The Vistani clap with drunken joy at the bard’s very charismatic introductions, all converging on Shayne after to offer congratulations and more free ale or wine. The speech however isn't exclusive to just your new musical friend, it’s also sparked the Vistani’s interest in the rest of the party as well. You each receive a warm welcome equal time Shayne’s, they each offer you all to sit by the fire with them to drink and maybe they’ll tell you one of their best stories!
But not all of them are caught up the revelry, as Attilus remains where he is. Standing still with a smile plastered on his face as he watches them all cheer on a younger looking Vistani to chug a whole tankard in one gulp. He eventually turns to you all after the display with a crooked smirk, then says
“Oh Stanimir sent you brave adventurers to help us? I must send him my eternal gratitude when possible! But nevermind that! If it is a meeting with Madam you desire, than it is what you shall receive. Follow me, it’s the larger, striped tent closer to the water. She will just be resting and won’t mind the company I’m sure.” The flamboyantly dressed man then turns to lead you all toward the tent holding the apparent most powerful seer of this dark, unknown land.
(Does everybody follow, or do some stay with the Vistani to hear their story)
Gadhan is torn. He thinks to himself 'I want to party, and Olidammara demands that I party. But he also has asked me to help the weak, protect them from great evils. I shall go this time.' and Gadhan fallows, along the way he would pick up bottles of liquor along the way.
"We can party after Gadhan if you really wish it." Gekks gives him a small pat on the arm He then turns forward and with a small trace of uncertainty in his eyes he follows

Shayne will certainly take a bow or two and graciously accept any praise that comes his way but he will at the same time try to deflect all attention and adoration onto the rest of the party. In ways he sees himself as a bit of a carnival barker - drawing attention onto himself only so he can redirect it to where he really wants his audiences attention. Shayne accepts several flagons and drinks which are pressed into his hand and seems to partake of them all... But as a general rule Shayne appears to drink much more than he actually does. His role demands he play at being the life of the party, whichever party is happening, but he knows he does his job much better with a clear and sober head.
"The night is dark and full of stories," Shayne says with a smile when Attilus reclaims the attention of all. "Let us hear what the seer sees and then enjoy the company of our new friends til morning. Dawn is early enough to make a new plan..." And with that Shayne will follow into the large tent.
Silent Blade is very clearly uncomfortable with all the attention. She fake sips at her drink with he beak, and winces any time anyone touches her. Her curious eyes dart around the camp and the new Vistani, looking for threats.

The party eventually all gather around and begin to follow Attilus towards the larger striped tent sitting by the riverbed. Some Vistani pout at the rejection but their attention is easily caught once again by the revelry of their camp mates. As Attilus walks you there he says, “I’ve got a good feeling about you lot, I do hope you join us after your meeting!” At this you guys are at the flaps of striped cloth that serve as an entryway, he tells you that she’s inside and then moves to turn back to the main group with a smile on his face.
Entering it seems as if magic flames cast a reddish glow over the interior of this tent, revealing a low table covered in a black velvet cloth. Glints of light seem to flash from a crystal ball on the table as a hunched figure peers into its depths. As the crone speaks, her voice crackles like dry weeds. “At last you have arrived!” Cackling laughter bursts like mad lightning from her withered lips. You find a pale woman sitting with a toothy, yellowed smile hidden under thin lips that seem to stretch from cheek to cheek. She is adorned in the bright, flamboyant clothing you’ve all grown accustom to seeing on the Vistani but it’s not that which catches your attention immediately. No it’s her eyes that draw your focus because they immediately scan you all, meeting your eyes and you feel a shudder pass through your whole body, if ever so slightly. And like a breeze, it’s gone the next second.
She gestures to exactly 5 seats that were already there and seem to already have two that have inherently shorter legs, making sitting much easier for both Gekk and SB. She looks at you all once again before that wide smile returns once again,
“Ooh Gekk you made it! Sorry to tear you away from your business, and I very much thank you for your time!” Her eyes wander towards Shayne, “And Mister McGowan! Your spirit is a rare light in the darkness of Barovia, but keep your hands to themselves while you’re here! I am not as gullible as young, drunk Daggerford guards you hear me?” She says to Shayne with a wink, before rotating and looking to both the party’s ranger and Paladin. She inches closer to you two with an immediately curious glint in her eye and a mischievous smile on her face, “And Sirs Tahnis and Gadhan...Hmm you will probably fit in well with the Vistani won’t you?” Not giving the two men time to answer she ends her tirade landing on the black feathered rogue, “And you Miss, you all then hear (The sound of a blade through flesh)come from her own voice, now you are an interesting one aren’t you. You’ve only just begun! What an fascinating path you will tread..” She then turns back from addressing you all to her spot on the other side of the table holding the crystal ball, and then with another crooked smile asks,
"Madam, I assure you my fingers may be light, but they only pilfer from those who can afford it and deserve it. The Vistani are akin to kin to me, in spirit at least. I would no dream of taking advantage," Shayne assures her, holding his hands up, palms up and empty.
