The toad holds onto Tarek single-mindedly while taking a blow from Fluin's rapier.

Torrent, the toad is 30 feet away from you, grappling Tarek in its giant mouth, while Fluin and Aluzira stab at it from either side.

The toad you were fighting is now more than 20 feet away from you and retreating in the direction of the pond.

Torrent starts swearing under his breath. He knows that they'll have to hunt down these toads again, which is infuriating. 

He looks back and forth between the one he's been scrapping with and the one eating Tarek. "Bah. Okay. "

How hurt is the one fleeing us? How many are fleeing? Finally, is difficult terrain between Torrent and Tarek?

The one fleeing from you doesn't show any visible signs of being hurt. The only one that looks hurt, besides the one trying to eat Tarek, is the one who fled from Aluzira and Ulben, which has several bruises and is bleeding from where its hide was punctured.

All five besides Tarek's toad are fleeing, although the two that fled from you and Fluin don't seem as panicked as the others.

The marshy ground between you and Tarek, 25 feet from you, is difficult terrain.

Believing it is better to hunt down five than to hunt down six toads, Torrent starts striding towards the one eating Tarek.  We'll have to salvage this chaotic mess of a response later.  Shameful, Torrent.  You led these folk on a merry chase for sure.

Torrent will use Thorn Whip on the toad eating Tarek, after moving 15 feet toward it.

Okay, but you'll have to drop your quarterstaff to free up your hand to retrieve your mistletoe to cast your spell.

That's fine.

The toad side-steps your thorn-covered whip, and continues to focus on gobbling down its meal.

Anakis, the toad that's getting ready to try to swallow Tarek is now 40 feet from you. Torrent is giving it half-cover, but should you miss, his shield would deflect any missile you fire at the toad. By moving to the right 10 feet or so, you can get a clear shot. All the other toads are moving away at distances between 30 and just under 120 feet.

Anakis moves to get a better shot, moving in the same direction as the fleeing toads with the plan of continuing the chase. She fires a Fire Bolt at Tarek's toad (Attack: 21 Damage: 1). After she fires off the bolt, she continues to chase the toads with whatever movement left to take.

The fleeing toads are all generally headed in the direction of the pool of water, and moving in that direction will take you back through the dense thicket, giving your attack advantage. Is there a specific toad you wanted to follow?

(No specific one, just trying to keep up with the fleeing roads & definitely don’t want them getting more than 120ft away, preferably less than 60ft)

Your current path will take you towards the left bank of the pool after you cross through the thicket. Would you like to check for critical damage on your fire bolt as you disappear back into the dense brush?

Your mote of fire flies between Torrent and Fluin, striking the toad's front flank. It nevertheless continues to grip Tarek mercilessly.

The other toads continue their retreat. Anakis' toad hops out of the thicket and past the pool on its right, continuing into the trees beyond. Torrent's toad makes it to the pool and begins to swim across. Fluin's toad leaps into the pool and swims across, making it to the other side. The toad that ran after being hit by Aluzira's dagger throw leaps through the trees on the far side of the pool, disappearing from view. And the toad that Ulben and Aluzira fought together swims across the pool and hops up onto the bank on the other side.

Tarek's toad widens its mouth momentarily and chomps down on Tarek attempting to swallow him whole. Swallow: 13

Tarek's chainmail gets caught in the giant frog's throat as it fails to swallow him, but he is still held in the creature's grip.

Tarek, to free yourself, you can make a DC 13 Strength check.

Also, what does Ulben the cook do?

(Welp.. clearly the dice gods want to kill me.)

Ulben screams as he runs to hide behind Fluinb bur as he gets close he trips and rolls as he goes into the roll he grabs his stick with both hands and it comes flying down to the head of the toad, as he finishes his roll to his but his feet going flying out as a kick at the toad.
