso, a high ranking priest of Ephara, and Hypatia of Melitis, a high ranking priestess of Klothis there was great rejoicing in the household for his birthdate was equidistant between the Gods’ two holiest days suggesting that they both looked favourably on the birth of Zenon. Not long after his birth, the family noticed something strange about their son: first at night time, whilst lying in his crib his body appeared as if it was wrapped in a cloak of stars; second in dim light it was almost as if the eye was drawn away from his body. Obviously more than one god was interested in the baby. Zenon grew up amidst the trappings of a wealthy Melitian family and with access to the best tutors, weapons trainers, never wanted for anything. However there was something missing in his life and he could only fill the void by constantly challenging himself to get into places where valuables of many different kinds were hidden and then stealing them. Having no need of the valuable item – it was all about the challenge – he would then give it away to the most wretched child he could find in the back streets of Melitis.
Many members of Zenon’s class become followers of Phenax but having been raised by supporters of the more traditional gods, Zenon is no believer in the underlying tenants of Phenax’s worship of, and support for, gambling, deception, and betrayal. Who Zenon will ultimately become the champion of is hidden by a veil which only Kruphix himself can pierce.

Andlech dropped the sack on the ground, the head of the monster rolling partially into view.
"It's dead. I'll take my money."
He accepted the small pouch of gold. Lighter than he had been used to. He missed the Alamon. Food was regular, compatriots nearby. He missed the time spent in the small force wandering the borders of Akros and hunting monsters. He had retired a few years ago. He still had it, getting better he thought. Eventually though the old make way for the young and he left the Alamon. So he continued to serve his people, protect the polis from monsters. He lived off the land near the mountains and hunted monsters on his own taking money to keep his gear in shape and his belly full. It was never a lot of money. He wasn't trying to be a hero, he was just trying to keep his vow to Heliod.
Andlech had called upon Heliod to witness an oath of victory in battle, perhaps he took notice. He swore an oath to commit his life to hunt monsters, and so he did, even if he couldn't do it with the Alamon anymore.