"I am most anxious to see your skills and arts, but I'll beg off from hearing too much about my future. I prefer to believe I master of my own destiny. If I heard you tell me too much of what awaits me I would have to either think I was wrong... Or you were. And both would devastate me," Shayne gives his most charming smile. "So please, tell a fortune... Just not mine."
Tahnis nods at Madam Eva, impressed with her show so far. "Gadhan has certainly fit in something with the Vistani. We are honored to meet you Madam Eva, we've heard great things about you. Yes, I would like my fortune told."

The old woman looks at you all with smile after hearing your responses, and with her teeth now more visible you notice she has several gold molars in her smile. She laughs along with Gadhan at his comment then says,
“Aaaah I understand good friend, we all in one way or another serve a greater being. You don’t need me to tell you what will happen...” You guys then see her stretch long spindly fingers across the silken cloth atop the table, and under her crystal ball. She gestures for you all to take a seat, “Come! Get comfortable! This old lady doesn’t bite!” After you all get comfortable you see her put out all the light within the tent, and you guys are only left illuminated by the faint glow of the crystal you guys hadn’t exactly noticed before. She lights pieces of incense around the room, and you all begin to smell strange but exotic scents that make your eyelids heavy while you feel the blood flow through your brain. She returns to her seat, and seems to take a deep breathe while closing her eyes. When she opens them her eyes are pure black, no iris in sight, and the deep breathes she’s taking along with her erratic hand movements seem to bend the smoke of incense to her will. Forming shapes in the dimly lit darkness of this striped tent. You all see the outline of a tall, cloaked man standing in the middle of a street, the figure of a young woman running down the muddy path before tripping. You can almost hear her screams of terror as the cloaked figure takes several calm steps toward the girl on the ground. Madam Eva’s voice echoes through tent, as if there were several of her saying the same statement. “You enter a dark land filled with broken souls, where our king rules with impunity, he himself the most lost of us all. Our home aches and it’s people cry empty eternal tears at our fate, yet it is not set in stone completely.” She blinks and you all see that her completely black eyes have gone white, as this is noticed she also seems to have a deck of tarokka cards splayed out in front of her. She takes out a small vial filled with clear liquid and seems to apply some it to the deck. The vibrancy of the colors on the tarokka cards seem more vibrant after this. She stares at them all splayed out in front, and seems to pick 5 from them all. She places them in front of you, and then says in her voice of echoes,
“The strings of fate call to you as they do me. We are all eventually called to face the gravity of our own destinies. Would anybody like the honor of discovering their own? What you learn today will guide you through the darkness of Barovia, as you all trek through the lands of the Devil, Strahd.” And then you see her gesture to the 5 cards placed face down in front of you all. You’d all be able to intuit she is waiting for one of you all to turn the cards over for the reading.
Card Placement:
The smoke of the incense seems to have thickened into clouds of shades of gray and white that surround you all, and you swear from the corner of your eyes (all of you individually) just barely see familiar memories or images within the smoke. Nothing too significant but mostly comfortable memories like perhaps for Tahnis he swears that he can smell and see his father cooking within the smoke, gone the next second. Or for Gadhan, who hears and just barely catches what seems to be a laughing mask in the smoke. All of you seem to be feeling or seeing pieces of your lives within the mist, but it’s not blatant and more so at the corner of your perception.
Gekk turns the 1st card over, and you all see this tarokka card face up under Gekk’s small clawed hands. The card seems to shimmer under the dim light granted by the crystal ball at the center of the table.
As the card is turned over you all then see Gekk’s eyes go white as well, and he begins to speak in an echoing voice that seems to reverberate all throughout as if you were in a large cavern.
“This card tells of history. Knowledge of the ancient will help us better understand our enemy.
His arms seem to fold in and hug himself as he stares down at the card with milky white eyes. His next words are spoken in almost a whisper, yet the echo carries his message,
“There is a town where all is not well. There you will find a house of corruption, and within, a dark room full of still ghosts.” Suddenly you feel as if the wind was knocked out of you Gekk’s, and you close your eyes. For the rest of you it appears that Gekk simply blinks and his white eyes return to normal, but for Gekk...
Gekk:
You close your eyes for but a brief second, and open them finding yourself standing in the middle of a muddy road filled with men, women, and children that seem to have strained smiles on their faces. You appear to be in a crowd all looking forward towards a blazing fire, so bright with warmth and light that you wonder why everyone seems so intent on staring at it. The sky appears decayed, grays and blacks hiding the stars in the night. You suddenly hear what appears to be a crack of thunder, and a murder of crows flys over the heads of the crowd gathered. Seemingly out of nowhere, rains begins pouring from the clouds above, and then you begin to hear the mutterings of all those around you who’d previously been silent. They mutter the same phrase,
“All will be well.”
You then feel yourself blink, and the tent of Madam Eva comes into view once again, as you notice Tahnis next to you reach for the second card...
