Vani nods in agreement.

So, you walk down the trail the rest of the day, coming across a large crossroad heading to different destinations across Western Wynandir. You continue straight, and arrive to a hilltop about a mile away from the city at around 6:00 in the evening today. 

Hasira, tired from the long road and the longer days is thankful for the near approach of the city.  Things have been going poorly for the past couple days, and he is just ready for a small amount of rest, even if it is hampered by the entity's demands.  

Aurora starts getting restless as Hasira remains quiet and contemplative over the course of the ride.  Sensing his bad mood, she starts to fly around, doing little tricks and flips as she does.

Vani stays on edge the whole time they're on the road, not trusting that something bad wasn't going to happen again.

You approach the city coming down the hill. You see many black pillars of smoke coming from above the city, and they're all coming from one district of the city. 

Vani pauses as she sees the smoke. "That doesn't look good..." she says.

Beornrun

"Aye, it does not."  Turning to their new comrades, "Do you know what part of the city that is?"

Hasira (I like this introducing the character at the start of the post)

"We have to hurry.  Maybe we can do something to help.  It may be an out of control fire, but it also might be an attack.  Aurora, fly high ahead, see what's happening, and fly back.  We're following after you!"

Perception (Aurora) if needed - 13

"Why can't things be peaceful for 5 minutes?" Vani askes,

Aurora flies forward, and returns about 15 minutes later, and tells Hasira telepathically, "Chimneys. This is a mining city, and the smoke is coming from the chimneys of blacksmithers."

"Ah. Of course. *ahem* well I feel foolish. Everyone , it is nothing to be concerned with. That is just the smoke from factories and smithies. Thank you, Aurora. "

(Sorry if that original post was misleading. There's no raid on the city or anything. Just a lot of blacksmithers.)

haha, no...assuming our characters no nothing about the town....maybe it's how we would react...

So, the rest of the journey takes about half an hour.

Looking at his new travelling companions, Hasira asks "You wouldn't happen to know of any good places to eat and stay in the city would you?"
