Bram wheels around, pulling out his crossbow and searching for the source of the noise:   Perception: 18

It's definitely another bullywug, and it sounds like it brought some friends. It came from right outside the cave.

"Well, well," Tafod says. "A'int this a su'prise." Tucking his shield up and hefting his battleaxe he snarls, "The big froggie's de'der 'n soon yer'll foller."

A bullywug walks around the corner, larger than any you've seen before. She wears a muddy cloak of feathers and scales, and is dragging a halfling boy by the neck behind her. The boy quivers in fear and struggles desperately in the bullywug's grip. Two more bullywugs come around the corner, and next to each of them is an ugly toad as large as a horse!

Completely terrified at the presence and kicking himself for wasting all his talents in the previous bouts.  He looks for some sort of cover before piping up. 

“Nitwits say what?!” - vicious mockery for 2 psychic damage.

The big bullywug croaks in affronted anger at Davner as the halfling ducks behind a rock.

(Enemy turn upcoming!)

When she sees the band of heroes, the large brute throws the halfling boy to the ground and charges straight at Tafod! The boy struggles to his feet and, in the confusion, runs away! The brute takes two stabs at Tafod with a large and nasty spear.

She then looks at the rock that Davner is hiding behind and croaks in a mocking, taunting way.

Davner's DC 15 WIS: 12

On a failure, Davner is filled with confidence in his abilities, and uses his reaction to run screaming straight into melee with the bullywug champion.

The two other bullywugs run towards Bram and engulf him in a flurry of teeth and spears.

One of the giant toads leaps laboriously towards Tafod. A net on its back carries small barrels and cloth sacks. It opens its mouth and a long barbed tongue comes whipping out, which lashes at Tafod.

The other lumbers towards Bram and tries to wrap him up with its slimy tongue.

Attack: 11 Piercing damage: 8 Poison damage: 11

If either toad attack hits, the target is grappled.

Ursula groans in a combination of frustration, disbelief, and fear as more of the toad beasts appear and attack. Cursing herself for overconfidence, she digs deep, summoning the last vestiges of her magic to channel a spell ( Sleep ), calling down a net of shadows.

Using last Sorcery Point to gain a spell slot and then casting Sleep, affecting 18 HP of enemies.

Ursula puts one of the bullywugs to sleep.

Tofod will continue attacking the same beastie.

Tafod's axe swings through the air and cuts into the giant toad's back.

Davner follows Tafod and strikes with his rapier at the toad that was just struck.

Blast! Forgot to ‘Rage’.  Tafod will do so on his next attack.

Bram manages to fend off most of the bullywug's hits, though the two who first attacked him do manage to hit him with a few of their attacks.

He takes a deep breath, trying to regain his concentration: Second Wind 10

Then he levels his crossbow at the two large toads.  He aims first at the injured one, but will obvious redirect his fire to the second toad if the team manages to fell it before he can squeeze a shot off:

He then roars, adrenaline pumping, and in a surge of action attacks the toads again!

Pierced by blades and arrows, the giant toad just barely manages to keep its hold on life. It bites back at Tafod!

The other toad tries to engulf Bram again.

The bullywug champion continues her violent assault on Tafod!

The waking bullywug continues to try to tear Bram to pieces.

Bram, dodging the attack, will continue to fire at the toads until they drop, only switching aim when both of them are deader than doornails!

(He won't move until there is an opportunity to do so without an attack of opportunity...)

Ursula whips her hands around, weaving a chilling spell (Frostbite) so that the shadows leech the energy from the nearest foe. (For 5 Cold damage and imposing disadvantage on their next attack if they fail a DC 14 CON check)

 Tafod will continue his attack on the champion Bullywug.

Davner goes running and screaming into battle, assured of his victory will soon be at hand.
