Ron, standing from just around the corner of the building he hid behind, responds immediately. "Normally, yes, burial on select grounds would be the way of things. I would strongly suggest we leave the task to others who cling to this world. In a few days, any such effort will be as if not performed at all."
Eleana stands, looking to Ron, Amandil and lastly Anahn. "I know time is limited, but if there are others like this in the town, they're doing a lot of harm. This group was completely unprepared for us. If we can find their portal... maybe we can close it to cut them off before they even know we're here." She has a face of worry, obviously distraught by the idea of other pillagers freely killing and looting. Regarding Anahn's looting, she doesn't seem strongly opinionated
Danniell and Hallamir sit on opposite sides of the loot issue - literally and figuratively - with Danniell relieved that Anahn stopped. Hallamir grabs a single piece of jewelry, however. "We should at least get something for stopping them. No one will begrudge us for just a little."
((House-rule: Passive Investigation. Akin to Passive Perception for a minimum of average performance in investigating, when not pressured. No other skills will benefit in this way.)) Hallamir aids in looting the soldiers, which will takes a minute to do. The soldiers had coin purses, totaling 44 gold, also containing a few small pieces of jewelry roughly worth 90 gold, and their finely crafted bone weapons might fetch a collector's fee on your homeworld- Jeanette the shopkeeper will give you a fair value. One also possess a unique horn.
“Sounds like a sound plan to hunt for their portal, cutting the problem off at its source, it’s seeming to be an efficient enough answer. I’ll support whatever the group decides however.” After sharing he will simply return to keeping watch, waiting as the party discusses their next move.

Van blinking his eyes rapidly and coming back to himself says "Forgive me, I was having a little conversation with Torn about why she didn't discuss with me the limitations of my spell use. It seems I can only..." He shakes his head "Never mind. We have it worked out now"
Although he's been in a conversion in his mind Van perks up at the idea of finding another portal. "Hmm, yes, give me a moment" He whispers down to Wes. "Track and report"
Wes scurries out of the extra dimensional space under Van's arm and slink off going into s search pattern
Sending Wes into a search pattern starting 90' ahead of us and going back and forth, say, 120' for 10 minutes. (basically like a 120' cone ahead of us)

Van will also cast detect magic and start walking up the street
Eleana quietly says a prayer for the two corpses, while Hallamir continues fingering through the pile, looking for the most appropriate 'reward' for dealing with the bone warriors. Wes pads further down the road, starting to zig zag just within sight, looking for threats. Danniel moves next to Eleana, looking down at the corpses, silent.
Ron walks up near Amandil while glancing around. "It's more eerie than I thought, with nobody out during the day, without the sound of birds or clatter of work."
Van starts cautiously moving up the street, looking for signs of magic.
((Because it is a 10 minute action, pausing for other actions before proceeding with Van's results))
Anahn will walk up to Eleana and Danniell, as they’d stand over the bodies of the two victims. Looking at them on the ground now he feels guilt surge through him at his instinctive looting that Amandil had scolded him for. He’d grown up used to picking at anything that could benefit him, but as he looks at the corpses he feels guilty for the fact that he’d never considered the consequences of his actions.
He appears deep in thought as he approaches and places a soft hand on Eleana’s shoulder, giving her only a small smile and shamed filled look before kneeling down to join her in the prayer. He gives Danniell an apologetic look as he passes the man, and remains at Eleana’s side praying as they wait for Van to finish his scouting. If they finish early Anahn will make sure to keep Van in sight, making sure he doesn’t wander too far off and end up in danger.
Amandil nodded at the suggestion. "I'm good with that. If we can do it quickly we'll save ourselves and everyone else a lot of trouble, I think." He follows behind Van, keeping an eye on their flanks and his crossbow ready.
Eleana pats Anahn after a minute's prayer, looking to Van and Amandil as they proceed ahead. She stands with a push on the ground with her staff, and follows them, with Anahn coming along. Danniel and Ron follow, and Hallamir glances to them a couple times before snatching up a pearl necklace with an emerald. "Just this one?" He turns to catch up.
Moving carefully, you hear distant voices, a mere echo over the buildings. You've performed two minutes of searching, weaving between a few buildings and sweeping along. You spot more blood trails in the street coming out of houses and scattered belongings on the dirt.
As you move along, Amandil first spots another bone warrior from behind- approaching one of the fallen bodies of the defeated bone warriors. The man holds a glave in one hand, kneeling down over the fallen warrior. Van and Anahn spot him right after, as the man glances around your direction, unable to see you. The bone warrior reaches for something on the body on the ground. You are at 60' minimum from him depending on your pace, 90' at most.
Initiative: Bone warrior @ 20, everyone else after. **(If you engage in combat! You do not have to.)**
The Bone Warrior struggles at the body for a moment, then stands with the bone horn in hand. He looks around again, still unable to spot you, and he moves toward your group in a sneak, closing the distance to 50', slinking between buildings on the west side of the road just out of sight.
Anahn will look to his companions and whisper, “We should jump on this soldier and interrogate him for information on why they’re killing unarmed civilians for trinkets!” He says rapidly but quietly as well, he remains in his spot waiting for the party to quickly provide direction. But if he sees the soldier move out of sight he will go to stealthily follow him unless the party specifically says they should leave him alone. In that case he’ll follow their lead.
