(I forgot to say this, but just as you were freaking out about the city being on fire, Tiaathque and Ellywick were giggling, and about to tell you that it was just the forges that were creating the smoke. They're still laughing a bit.)

Ellywick speaks up, "Uh, there's a few taverns: The Golden Rose, The Leaping Goat, then there's The Stay-Inn, but it's more of an inn than a tavern." 

Hasira

Laughing a bit at his own foolishness and paranoia, Hasira responds, "Those all sound pretty promising.  Which has the best food?  I think a good dinner is in order after the long road."

Vani nods in agreement, face flushing in embarrassment.

"If you want good food," Ellywick replies, "The Better-Bar has good food, but isn't close to the inn or taverns. The tavern with the best food is The Golden Rose."

Hasira

"Well in that case, I think the Golden Rose is a fantastic idea!  Where are you heading once we get there?"

Vani nods in agreement

Vani nods, "If you want we can help you there before going to eat?"

"Oh, we don't need help in the city," Ellywick says, "We'll be fine. If anyone tries to rob us, we'll be on an open road, and Tia can fry them."

Vani nods, "Well, take care then."

"You as well," Tiaathque replies. 

So, you enter the city through the main gate, right? There is a wall around this city, but it's only like a foot thick and made of stone and in some sections, steel. There are 2 guards, both humans, one is female, the other male. They both have shields with the symbol of the Dwendalian Empire, wield spears, and are wearing armor. 

Hasira

Seeking no trouble, we enter through the main gate.  No need to draw attention to ourselves in this new city as well.  We will follow the directions which Tiaathque gave us to the Golden Rose.

Beornrun

"We will find out soon enough if word has gotten this far.....maybe we should try to enter separately, in case they are looking for a large party?"

"Hopefully word has not.  But in case you're right, you can go in first with Vani, Wave and I will follow after. You remember how to get to the Rose? "

Vani nods, "Ya, I remember. I'll meet you there."
