The warrior gives you a hard stare, Ulben, as he tugs on the braids of his beard. "Thou art Thea's husband?" he asks, with an incredulous gleam in his eye.
"Aye, I hath met thy jointress, half-elf. The lady wast in the company of these hunters," he says, gesturing to the people in the cage, "at which hour those gents wast captured. We would has't held that lady too for fear that the lady would rouse the city folk against us, but the lady assured us the lady would never wend back to the city because the lady's only desire wast to wend as far hence as the lady could..." He trails off as he turns to stare at you again with a broad smile on his face. "...from thee!" he chortles and cackles with laughter, as he enjoys breaking the sad news to Ulben.
"So I alloweth her wend where the lady wouldst," he says. "Anon wend backeth the way thee cameth and passeth by mine village no more lest thee beest thrown in the pool at which hour the moon is full." And he begins to move to block your way. What do you do?
The sun sets and the full moon begins to rise over the bog. Assuming that Tarek and Anakis continue to press on for another hour through the cold evening to rejoin the rest of the party, despite Anakis' exhaustion, can both of you please make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw?
Once Anakis and Aluzira have made up for their deficit, and the remaining water has been shared around, everyone has a half-full water skin, or in Anakis' case a quarter-full water skin and a full flask.
"Ulben, How did your search go?" Aluzira askes Ulben as he makes his way back to camp. Afterward, she starts gathering firewood for the night looking around occasionally to see if Anakis and Tarek had come back yet. Hopefully, they would be back before too long. When she sees them coming back, she greets them with a wave. "Any luck? You were out there for a while; you didn't run into anything, did you? I think I found most of the weapons; I couldn't get Fluins Javelin from the ice, though. Also, I didn't know whose was whose, so I set them all on the mound together." She adds, pointing to them. She will offer to take the first watch or the second if Anakis is already on the first watch.
Tarek will try to help Aluzira light a fire (Survival: 9) in order to make everyone warm and comfortable tonight. He offers to take the last watch if no one has volunteered already. "We found everything well enough. Sorry to keep you guys wondering and worrying about us." Tarek lets out a little chuckle.
"Thanks for the water," Fluin says gratefully to Anakis and Tarek. "I think I should keep resting for now, but I should be good to join Anakis on the second watch or Tarek on the third. I figure Torrent's in the same boat," he says, looking over at the druid recovering from his ordeal. "So I guess that leaves you," he says to the cook, "to help Aluzira watch over us tonight. It sure is cold." He wraps himself in his bedroll and curls up close to the fire.
A moment later he rolls back over and says, "Hey, does anyone else smell that?" A faint but nauseating odor registers on everyone's nostrils at once, wafted across the bog on the light air.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Probably more Bright Spirit Kin, I can't think of anyone else who might be living here," Aluzira says in response to Ulben. She wonders what happened out there to make him think that, but isn't entirely sure how to ask just yet, so she lets it go. In reply to Tarek, she says, "That's good to hear; It's no bother just glad you guys got back before it got too late and without running into something," She adds with a smile, "that's always a bonus."
Aluzira nods in response to Fluin the last fight with the Toads was pretty rough especially on him and Torrent. When he asks about the smell she replies "Yeah, I do," and stands up looking around trying to see what might be causing it. "Please be harmless," she whispers to herself.
There isn't anything perceivable in the immediate area, but the faint stench comes and goes, borne on the wind, perhaps from some distance.
"Whatever it is," Fluin says sleepily, "I'm going to get some shut-eye. I'll join you on the third watch Tarek."
The nearly-full moon climbs through the clouds moving across the sky, sending down beams of moonlight through the gaps. The night grows noticeably colder as the hard freeze deepens. Over the course of the first and second watches, the faint stench in the air grows stronger and stronger. Several hours before sunrise, as Tarek and Fluin, refreshed after his rest, are keeping watch by the campfire, the offensive odor becomes almost unbearable. It seems to be coming from somewhere in the darkness out on the marsh.
"That's godawful!" whispers Fluin. "I wonder what's causing it. I feel like I can barely breath. Maybe I should go investigate."
The grizzled warrior glances over at the captives in the cage, stroking his beard thoughtfully.
Make a DC 10 Charisma (Persuasion) check.

After another hour of walking, Ulben, you find your way back to where Aluzira, Torrent, and Fluin are waiting with the evening sun low in the west.
Tarek and Anakis, after carrying the water for an hour through the bog to rejoin the rest of the group, you find you're about half way there.
Ulben, Tarek, and Anakis, make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw to avoid gaining a level of exhaustion.

Anakis Con Save: 22
Wherever we make camp, Anakis will find a tree to climb for her watch during the night (perception: 2), wrapping her blanket around her.

Tarek, trying to hold his breath in increments to avoid the stench, responds to Fluin, "Maybe it's a good idea if one of us stays behind."