Stealth (In case the figure moves out of sight):16
Van, Ron, Eleana, Danniell and Hallamir agree, keeping further back from Anahn in a following hush. Anahn peeks around the corner where the bone warrior skulked around, just in time to see him proceed south from the far side of the building. In one hand, the warrior carried the bone horn, his glaive in the other hand. Though he couldn't see you, the man is highly alert, constantly checking his surroundings as he sneaks along. If you're going to assault him, you should do so now.
Eleana draws a clear bottle, and a small handful of purple pedals, immersing it into the potion. She swirls it quickly, and the petals dissolve into the fluid. She looks to Amandil. "This will allow someone to sneak up on ... whatever we're following, quickly. Who should have it?" Eleana will give anyone advantage on stealth for a limited duration.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“I will approach, once I make contact I need you guys to help me secure him. Maybe one of the big boys can help keep ahold of him or perhaps one of our spell casters can cast a spell to incapacitate him. Either way we wrestle his glaive and the horn away, then tie him up. That sound good?” If nobody protests his plan or offers an alternative, Anahn grabs the bottle from Eleana and downs it entirely in one gulp, he’s always enjoyed testing out her elixirs. He flexes his legs and proceeds to move into a low crouch towards the bone warrior,
Stealth:20
Once he gets close enough Anahn springs onto the warrior, calling out to his companions at the same time. He will try to grapple the warrior, but in a way that keeps the warrior close while also keeping the bone horn away from his lips. Lest he sound an alarm and draw reinforcements.
Athletics (for the grapple): 12
However,
If the bone warrior turns before he can get in close enough for a grapple, Anahn will pull Living Link into his right hand and swing at the arm wielding the horn after moving within 10 feet of him.
(Will be attempting non lethal damage so if it’s damage rolls high Anahn doesn’t instantly kill the warrior.)
The warrior keeps looking about as he skulks along, turning at the very last moment as Anahn lunges at him. The man grunts as Anahn grabs his left arm with the horn. He drops the polearm, pushing at Anahn as he tries to break free. (Target is successfully grappled)
The others rush to get closer. Van releases a ray of frost, and Amandil fires his crossbow. (Both hit for 12 combined damage.) With Eleana, Hallamir and Danniell close, Anahn keeps hold of the warrior.
The man struggles to use the horn. Anahn keeps tugging hard, though the warrior does bring it to his lips, he doesn't manage any more than a weak sputter of air. After struggling with each other, Danniell and Hallamir wrest the horn from the man's hands, and you bring him to the ground. He submits.
"Bastards...! There's plenty to plunder without getting in our way! Why did you attack us? What do you want?"
"You murdered those two in the street, right?" Eleana asks.
"W... what? Why do you care? They're all good as dead anyway!"
Eleana kicks dust at the man's face, threatening with her staff.
"Keep your questions and comments silent, young man. This time is especially precious, your life depends on how well you use it. Straighten all thought to answering our questions and only worry of not being concise enough." Ron suggests.
“Who and where were you running off to? Why kill these people, if you sought their items then take them and leave! They were unarmed civilians you disgraceful piece of sh!t!” Anahn spits on the floor right next to the warriors face then continues, “And what is it about this horn that made you pull it off a corpse before you ran like a coward?!” Anahn looks the warrior in the eye as he says this, before going pick up the horn, inspecting it for a tiny or significance.
"I was trying to get away, back to the others. We killed those people because they'd awaken the others- we don't have enough time or rope to tie them all up. They're not ... ah ..." He holds his tongue for a moment, choosing his next words more carefully. "A lot of the houses have weapons. I was going to use the horn to call for help. We know what that kind of horn sounds like."
The horn is an ornamented curved bone horn. It was crafted with care, polished and with a thin layer of glazed stone about the lower half.
"Don't tell me you came to a dying world to grab a few trinkets from some civilians." Amandil glanced momentarily at Anahn, then focused on the captive. "What's your objective here?"
((He will first respond to Amandil's reaction, or will be subjected to Ron's intimidation if ikarbino didn't have something in mind, then answer Anahn's question. His disposition will hinge on the earlier interaction.))
"He's just a soldier, at most. More likely an opportunist. Listen, low-life. Thinking will get you killed. You don't want to think, do you?"
The man shakes his head to Ron. "N...no, sir."
"Good. What is your name, low-life? Āghātakāri grahike." (Shocking Grasp)
"Evork-" He is cut off by Van as he swiftly punches him in the gut, a jolt of white energy running across his body from the impact, causing him to curl while clutching his belly, coughing. (7 damage)
"Its LOW. LIFE. Pay attention to every word. This is the last time I tell you that this time is precious. You don't listen, you die. What will you think about?"
The man gasps, looking up at Van with hatred. "Giving the right answer."
Eleana and Danniell back away with discomfort, but don't protest. "Good. What were you looking for?"
"Precious metals and gems."
"And?"
"Nothing else." He then turns to Anahn as he speaks.
“And who leads you? What is the name of the organization you follow?” Asks Anahn with force in his voice.
"Gishtuk leads us. He's the Hammurabi's Visier. That makes us followers of the Hammurabi." He sneers, but speaks quickly and concisely.
