With a wince, Mithrokk exclaims, “No creature be more ignoble than carrion-feasters and blood-suckers!” Then, realising the elf would herself consume the creatures, his expression softens and says, “I mean you no disrespect; many thanks for your offer. In a time of war mayhap I’d suffer such a meal, but not this day.”
Rastaris waits impatiently for the others to join him.

"One moment, friend Rast. Allow me to help prepare Lath for the journey ahead." Reaching out to Lathalas, Mithrokk grips the elf's shoulder, closes his eyes, and whispers a prayer to his god. After a few moments, he opens his eyes and says to Lath, "Long is the way and hard, that out of darkness leads up to light. My blessing shall be your path. So speaketh the Soul Forger."
Turning then to Rast, "Let us away to Gnomengarde."
Farnakees suggests that Lathalas be the vanguard - or at least use his stealth to scout on ahead and warn of impending doom, or at least identify restrooms along the way....
OOC - Sorry for not posting yesterday, dudes and dudette. Had stuff to deal with here at home. Anyway, here's a photo of the Gnomengarde map; I couldn't scan it, unfortunately.
OOC: Um ... Alianna arrived at that recommendation of eating stirges by way of a low Investigation check ... props for keeping in character and taking a bite, though.
In marching order, the party arrives at Gnomengarde sometime after noon. Using a map, the party follows a stream up to where waterfall erosion has carved out a natural concavity in the mounntain. The roaring waterfall creates a cloud of mist as it plunges into a shallow pool of water, within which rise two islands covered with two-feet-tall red, green, and purple mushrooms. Several cave openings overlook the pool from rocky ledges twenty to thirty feet above. The mountain blocks any sunlight from reaching this place.
OOC: You can walk a narrow footpath that leads to cave G9, or try climbing to another cave entrance. Use the Gnomengarde map as reference for where the party wants to go.
Investigation check on benefits of eating stirges: 1 + 3= 7
OOC: Probably ... the runs. Aaaaand a good amount of iron. No more anemia for those who partake of this feast!
