Volo shrugs. Not much more to tell, really. We did some drinking, some gambling, then I bade him a good night, and the last I saw him was outside the tavern.

Valen tries to recall if he knows where the Skewered Dragon is located. He hasn't been all that caring about the sign hanging out front, so might not know the name of the place, though he has probably been there, due to him making the rounds of the taverns of late.
Finishing his ale (and his short rest), Auric gets up and says, "So be it. Let us be off." He heads out after the others who seem to know where the Skewered Dragon is.

You travel through the streets of Waterdeep. It's bustling with activity; vendors shouting their wares, children chasing each other through the alleys, and the mixture of scents you've grown accustomed to fill the air. Fried and roasted food, herbs, potions, and the acrid smell of smoke from the blacksmith fires waft through the air.
Getting closer to the Dock Ward, the air changes to a salty breeze. As you turn a corner, you find yourselves on a street that has been cordoned off by the City Watch. Lying on the cobblestones are a half-dozen corpses, seemingly the victims of some terrible skirmish. Watch officers have disarmed and arrested three blood-drenched humans and are in the midst of questioning witnesses. One of the officers sees you. “Get on,” she says. “Nothing to see here.”

Auric nods his head and says, “Of course, Officer. We were just on our way to the Skewered Dragon to investigate a missing persons report ourselves. Would any of the victims there happen to be a redhead with expensive clothes?”

About to walk past, and thinking little of the situation, Valen pulls up as his companion asks if one of the dead matches the description of the person they were looking for. He waits for the answer, glancing around to see if anyone is following them.

”Quite fair of you,” says Auric to the guard looking out over the bodies. When he catches the cold stares of the ones being arrested, he tries to figure out why they might be looking at us—do we know them?

Auric, you see that none of the bodies match Volo's description. You also get the feeling that the three captives are simply remorseless killers that are trying to intimidate passersby.

Turning to leave, Auric says, “Looks like we need to find another route. Please, lead on,” he asks Rayner.

Urukar meets the stares of the apprehended killers, bares his teeth at them in a growl, and follows the rest of the group. "It will be difficult finding one dead body if every other street is littered with them. Is this a local custom I am unaware of?"

With a frosty look at Urukar, Auric says, “I do not presume to speak for you.”
Turning to Volo, he asks, “What does this Floon fellow look like?”
