"May Tempos look favorably on your battles." Badran salutes the dead, then turns to his companions. "Did anyone receive a wound that needs tending to soon?"

Mist waves off Badran’s offer, though with a smile, before heading down the stairs with the group’s permission to scout ahead after retrieving her arrows from the cultist’s bodies.
As the final cultist fell Banlashan let out a sigh of relief, "So far so good, three less cultists for the murdering. Say, how do we know when we have them all?" he posited to the group as he watched Mist head down the stairs to scout ahead. Realizing there was more water he looked back to Thorin with a slightly questioning grin.
Mist moves forward and finds a chamber that has partially collapsed around a stone sarcophagus that was opened and looted long ago. (D11) Inside the sarcophagus are dust and humanoid bones.
Alyseris catches the sight of leather bound books amongst the bones and the dust.
From the back, atop Thorin's shoulders, Banlashan hears the word spellbook and his small gnome ears literally perk up. "I am all for making coin, but I might be able to learn something from them as well!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Looking back to Banlashan as she searches the room, Mist shakes her head in familiar confusion over his interests.
“Never got why you were so into the magic thing Ban. Seems like too much effort to me, all the studying and whatnot.”
If there is nothing else of interest in the room, and no way forward, she’ll turn, go back down the hall, (D9) and ask the party where to go next, before heading as quietly as she can once more into the wetness.
"East sounds good to me" Banlashan said regarding Alyseris' comment. "And you won't be think that once I can make you invisible" Banlashan said to Mist with a sly grin.
Mist moves once more forward and sees to the south D8 the back wall of a dry alcove is hung with a 5-foot-wide, 7-foot-tall tapestry. It depicts a grisly scene of four faceless figures ripping apart a fifth figure, who is screaming. As she inspects the tapestry she notices notice yellow mold growing around its edges.
To the north D7 is a chamber. Three wooden beams brace the ceiling of this flooded chamber, which features a stone altar covered with entrails in the northeast corner. Hanging on the wall above the altar is a three-foot-tall steel mask cast in the form of a frowning human skull. Further in there is another flooded room D6. A body floats face down a knife in his back.

Badran The Returner
No-one approaches.
There is a stair leading down to the west and once more you see that this level is under 2 feet of water.
The bodies have nothing of value and each have the skull headed flail.

Spellbook 2 has the personal rune of its previous owner burned into its umber cover. This book contains the following spells: charm person, find familiar, identify, magic missile, sleep.
Spellbook 3 is bound in scaly black reptile hide and contains the following spells: cloud of daggers, darkvision, detect magic, feather fall, mage armor, magic missile, Tasha’s hideous laughter.
Alyseris carefully examines the books, taking care not to cause any further damage.

‘We have some interesting spellbooks here.’ he says ‘We might get some use from them, but failing that they’re probably worth a fair bit.’
(OOC: Do I recognise the owner’s rune for the second book?)

Alyseris has stashed the books for now. ‘Of course you should look through them first, Banlashan. Knowledge is power.’
Once back to where they need to make another decision (D9) he suggests ‘The east door? I’d rather clear this area before heading down further...’
Thorin will take the second place behind whoever is scouting ahead he will remain about 20' behind.
