(Spry makes short work of the lock, throws the door open and beckons to Bess.)
"Come on little one! We're taking you back to your dad!"
(The little girl is scared but her eyes light up at the mention of her father and she allows herself to be helped out of the cage. Spry was so quick with the cage he manages to get Bess completely out of the door. They're now a couple of feet outside the door.
The Shaman looks like he's about to start doing something, but sighs and keeps performing the ritual instead.)
"Hah I heard you idiots talking about a god or something. How foolish as no god would have you filthy degenerates as servants." (talking is a free action right?)
Chotec runs towards the bugbear and adjusts himself so hi breath weapon hits the bugbear and the shaman both. And sends forth his lightning breath. DC 12 DEX

Bugbear Save: 21
Shaman Save: 19
(The Bugbear takes the full brunt of the Breath Weapon and is hurt! The Shaman manages to dive under the altar and only takes partial damage, but it still hurts the old Goblin quite a bit. However, the spell he has been working on is broken: All of their hard work is now for naught. The Shaman points his finger at Chotec and casts Ray of Frost!)
Attack: 19 Damage: 4
(The Shaman's weak spell sputters and leaves him with an uncomfortable icicle hanging from his finger.
Shy decides to try to finish off the injured Shaman in hopes of only leaving the Bugbear to fight against. He throws both of his dagger at the Shaman!)
Attack: 8 Damage: 3
Attack: 14 Damage: 4
(The first one goes flying overhead but the second finds its mark and hits the Shaman right in the chest, killing the feeble old Goblin dead.
The Bugbear roars ferociously, seeing all of his plans go to waste. He grabs a nearby Javelin and throws it at Chotec with bad intentions!)
Attack: 12 Damage: 8
(The Javelin hits Chotec right in the thigh, wounding him pretty severely! It's a pretty large weapon. Chotec manages to pull it out quickly, but there is now a gaping hole about 4 inches across in his thigh: That's going to leave a pretty wicked scar for the rest of his life, however long that may be.)
(Chotec fearlessly runs up to the Bugbear and, with all of his might, brings his Great Sword crashing down on his enemy! The stoke narrowly misses cleaving his head right down the middle, but does manage to slice off his entire left ear and cuts a deep, deep wound into his shoulder! The Bugbear bellows in excruciating pain and drops to a knee, very weakened and near death.)
DMs note: Welp, looks like everyone except you have dropped out, Fraiziar. Will you do me a favor and play all of the characters? The adventure is very close to being over. Thanks for sticking with it.

(so it's spry's turn rn?) Spry takes out his shortbow and takes a shot at the bugbear.
Attack: 18 Damage: 5
(i rolled sneak attack as well) "I thought the plan was to run!"
(Chotec's reaction) "Hah there's no way i will lose to a single person one on one so there's no need to run"
(Then it's Shy's turn? Well even if it isn't Shy will act like this) Shy looks at Chotec disaprovingly but isn't willing to leave him alone so he shoots at the bugbear also.
(Spry takes a stand, steadies himself, and lets loose an arrow. The 'zip' is heard as the arrow nails the Bugbear right between the eyes. A look of confusion on his face, he falls face first into the ground with an arrow sticking right out of the back of his skull. The Bugbear is no more.
The party stands triumphant in the room, the Bugbear's body at the foot of the stairs, the Shaman's near the altar. You all also notice that the altar is in front of a large statue of what appears to be a knight with a stone sword pointing down in front of him. The body of the Goblin also lays to the side.)
(Chotec calls Bess into the ring. She looks reluctant and frightened, but comes inside the room. Spry gets his arrow back and kicks the body of the Bugbear pretty hard. Shy looks over the Goblin and Shaman. He finds 3 cp, a bunch of herbs and a weird stone holy symbol.)
Let me know if you want to do anything else before you head back to the town.
Chotec stands a bit further with Bess in his hands as he doesn't want the girl to see anything bad. "Can you guys look through the altar and see what you find" He asks
Spry and Shy give silent nods and carefully investigate the altar.
(Spry and Shy walk over to the statue and look at it. It depicts a knight, his sword in front of him pointing at the ground. He seems vaguely familiar. You think it looks like that guy on the mural, the leader guy... you know, the guy... but you can't remember his name. Maybe it'll come to you if you think about it long enough.)
On the base of the statue, you notice a small plaque with an inscription that reads:
"If you are to keep this, you must first give it to me."
DMs note: You can look at the history of the thread if you want to refresh your memory, no problem with that. Let me know if you do anything else, or you can choose to head back. Your call.
The trio of adventurers, not finding anything more in the room head back towards the blacksmith. Careful about the trap and Chotec carrying the girl with him.
(After taking some time to consider the statue and ultimately running out of ideas, the party agrees to leave this place. You trek briskly, already somewhat familiar with the woods and no longer having to worry about tracking. It is late in the evening, around 8 or 9pm when the party arrives back at the north edge of town near Rickard's property.)
"Bess! My sweet girl!"
(Rickard runs and meets you all outside of his gate just as you clear the woods. He has obviously been waiting near there, hoping to see you all return.
"Papa!" Bess cries, as they run and embrace each other, both shedding tears of joy. The sight of the big, burly Blacksmith crying over having his little girl back brings joy to all of your hearts. After letting them have their moment, Rickard thanks all of you, shakes all of your hands, but notices something is off.)
"The Half Elf?"
(The remaining trio look solemn and shake their heads sadly. Rickard looks quite guilty.)
"I-... I'm sorry about your friend. I will never forget her sacrifice... or yours."
(He takes a moment and bids you all to allow him to take you back to the Tavern so that you may rest.
"They did it! They saved my girl!" Rickard shouts as they enter the busy Tavern. The townspeople are all excited, cheering, clapping you all on the back, congratulating you all and Rickard for getting his daughter back. Willfred shakes all of your hands and offers you all whatever you wish to drink or eat, on the house. Jack the Serving Boy hugs Bess and holds back tears as well. The entire tavern proclaim you heroes and surround you, eager to hear your tales of heroism and how you saved Bess, including losing Illyandra, which you all don't give too many details on, but everyone seems to understand. The whole tavern toasts to her memory, and slowly, things get back to a celebratory mood, until, by the end of the night, you all are satisfied in every way.
And, yes, you do get paid. $$$ :)
DMs note: Thanks for sticking it out, Fraziar, I hope you had some fun. Sorry about all of the others dropping out. In case they check back: Guys, it was a pleasure, I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for playing!
Thanks for DM:ing. It was fun. Although the people leaving without a word was somewhat frustrating there's nothing we can do about that.(or if they pm:d you about it the story's different) Good bye

Chotec goes towards the entrance and calls the little girl to come in the room.
Spry goes to the Bugbear and takes his arrow out quite roughly giving the corpse a kick as well.
Shy searches through the bodies of the goblin and the shaman looking for any loot
(I know right XD i was even complaining to myself at the start of the campaign that i was the only one with bad rolls in combat)
