Chotec get's up feeling extremely embarrassed about his fumbling and weakened by the continuous hits on his body. Unarmed and angered his only thought is to pummel the last remaining boar with his hand axe that he drew Attack: 7 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
(idk if i can use my other hand for a second strike as a bonus action but if i can i'll attack with my fist attack 19 damage: 4)
(Chotec stands up and rushes at the last Boar, his Hand Axe misses but his fist hits the beast right on the nose, driving it up into it's brain! The Boar staggers for a moment before falling over, breathing heavily for a moment, then expiring.
As you all stand there, breathing heavy from the adrenaline, you look at each other with pride, having survived your first battle as a group. It is dark and setting up camp for the night seems like an unavoidable choice, as tracking in the dark would be prohibitively difficult.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chotec calms down from his anger and takes a quick look around their surroundings looking for hidden enemies (12 + whatever i have to add to this) then he goes to pick up his fallen great sword and place his axe back on his waist where a similar one rests at the moment. sheathing his sword at the other side of his back he speaks towards his comrades-in-arms: "That was an excellent battle all of your combat skills are truly something to admire. Unfortunately i am pulling you down as i was hurt too much during that fight and will have to rest. Would it be possible to look for a suitable place for a camp as the night will be soon upon us?
Ilyandra wipes some sweat from her brow and smiles. "Well, that was fun," she quipped, looking around at her companions. The half-elf looks unhurt, but the adrenaline from the battle still pumps through her veins. She does not like the idea of leaving the little girl with the goblins for longer than needed. Leaning against her staff she glances at Shy. "You will still be able to track them in the morning?"
(Chotec scans the area for any possible additional danger, but it seems these Boars were the only creatures nearby.
Shy nods affirmatively to Ilyandra.
You all make camp for the night, taking turns on watch to make sure nothing sneaks up on you all. Nothing bad happens. You awaken, refreshed, and ready to continue.
You pick up the trail again and walk further into the woods. Around 11am or so, you reach a clearing. You slow down and see this:
(About 100 feet ahead, you see 2 goblins guarding a stone entrance. The goblin on the right looks like a serious little fellow, an intense look on his face as his eyes periodically scan the perimeter on the south side.
The goblin on the left, however, does not seem to be taking his assignment too seriously. He seems to be amusing himself with a dirty goblin magazine, hooting and hollering as he unfolds the centerfold and tries to show it to his more serious compatriot, who is visibly annoyed at his antics.
The two guard goblins start having an animated discussion... in Goblin. )
DMs note: I'm fudging a little bit because I think it makes things more interesting, but I'm going to add a language proficiency to one of you at random.
(Spoiler for... Shy, who now knows Goblin):
"Check out the *unclear* on her! Huh? Buddy?"
"Knock it off, Krang! We're supposed to be keeping watch while the boss does his ritual."
(Krang looks like he doesn't give a shit.)
"Dude, you're such a goody two shoes! We've been here for 3 days and haven't seen one single person! Nobody comes here!"
"It doesn't matter. Something happens and the boss will tear into both of us. So do your job."
(mimicking) "So do your job..."
(The rest of you all hear gibberish, but the serious one seems to be angry at the lazy one.)
"What the hell is taking so long, anyways?"
"It'll take as long as it takes. Boss said it might take as long as 24 hours, and they just got started last night."
"Then the kid gets it, right?"
"Yup. Needs to 'spill the blood of the innocent' to make the place all holy for the Goblin God."
"Well, that'll be fun, at least."
(The tension between the two goblins seems to be eased. The serious one almost cracks a smile. The lazy goblin goes back to his post, sits on a stump, gives a quick glance to the area he's supposed to be patrolling, then goes back to his magazine.)
DM's note: Ok, so, just so you're all aware of the situation, you're all about 100 feet away from the guard goblins. If you try to shoot them with arrows from where you are you would have disadvantage if you have a shortbow but if you have a longbow it's a normal roll. If you make it to the forest cover to the north you'd be about 60 feet away from the lazy one and about 80 ft away from the serious one. Also, if you want your damage to be non-lethal please let me know when you roll.
what should we do?" Chotec asks his party. "I'm not really good at sneaking so if we want to fight straight on i'm up for it but they might use the girl as a hostage if we are too noisy and notify the goblins in the cave. Does anyone know what they are talking about? If one of us could speak goblin we could possibly get useful knowledge out of their conversation." He finishes.
(btw was the rest we had counted as a long rest? or a short rest? If it's a long rest how exactly does natural healing work with it?)
“We need to take them out as quickly and quietly as possible,” says Ilyandra, eyes shifting between the goblins and her companions. “I have a spell that can reach them from here, can anyone else do anything from this far away? If not, we should try to sneak up.”
"Well I'm pretty handy with this short bow, though I'd quite like to sneak round to the North for a clearer shot, as it's bit far from here."
A flash of inspiration crosses Spry's face.
"You know, I've also got this bell, candle and piece of string in my pocket. Perhaps we could fashion some sort of delayed action diversion? If we rig it up like so, and put it in the south end of this wood, then sneak up to the north end... once the candle burns through the string it will release the bell, and distract the goblins southwards while we cross over to the north wood on the other side?"
"If they look over only for a moment, we'll at least be able to cross the open ground. If only the serious one goes to investigate, we can assume the lazy one won't notice us crossing over. And if they both go for a look, we can circle round and cut them off from that stone entrance, we might even get a few pot shots at them whilst they run back towards us. How's that for a plan?"
Ilyandra looks a little skeptical. She would much rather just strike from here, but if her companions cannot also do so, then Spry's suggestion might be a better option. "If you think you can make it work," she said. She eyes Chotec. "We still must be stealthy though."
DMs note: This is one of those deals where I have to stay out of it until you guys have to come to an agreement. If you're going to make a move please roll stealth. If you're going to build something describe it to me and roll a 20, I'll tell you what skill it will use based on your description and add the modifiers. For now, go ahead and give me a pre-emptive Initiative roll that may or may not get used.

"I agree with using a distraction because it won't hurt us even if it fails but it could be extremely advantageous if it succeeds. Either way i will have to rush at the goblins for close combat but it would be easier to fight if they wouldn't get additional forces and if we were to be able to kill them without alarming the other goblins. If we have until nightfall we could also prepare a trap where to retreat if things go south"
I wanna look and see if there is anyone hidden in the northern forest 14
Ilyandra nods firmly, looking to Spry, "Alright, build it, and quickly, I don't want to leave this girl for any longer then necessary." She pulls out her staff. "Let's get ready to quietly move into that other patch of woods."
"Right you fellows, get to the North part of the wood, I'll set up the distraction and join you up there, then we'll cross the open ground together."
Spy goes to the South end, hangs the bell from a piece of string, the other end attached to a high branch, pulls it to the diagonal, and pegs the other end to the ground. Then he sets up the candle to burn through the bottom string in about 10 minutes, giving himself time to rejoin the group.

(Chotec scans the Northern Forest area for any possible enemies, but doesn't see much of anything.
Spry sets up the ingenious little contraption on the south and scurries along silently into position to sneak towards the Northern forest. After some time, the candle does its thing and the bell rings.)
"Did you hear that?"
"No."
"... I better go check it out. Keep an eye out."
"Yeah yeah."
(The serious goblin walks over to the area where the noise came from while the other stays on his stump.
Shy very stealthily manages to get to the Northern Forest area undetected by the Lazy Goblin, who is still busy with his magazine.
Ilyandra tries to sneak over to that northern area as well, but, unfortunately, accidentally kicks a rock and it goes rolling towards the goblin, who lazily looks up.)
