‘She still fired the arrow Salgim, still nearly started a fight with us in the middle.’
Basho uses Gust to create something like a mini-cyclone around Salgim and the woman, totally harmless - but they’ll see the leaves swirling in a ring around them.
’Please don’t try and cross that barrier...’ he says
"Do you see!" Salgim exclaims. As he does so, he gestures with the hand holding tight around her wrist, jutting the woman's own hand around, though not roughly, at Basho, and the whirlwind surrounding them.
"Salgim is admittedly, a tad boorish. But, never a brute! Madam has done her best impression of a trouble maker, then asks why she is treated as such." His tone more apologetic than he actually felt.
Peering through the leaves whirling in the cyclone around them towards the side of the cottage Salgim says, "Just a moment more, and all will be sorted. Salgim does not think the Viscountess will harm you."
"Er, Viscountess? Should we be alarmed about this person? It seems like you may know them, but should I still and the others be cautious?" He says in rather confused speech, walking briskly to catch up to the Viscountess before following her pace. By an obvious glance, it seems as though the tension in his body quickly evaporated at the thought of a familiar person that the Viscountess might know and recognize as an ally, but still it brings the thought along to him of why that person had tried to injure one of the scouts when they approached the barricade. Nonetheless, he catches up on his pace and leads the Viscountess to the cottage not far from where they are.

Viscountess Haru: "So it is like I thought...."
She put two fingers on her temple as if she suddenly got a migraine out of nowhere before saying: "Didn't I tell you to stay at the village? Do you really not want to be able to eat any supper?"
The demon girl immediately responded to the Viscountess' voice, like a child being scolded by his/her parent after doing something wrong. Her eyes met with the Viscountess' as the scolding continued.
After a minute or two, the scolding finally ended with the assailant in a tantrum like a child not getting what it wanted.
"But master! I am more capable than those men that you want to ask for aide!" The demon girl, now on her knees started to sob.
(Additional players would be great since a 2-party dynamic might not be a good idea. Perhaps we could keep it two party and maybe introduce some more people when we get to the next milestone or village we come across so as to keep it normal for now?))
The world of Ranka used to be a peaceful one that is eastern in appearance, with the races; Kitsune residing in The kingdom of Oksa in the South, Oni residing in The Kingdom of Jigoku in the East, Hengeyokai residing in The Kingdom of Shin in the West, and Tengu residing in the mountains; north of The Kingdom of Oksa, living in coexistance together without conflict...
Until one day, the King of The Kingdom of Jigoku; Thalgroz the Conquerer started an invasion, starting with the Kingdom of Oksa, which started has started a war.
(Players may only choose the races: Tengu, Oni, Kitsune, and Hengeyokai as their player races which are from the previous/current official DnD campaigns.)

Please reply with your character sheets if you wish to join. (Please use dnd beyond's character sheet maker for it so its easier for me to access them.) [Note: if your character isn't a race that's one of the three then it doesn't count as a application for joining. (Half-breeds are allowed but must be half-half of one of the four (ex: tengu-oni)]
(Hey, I would like to give this a shot. I'm fairly new to 5E, only having played it for a while after it released and then I moved onto another system called Open Legends. Regardless I think I can pick it up fairly quickly. I have a few questions though. Do we start at level 1? What are the restrictions on source material? Is Unearthed Arcana available to use? Also what should I take into consideration when making my background? There isn't a lot to go off of.)
EDIT: In the case of stats, here's the roll if it's needed Ability scores: 151311151012
(Here is my character submission. I will probably have to edit the backstory the more I learn about this world and I couldn't find the option of adding the Kitsune race since I assume it's homebrew... But yeah, my character is a Kitsune Rogue)

Yes, since the PCs will level up by 1 every time a chapter gets cleared.
"Since it is getting dark, perhaps we should be setting up camp nearby?" Viscountess haru started to look exhausted as she proposed, perhaps from the sudden inteference of the demon-like woman?
Basho nods agreement, weary from travel and recent excitement. ‘We still need to deal with the group barricading the road though. I doubt we’ll be safe until we’ve dealt with them, one way or another.’

"Indeed, that does pose a problem..." The Viscountess placed a hand under her chin seemingly in deep thought as you and your party members slowly made your way to back to the caravan with the demon-like female following behind her still looking upset from receiving a scolding.

((Sorry guys I'm gonna go ahead and withdraw. Best of luck. Give Salgim a bloody ending))
Doesn’t feel like we can proceed with only 2 players..? Do you want to wind up, or are you thinking to get some additional players Sora?

(Ok, i'll start recruiting here again.)

Hi there. I'm interested in playing. Was thinking a Badger Hengeyokai Barbarian? I'll roll abilities and see what comes out though.
Ability scores: 17 11 18 16 14 10
So this is what I've come up with to try and fit with your party and race requirements.
Name: Jun Kao (looking to go ancestral guardian for barbarian)
Character Sheet: https://ddb.ac/characters/34296065/qgZyZU
Backstory: A mercenary veteran displaced by the war and looking for a new group to call family and protect.
Looks good, I'll continue the story with offtopicperson and jorvicdave for now and have you two appear at their destination (a village).