The mist around you all seems to thicken after Gekk reveals the first card, it now seemingly begins to completely envelop the space surrounding both the party and Madam Eva. After seeing your companion pull the first Tahnis, you also reach forward to reveal the card at the top of the formation presented. As you touch it you already begin to feel a sort of vibration and thrum in the thin card, turning it over you feel that vibration sink into your bones, spreading throughout your entire being. It begins to peak as the front is revealed, and you feel your whole being warm from inside to out. You all see this tarokka card,
Tahnis’ long, red hair seems to float above his shoulders, unperturbed by gravity and resembling red, spindly fingers grabbing at the mist. His eyes take up the same milky white shade as Madam Eva and Gekk’s had, and he begins to speak albeit in a much more gravelly, deeper tone that is also echoed.
“This card tells of a powerful force for good and protection, a holy symbol of great hope.“
The mist around you guys seem to quicken, moving as if you guys were at the center hurricane. But you don’t feel the violent gusts that would come with such an event, only finding yourself at what appears to be the eye of the storm.
“A man is not what he seems. He comes in a carnival wagon. Therein lies what we seek. He will provide answers”
Tahnis, the vibration of your bones hasn’t relented throughout the fortune telling, and you now even begin to feel it in your heart, in your eardrums. It begins to blur your vision yet you feel only a comforting numbness, the world slowly escapes you as heavy eyelids fall shut onto each other. The party sees Tahnis slump in his chair after touching the card, his head down for a couple of seconds before you see motion return to him once again. Your ranger friend appears fine, and in a state you’d find someone in who had just waken up. For Tahnis himself however....
Tahnis:
The comforting pull of the rhythm within takes you across the breeze of consciousness Tahnis, you open them and find yourself in the middle of a forest clearing. You see all around appear to be corpses of wolves, ravens, and most shockingly of all the bodies you see dead Vistani lay on the ground. It’s an ocean of blood splayed across the dirt as your eyes scan over a complete massacre. Standing in front of you with their back turned appears to be a lean, humanoid looking figure. A ways off past the figure, there appears to be a carnival wagon with a single broken wheel. But all this detail is not of the most importance compared to what Tahnis’ sees the figure doing at the center of the clearing. It appears to be a half elf bard, with a monkey on their shoulder and he wields a thin but very sharp looking blade. And it is currently buried all the way to the hilt into the body of Adaine. The man twists the blade deeper into her corpse, and she seems to look directly at you as she claws desperately at the air. Her eyes don’t close as you see life leave them. The man begins to turn your direction after throwing her corpse off of his blade while cleaning the blood off the sword and onto his very colorful pantaloons. However right before you see his face, a wave of vibrations rattle over you and you feel yourself opening your eyes to see the tent around you once again.
Seeing two of the party reveal the cards without real damage, Silent Blade turns the the third with some reverence shining in her beady eyes. Immediately upon touching it, you guys see not the white you’d seen encompass both Gekk and Tahnis’ eyes but instead a warm bright light shine from the small Kenku. When the front is revealed you all see this tarokka card,
The maelstrom created by the mist before stops completely, as if it were stopping to take a desperate gasping breathe in recovery. The light from the crystal goes so dim that you all feel yourself lost in the smoke and shadow of this small tent. SB opens their mouth and you guys hear an amalgamation of the voices used by your Kenku companion, as if they were all screaming at you guys at the same time.
“This is a cardof power and strength. It tellsof aweaponof vengeance:a sword of sunlight.”
SB, you then feel a sudden and intense wave a grief come over you, your heart feeling broken and empty as you feel nothing but intense cold. The light shining from SB’s eyes dims, and takes on a dark blue tint that darkens the room more so than lights it up. Sorrow fills your thin frame as the feeling of abandonment and anger at the unjust nature of fate overtakes you suddenly, the next words flow from SB lips in the voice of an unrecognizable but sorrow filled young female,
”Find the mother — she who gave birth to evil.”
The cold begins to fill every sense of your being Silent Blade and you feel yourself curl into yourself on your seat after turning the card over. The party sees SB shivering on her seat with her eyes closed for a second, before they open once again.
Silent Blade:
As you close your eyes, you feel the cold hands of death take you into his palm. Next thing you know you feel the sensation of laying on a cold, stone surface. Opening your eyes you find yourself alone, and see dim light shining through stained glass windows onto two coffins resting atop white marble slabs. You feel yourself fall to the ground in grief, despair, and anger at the feet of the these coffins. Your heart breaks for these people yet you’re not sure why. Right as you close your eyes to wipe a tear from your face you open them and find yourself back in Madam Eva’s tent.
Gekks still in a bit of a daze pulls out a small pad and takes note of the words that had been said. He then shakes his head out of the daze he looks across the faces of his companions and then back at the cards. He then looks to Madam Eva. Through the smoke he sees faces and hears voices hes heard in his past They still judging me, even when they're just voices He thinks to himself This is all way too creepy, theres no way this is real right? Gekks gives a small half smile to Madam Eva "I, uh, suppose if no one else is..." He reaches for the next card

“This is a card of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of vengeance: a sword of sunlight.”
