Aluzira follows close behind Anakis as they make there way through the seemingly endless tunnels. As they descend further down she shivers At the sight of the webs. She looks curiously over Anakis’ shoulder at what Torrent pointed out, “Do you think it’s a trap?”
Anakis nods, "These spider webs are new. It's been mouldy and lots of fungus up until now. And the breeze... where does that come from?" She scratches her head for a moment while she thinks, then turns to the others, "I'll go have a look, but I'll try not to touch the webs. I know what spiders are like, they might come looking for food if we touch the web." She creeps forward, carefully avoiding any webs that she nears. As she gets closer to the hole in the floor, she gets down and crawls over and peeks down (Perception: 6, not sure if you want another Sneak roll, but just in case: 16).
(OOC - Bah! She's sneaky but so not observant haha)

Stepping off the bottom step to have a closer look at the hole, Anakis, you hear something click in the floor beneath you, and a spear is suddenly thrust upward through the hole at you.
(OOC - No dex save? Damn that hurt too! Almost a one hit KO.)
Anakis falls back, hurting really badly and only just conscious. "So, looks like they've really trapped this place. Maybe, be careful where you put your feet."
Anakis, reading the last few posts back, I'm not sure if I correctly understood your intent. Did you mean to come down off the step to look into the hole (thus setting off the trap), or were you meaning to peek down from the safety of the step you and Torrent were standing on?
(OOC - Sorry if I wrote it confusingly. I did mean to carefully come down off the steps and try to peek through the hole since there's been new rooms and areas down each hole in the floor we've come across. But her perception is rubbish so missing the trap makes total sense.)
Okay, good, just so we’re on the same page. For the record, I didn’t want this to be a “gotcha!” moment and was trying to telegraph the presence of a trap with Torrent’s warning. Hopefully, I achieved that.
I certainly wasn’t trying to trick anyone with all the little holes around this dungeon That was a total accident!
Returning to the action, there’s enough room on both sides of the spear now sticking out of the floor to walk around.
Anakis, although severely winded, has come away with only a firm jab from the point of the spear.
"I'm alright," Anakis gasps, "Just. I wasn't expecting that and missed it. There's quite a few traps down here, between the spike pit and now stabbing spears. We'd better watch our step." She slowly gets to her feet, leaning on her knees once on her feet to try to get her breath back.

Aluzira breaths a sigh of relief before placing her hand on Anakis’ shoulder casting Cure Wounds for 9 hit points. “I hope this helps, and I’ll definitely keep my eyes out for further traps.” True to her word she watches out for anything that stands out or could indicate a trap once they start moving.

Anakis takes a deep breath as she feels invigorated by Aluzira's healing. She nods, "Thank you Aluzira. We definitely got more than we bargained for down here. I thought we'd just see some undead. But instead we find halflings, bugs, adventurers and lizards, and..." she looks at the webs and shudders, "now giant spiders."
She too, moves forward carefully. Making sure to move around the trap she had just sprung and keep an eye out for any others (Perception: 3 and Stealth: 15).
(OOC - oh man. We are having some woeful rolls lately haha!)
Torrent also searches for traps as the group moves ahead, even tapping the stone with his staff from time to time to make sure it’s solid. He lets everyone know that it looks safe for the moment.
As the T intersection ahead of you is approached, you can see that to the right the corridor comes to a dead end. To the left it continues on and you can hear the distant sound of running water echoing through the hallways. Spiderwebs are everywhere.
Assuming the party goes that way, the hallway jogs to the right after a short distance and then turns to the left, and after running straight for a bit it opens into a large empty rectangular room with a thirty foot high ceiling. The webs here are quite large, but there’s no sign of the spiders that made them.
Across the room, which is about sixty feet, there are two wide halls. The one on the left continues straight for a short way and then turns to the left. The other runs ahead and to the right. The sound of a rushing underground river emanates from its dark mouth.
To your right, the entire wall of the chamber opens into an enormous forty foot wide hall with a row of columns running down its center, holding up its vaulted ceiling. It’s wide aisles run back and to the right, disappearing into the darkness.
"Hmm. As much as I'm tempted to follow the noise of water," Anakis says with a scratch of her head, "I'm thinking we're more likely to find interesting things that way." She points to the right, down the wide chamber with its vaulted ceiling and column-lined walls. "That way seems to be quite official, maybe even ceremonial. We might find something interesting down there."
“Agreed,” Aluzira says her voice full of awe at the sight of the chamber. Then glancing towards the sound of running water, asks, “Should we fill our water skins here before continuing on though?”

Anakis taps her lip with a finger tip while she thinks. "Maybe. But we don't know how far away the water is. But I guess that sounds kind of close. Alright, let's get some water first then."
Anakis will carefully and slowly move towards the sound of water flowing (Stealth: 22 and Perception: 15).
Crossing the large chamber past the opening to the columned hall, you can see, Anakis, that down at its end there appears to be a wide flight of stairs climbing to a higher level.
A short way up the hallway filled with the noise of gurgling water, you come to a small chamber. Directly to the left is an opening into a great tunnel, about sixty feet across. The gravel floor of the tunnel slopes down to the bank of a quick-moving river, which blocks the way forward. Across the river, a path follows along its bank to the left, and after another short distance, the tunnel ends in another T intersection with one passageway going left and another going right.
To the right are three openings. Through the one that's closest, you can see that after a short distance is another stairway going up. Whatever is through the other two openings is hidden from view unless you move forward into the room.
In the center of the chamber, a circular stairway curves down through the floor in a clockwise direction.
Gigantic spider webs continue to be visible throughout the area.

"Water," Anakis whispers to the others, looking around nervously. "But I don't like all these webs everywhere. I say we get water and head down those stairs. There are stairs heading up just over there, so that must be our way out later I guess. I'll sneak over and see if I can see what's down those other halls on the right."
Anakis sneaks across to the right wall, then carefully moving along it, avoiding spiderwebs as she goes. Stopping at each hall to look down it and see what is there (Sneak: 17 and Perception: 4).
Looking down the first hallway, you hear the sound of running water and can see that after about thirty feet, the floor is broken by the channel of a dark river that issues from a black tunnel that seems to have broken through the far wall.
The second hallway is also full of moving water. The wall which may have once separated the two halls has been eroded through, and the river continues across the hall through s gorge filled with a tumult of overturned paving stones which has undermined the wall to the left, through which it exits.
Anakis whispers to the others, "More water. I'm going to fill up my water skin and flask before we go on." She kneels down near the water, but tries to keep reasonably dry as she fills her canteens.
