Basho sits down to wait, patting the travel bag sat by his feet.
‘I’ll wait here with the young lady while the rest of you finish your preparations, I try to always be ready to go where the wind blows.’
He looks over to the young woman. ‘What more can you tell us of these terrible events?’ he asks.

"The invasion started with a noble from the neighbouring Kingdom's soldiers attacking the soldiers at the main gates of the kingdom a few months ago then it slowly escalated to now having their Kingdom's forces occupy my homeland's capital and selling those who weren't either killed nor weren't able to escape as slaves."
[You notice that she had started to frown as she answered your inquiry.]
Akome seems to be new to the thought of war, as the small settlement he ran was far from the Oni or Kitsune races. He sits aboard the carriage as well, staying quiet as the moment seems to warrant it.
Akome stows a Greatsword, and with his mannerisms, one can tell it is forged from his devotion. The crossguard is elegantly made, a parody of a bastard sword crossguard that fits well into the blade's aesthetic and weight. He still has to use two hands, but the metal used is reliably less heavier while also being harder to break on its flat. The pommel is of good craftsmanship with a couple of designs that indicate it is Akome's, and finally, the blade itself is—extravagant. Not masterwork, but it does carry a sense of a just cause.
Seeing that the topic is not of his accord, Akome moves out of the carriage slightly afterwards, taking a breathe as his crimson eyes gaze up to the sky.
Basho clears his throat, suddenly gone hoarse. Then, with a quiet intensity, ‘I do not know what we will achieve, or what we will face, but we will be as the storm winds. We cannot undo all they have done, but we will break them and scour them from your land...’ As he speaks the air stirs into life around him, setting anything loose in the vicinity swirling as if responding to the intensity of his emotions, stopping abruptly as he finishes speaking, and bows to the woman, more deeply than before.

[The carriage slowly started moving forward, leaving behind the area that you were just shopping for supplies at, as the carriage started to go beyond The Kingdom of Shin's main kingdom gates, you notice that the path on the outside of the kingdom was indeed a dirt-paved road, clearly showing signs of heavy use over the years. The road that you were now on was located at a valley with many other carriages possibly have fellow travelers or merchants as their passangers.]
Blue Eyes stares outside of the carriage, glancing at the dirt road. "I'm curious to the many journeys that went on this road."
As the carriage continued it's travel along the dirt-paved road, the unnamed kitsune noticed that something was out of place. She quickly stops the carriage by the said of the same road and a announces:
"Something seems off here."
A hobgoblin jumps down from a tree that was by the path in front of a cart.
With it's weapon already unsheathed, it said: "Give me all of your gold!"
(OOC: Is it an open-topped carriage, or enclosed? If the latter, he’ll have been sat outside where we can feel the wind.)
Basho immediately looks around to see if the Hobgoblin is alone. Eddies of breeze start to stir around him.

Eek. Who gave me those dice?!
[It's one that you would see in the wild west, the on with the curved roof thing on it. It has also been a day and a half since the journey had begun.]
[By the time you found the hobgoblin, it had already been only a few more steps away from the carriage, with the unnamed kitsune already engaging it with a longsword that she had somehow hidden underneath her cloak.]
When the opportunity presents, and not seeing any other protagonists, Basho casts Ray of Frost (Spell attack: 17). (Damage: 7)
[Seeing you cast your spell, the kitsune quickly dodged out of the way, your spell affects the hobgoblin's speed, making it more easier to attack. It's movement speed has now been lowered to 20ft from 30ft.]
Salgim comes bursting out of the carriage in his tiny sparrow form. His wings beating quickly he flys just to the roof of the carriage, before changing back to human form with his longbow in hand. Standing, he pulls free an arrow from the quiver on his back and fires at the hobgoblin!
Attack: 12 Attack: 17 Damage: 6
((first attack counts (12) not the (17) though i know they both miss, i jacked up the damage roll some how and had to try and fix it))

Takayano Akome
Akome, for the better-end of the trip, has been sleeping at a decent depth, perhaps it could be from the stress of going all the way out here with no one to guide him, or the recent ongoings, but he slept.
His sleep is silent, and unnoticeable by those in battle; however, only after the sound of bells, does he lurch forward in a haze of sight, "What—is happening?" after a deep yawn, Akome stumbles out of the carriage to see that battle has already begun, unbeknownst to his senses. His vision takes a moment to clear, and a hand is now on the ornate greatsword scabbard by the right side of his belt.
Initiative: roll value- 16
He has enough reaction time to bring out the greatsword, with intention to incapacitate the opposing hobgoblin.
[Are they within 30ft of the carriage? If not, redact the roll below]
The ornate greatsword of Akome's making comes to make contact with the hobgoblin, he is able to swing it precisely with one hand, but has to use the other to guide it. His strength and proficiency with such devastating weapon is quite well, despite his appearance.
Greatsword attack((Non-lethal)): roll value- 20 damage roll: roll value- 11

We aren't actually using initiative here since its a PBP which means anyone could reply at any time (forgot to mention). And also it isn't the bells on the carriage. The bells i was talking about were the ones on the unnamed kitsune's kagura suzu item (it's kind of like a staff in this campaign.).
((Oh. I did a self-imposed initiative to see whether he would have the ability to react fast enough, as for the bells, will note that down for later. He would still have woken up, I think))
