Torrent struggles to maintain his new, but fleeting sense of consciousness.  As the toad starts to swallow him, Torrent attempts to struggle.  Unfortunately, his new wound twinges, causing a spasm.  By the time Torrent recovered, he was already being forced down the giant toad's throat.  And me with no knife...  He screams in rage, and he casts Thunderwave from inside the toad.  The toad must succeed on a Con Save (13) or take 3 Thunder Damage.

Suddenly, the giant toad's body inflates to almost twice its normal size, and its eyes bulge nearly out of its head. The swelling quickly concentrates into its vocal sack which almost bursts before a thunderous croak erupts from its open mouth, echoing across the bog.

The toad does not seem pleased.

Tarek is 10 feet from the toad, and Aluzira is 15 feet from it (and 10 feet from the other toad). What do you each do?

Aluzira's eyes widen in surprise as the toad swells up before letting out its loud croak.  Grasping her daggers tightly in hand, she runs straight at it, and strikes with both daggers. 

Attack: 24 Damage: 6

Attack: 12 Damage: 1

Tarek follows suit with Aluzira, and runs around the toad to the other side, where he will try to use his rapier to carve Torrent out of the toad. "Hold on, Torrent. We're getting you out of there!" (Attack: 11 Damage: 6)

The toad is hit by Aluzira's daggers and Tarek's rapier and begins to move like it's being worn down, but doesn't seem to waver in its stubborn resolve to continue to fight so it can get on with digesting its meal in peace.

In light of Ulben's intent having been clarified, on his last turn he attacked Fluin's toad while still grappled by Fluin, hitting it with his shoulder and stick. The toad went into a panic as the stick came down, and as Fluin released it to go help Torrent, it leaped away from Ulben into the wood and is now 35 feet from him.

Ulben, it's now your turn again. You're over 45 feet from Torrent's toad (around which the rest of the group is clustering) and 35 feet from your own. What do you do?

Anakis, you're within reach of Torrent's toad, standing with Aluzira on your left. What do you do?

Anakis, still fuming at the toad that ate Torrent, cast's Witch Bolt at it, using her inspiration to help. Attack: 18 Damage: 9

The arc of lightning sparks and holds between her hand and the toad. She twists her hand and slowly grasps it into a tight fist as she focuses on holding the arc between them (concentration held on the spell).

(gotdang, I don't know what you cast but you cast it well. I'm glad I'm on your side)

"Leave this one to me," Anakis growls as she focuses on holding the lightning arc, "I've got this, I think. There's still a couple of these ugly things running away!"

If I get an attack of opportunity if not no big deal. Attack: 18 Damage: 5

On his turn Ulben will run to the toad that was next to him.  If he can get next to it he will attack by slipping and sliding feet first kicking the toad in the leg, and then swinging his stick in a frantic way to hit the toad in the back.

Attack: 8 Damage: 5 stick.  Attack: 21 Damage: 6

If he can not reach the toad for melee, he would pull out a kitchen knife (a dart with flavor) and throw it at the toad.

Attack: 20 Damage: 4

Ulben, the curtains of vegetation that hang between you and your opponent obstruct your view, denying you the opportunity to attack as it leaps away. By chasing after the toad through the difficult terrain of the dense wood, you come within 20 feet of it, but your thrown knife misses its mark.

Blue lightning courses through the giant toad's body causing smoke to rise from its wart-covered back and head, filling the wood with the now-familiar aroma of roasted toad. After a moment of convulsions, it's clear that the toad is dead as it collapses onto the roots and vines that choke the ground. 

With the eater of Torrent vanquished, Fluin turns back to help Ulben chase his toad, dashing off through the wood towards him.

The remaining toads continue to flee. Ulben's toad makes two great jumps forward, landing 60 feet away from him. Tarek's toad continues in the opposite direction, out onto the marsh. It can be seen also jumping twice and is 90 feet from Tarek by the end of its turn. The third toad remains undetected, hidden in the wood you know not where.

Torrent, the toad's body insulates you from the electrical current that courses through it. As the toad falls dead, you can see daylight coming through its open mouth and find you are able to move towards it. What do you do? 

Also, Anakis, if there's any movement you'd like to take after the toad falls dead, you can do that now.

Torrent will struggle to get out of the toad peeling back that godforsaken orifice, angry that he got eaten and could do little else than make the thing burp. "I try ta bring some balance back ta this bog and the blasted critter gobbles me up like a dang bug. No justice in the world."

Torrent will try to chase after the frogs hopping away. 

Anakis will chase after the nearest visible toad, preparing to try and cast a spell once she has recovered from her last action (ie, waiting for next turn.)

The only toad that's visible is the one leaping across the marshlands. The other two are in the wood, hidden from view by curtains of foliage. By climbing over the body of the toad you just fried, Anakis, you can make a beeline towards it. At the end of its move, it's about 90 feet away from you.

Upon sliding out of the dead toad's mouth, Torrent, your hand comes to rest on your sprig of mistletoe lying where you dropped it. Anakis seems inclined to chase the toad hopping across the marsh before you, while Fluin and Ulben chase their toad in the opposite direction, deeper into the dense wood. There was also a toad that hid itself in the wood and hasn't been found. Which toad are you intending to chase?

Aluzira and Tarek, with Torrent now free of the toad, what do you both want to do? The toad on the marsh is 90 feet from Tarek, and the toad being chased by Ulben and Fluin is even farther, too far to be heard, although your two companions are near enough to locate. Clarifying questions are also welcome.

"Are you alright?" Aluzira asks Torrent as he climbs out, glad to see he's still alive.  (She will follow Anakis if either Torrent, Tarek, or both follow Ulben and Fluin; If they both follow Anakis she will follow Ulben and Fluin.)

Tarek will just watch the toads hopping away, more concerned about Torrent than the toads. He'll help Torrent out of the dead toad's body. Tarek sighs and sits down as he contemplates how they're going to have to do yet another battle with the toads later on. "Here we are again. How long must it take to get rid of six toads?"

Two toads lay dead in the dense grove of redwoods.

Torrent, it seems that what Aluzira does depends on what you do. There are at least two toads hopping away in opposite directions. You can't be sure about the third. It seems that Tarek is voting to stay put as you chase after them.

Aluzira, as long as we're covering contingencies, what will you do if only one follows Anakis? Of course, there are other possibilities as well.

(That was a tough question lol.  I think she would follow Anakis.)
