Jheric will rush to the corner of the nearby building (I22). "You'd better go check that out, Lucy." As his owl takes flight, the wizard's eyes gloss over to a milky white and his vision shifts to that of his familiar flying overhead.

Rixton rushes into the stable, and he can sense the fear of the horses immediately. The sound of wood being broken continues, and from where Rixton stands he can tell that the sound is coming from the northwest corner of the stables.
Mola and Gwin run toward the stables as well; peering to the north, they see nothing. The sound of wood being shattered still reaches their ears.
As Lucy cuts an arc over the stables, Jheric...
...sees two large, hideous, green-skinned humanoids: trolls. The first stands just north of the stable and is making its way toward the stable entrance (ending its turn at B17; the second is attempting to tear through the wooden planks that comprise the stable wall (approximately C8). NOTE: Trolls are not shown on this updated map to prevent the others from metagaming.

"Shit..." Jheric mutters as his sight returns to his own eyes, "Problem. Big problem here! Lucy, cover me from above on the one nearby." His hanging crystal flashes orange like a personal corona of fading sunlight. He takes it into his hands, then sweeps an arm in a long arc, down to his hip, around above his head, then down to the other hip. In the wake of his arm, a half-dozen globes of flame wreath his body. "Trolls! Bring fire to the stables, there are trolls at the inn!" Waving a hand, Jheric launches a pair of his burning motes at the nearest troll to draw it over.

DEX save (vs. Jheric's ranged spell attack) for 1st troll: 21
The troll, looking back at its partner in crime rather than toward the approaching enemy, is unable to make any movement to avoid the incoming spheres of fire, both of which hit the monster with full force.
Rixton sprints past the horses--all of which are stressed but unharmed--to the last stall on his right. He sees an arm and shoulder of a troll that is methodically ripping wooden planks from the structure of the stable. (Ruling that Rixton did NOT throw his axe because so little of the troll was visible)
Mola grits his teeth when he hears Jheric mention trolls. He usually tried to keep his distance when encountering them in the forest - but they didn’t belong in a town. Need to do something about that. Terrible creatures. He got mad. (Bonus action rage.)
He then wildshapes into a brown bear, with a practiced ease, mid-stride. The huge form bounds with surprising speed in the same direction, ending at C20, turning to confront the troll making the wood-breaking noise. He lets out a roar.
Mola, now in bear form, moves far enough north to have a clear view of both trolls. The one tearing through the stable wall stands over 100' to the west; the other troll, however, is merely 30' away. Enraged by the searing pain from Jheric's meteors, the troll strides forward and takes two swings at Mola with its razor-like claws...
First melee claw attack:18 | 12 slashing damage, if successful
Second melee claw attack:11 | 14 slashing damage, if successful
The troll at the northwest corner of the stable rips two more boards from the wall, becoming ever closer to entering the stables.

(Moving 30' north to C24, casting Melf's Acid Arrow: spell attack roll 15 for 11 acid damage. Will take 4 at end of its next turn.)
Following up his volley, Jheric strafes further north for a better angle around Mola. His next spell was already planned: Fire and acid. No matter what, always hit them with fire and acid. He clapped his hands before him and his hanging crystal changed from orange to emerald. As his hands separated, a glowing stream of fluid stretched between them matching the same color as the crystal. Jheric grabbed the fluid, seeming as solid as a javelin, and hurled it at the troll.
It struck true! The brute took the entire bolt square in its chest and staggered. An acrid mist rose from its body as the liquid ate away at its flesh. One more hit, but don't be greedy, he thought. With a quick wave, another of his fiery satellites shot across the yard and burst against the troll. As flames leapt from the explosion, Jheric's other hand curled up and a mirrored shield of blue arose between Mola and the detonation. A final whistle goes up from the wizard as Lucy swoops down to peck at the troll's head, "Mola, There's your opening!"
(Another DC 15 DEX save vs. 4 fire damage, half on save. Using Sculpt Spell to allow Mola to automatically save and take no damage. Lucy will swoop in behind it to C18 and use Help to give Mola advantage on attack.

The two troll attacks easily hit Mola-as-a-bear, but the bear grits his teeth, tenses, and shrugs off half the damage, eyes almost glowing red with absolute rage.

Gwin hears Jheric's announcement of trolls and sees Mola's shape shifting engagement with one of them almost simultaneously. She momentarily glances in the direction of Rixton but decides to make haste toward Molabear as she sees the troll's claws find their mark, but by the time she gets to the northeast corner of the stables (D19) the troll is covered in acid and Molabear appears quite well.
Taking care not to step in any of the acid dripping from the troll she peers around the corner of the stables and can see a second troll ripping wood away from the building. He's trying to get to the horses!!!!
If the second troll took any notice of the northeast corner of the barn, he would see a dwarf, appearing to be halved by the building. He would also see one eye, steely and flashing with resolute intent. He would see one arm raised in his direction, and the fingers at the end of that arm momentarily ball into a fist and then release as if they were throwing a ball, but *that's no ball, instead out from the dwarf's stubby fingers come streaks of light hurtling toward the troll, fixed in their purpose.

DEX save (for troll 1): 6
The first troll emits an eerie-sounding screech of rage after enduring, in quick succession, being splashed with acid, burned with fire, and mauled by a bear. As the troll steps back to give voice to its fury, Gwin's bolt flashes past the monstrous giant's face. More unwavering than ever in its desire to destroy something, the troll, with its flesh yet sizzling and dissolving, turns its attention to the one responsible for the annoying burst of light. Lunging with mouth agape, it first attempts to bite Gwin; then, it swings both of its arms, claws fully extended...
Bite attack: 18 | 10 piercing damage, if successful
1st claw attack: 10 | 6 slashing damage, if successful
2nd claw attack: 22 | 11 slashing damage, if successful
Inside the stable, Rixton swings his handaxe and sends a shower of splinters through the air as the blade shatters one of the boards being pried away by the second troll. Hoarsely, the troll chuckles and says in Giant, "Your horse will be eaten first, little man."
With a powerful leg kick, the troll creates the opening it needs and steps into the stable.
Gwin gives out a loud yelp and grits her teeth as the troll finds its mark on her flesh. Undeterred she turns her attention back to the other foul creature and blows on the ends of her fingers as if she was blowing the dust off of an old book. Must be a bit rusty. Let's give this another try shall we? You know what they say. If at first you don't fricassee, fry, fry a hen!

The second troll is not so fortunate to avoid the cleric's second attack. It staggers backwards a few steps, clawing at its chest where it was struck by the burst of radiance, before collapsing awkwardly to the ground.
"That should do it, nice work!" Jheric rushes out the backside of the stable, hoping to cut off the other troll before it can enter, "Head inside, I'll cut off its exit!"
The wizard rushes up behind Mola (C21) and sends a pair of meteors flying at a high arc. It was a risky shot, but they should be just in range...
(Another DC 15 DEX save for this troll now. Taking 8+9 fire damage, half each on fail. Also using Sculpt Spell to keep flames away from the building squares and/or Rixton)
RETCON: Jheric remains where he is and fires a trail of icy-blue energy (Ray of Frost: Attack 11 for 16 ice damage). The trail would have been a clean hit to the ugly face, but it ducks to move around Mola just before impact. Jheric then follows up by launching a pair of meteors, tracing another minor ward to shield Mola from the blast.
