Aluzira nods in agreement. 

"But will we have coin to buy the stuff with?"  Fluin asks.  "Do you have a sponser there, or just able to find what we need easier?" 

"I have a bit'a coin, but not much.  I know that potions can be pricy, but we may be able to get some other supplies.  I know nothin' of a sponsor yet, but I'm lookin.  Does anyone else know of any potential patrons?'"  Torrent looks around.

“The lord’s militia may be able to reward us, IF we can show results but if you need supplies before we leave” Rowan rustles around in a small chest on a table, “I can give each of you 1 GOLD and 2 SILVER as pre payment. I’ll be honest, the militia captain has denied my request to hire adventurers every time I’ve brought it up, but I really think, if we can bring back the heads of these giant toads and set them right at the lord’s feet, we might be able to get the Lord to be our patron.”

“Also I have some stuff at my house that I can sell, or trade for whatever we might need to start.”

Tarek agrees. "If you think about it, we could just pool in all our money, and buy as many potions as we need now. Then, after we've slain a few giant toads, we can always go back for more."

"I am fairly certain, if we pool all of our coin, we could possibly afford a single healing potion, but I question how much use that would be for the entire group of us."  Fluin says with a shake of his head.  "I think Rowan has the right of it.  Let us do what we can, with what we have now, and when we bring back results to prove our worth, then we can look at buying things like healing potions and the like."

"That makes sense.  Both plans do actually..."  Aluzira says.  She starts absent mindedly fiddiling with her flute.  "I will have to stop by my place either way, to pick up my pack.  It's in Steepgulch.  I could look at potions while I'm there and see how much they are."

"Can we go then?!" Anakis jumps up. "I really want to go and do something! And..." she looks around somewhat shy and slightly uncomfortably, "... there's too many guards here."

"Lovin' the enthusiasm!  Yes, I think we should be able to make it to Steepgulch before dusk.  If we kin find some potions for cheap, we should grab 'em, but what may be less expensive and nearly as useful is antidote for some of the poisons out there.  We'll be able to go into the Bog from there the next day."

“Great!”  says Aluzira with a smile.  

"Seems like a plan then."  Fluin says with a grin to the group.  "Let's head out then."

“Then it’s settled. We’ll stop off at steepgulch then head into the bog to hunt down some giant roads” Rowan claps her hands together. “Before we leave, would it be possible to get some introductions, I recognize a few of your faces, but if we are going to be putting our lives on the line, it’s important to me to know who those lives are. My name is Rowan LeMort, I’m a militia soldier here in Ekuepool. I have some spellcasting abilities, and a good working knowledge of tactics.”

"Ah, right.  I'm terrible with manners and such.  I'm Torrent Dallern.  I'm one of the Shepherds of the Bog.  I wander around and tend the wildlife in the marshes.  I have access to some magics, but I have little knowledge on tactics and fighting, outside of hunting.  I know the swamp fairly well, but there is always more to learn.  My goal will be to keep all of us alive to reach the toads."

Tarek smiles. "Ahh, yes. Steepgulch it is. And I do quite agree with Fluin and Rowan." After Rowan and Torrent introduce themselves, Tarek speaks up. "I know that most of you do not know me well, and I do not know most of you well, so, like Rowan said, it is for the best that we get to know the people we will be fighting alongside. I am Tarek Johanssen, and I hail from the temple district. I have practically spent my whole life in the shrine, so I know quite a lot about religion, but not much about anything else. I have been trained well in weaponry and tactics, and I do have some healing abilities, but my main goal is to aid all of you with Pelor's holy light."

” My name is Aluzira, I don’t believe I have a surname.  I’m good at playing music to inspire others, and know some useful spells.  I can also find my way around a library.  But that’s about all... I’ve never been in a fight, and I’m not good with words or negotiating, as far as I can tell.

"My... my name is Anakis"  She shyly says standing up in the corner. She absent minded-ly strokes her shirt, where Custard is curled up inside while keeping hidden. "I've seen a few of you around Steepgulch before, but you would never have seen me. I can cast some really cool spells and stuff, but I'm still learning how to use them."

Anakis looks at the door, wishing for everyone to start making for it so that she can get out of this place.
